I got tired of replacing the broken glass back, so I just covered the phone with a silicone case, and clean it from time to time.

Great video, and I can't understand who have you dislikes unless they're just not good with this. The big change I made was the tools to open the back cover. I used a few plastic placeholders, but for the original opening, I used a #30 Exacto blade. I inserted it flush, turned it 90 degrees and made it over 75% around the phone before I had to reheat, putting in a few place holders along the way. It took about three minutes total. The #30 blades can also just be used as placeholders. It almost seems like they were designed for this.

This was such an awesome video. I had 0 experience working on phones but needed to replace this part. I figured I had nothing to lose since my phone was useless as is. It works great now!
A couple things that I'd like to add. This may be super obvious, but I didn't think about it till it was almost too late. Remove the Sim Card and its holder before removing the front. I almost broke the tray, but caught it just in time. And is there any way to prevent the phone from turning on while doing the repair? Mine turned on twice (without me touching the power button). The second time was WHILE I was replacing the assembly.
    Thank you, again!

So I have 3 qualcomm 2.0 charging adapters well technically 2 adapters 1 battery. I found that fast charging quit working so I thought the original adapter broke. I bought a battery and a adapter off amazon that were 2.0 certified and found that they don't work either. which then brought me to the conclusion that it had to be my phone. so I take a light and look at the charging port and find a very slight burn mark on the prong. Is this by chance the problem to my fast charging nightmare?

I have a question, is there a way to remove the wireless charger attached to the frame without breaking it? I just got a middle frame, but the wireless charger felt cheap, not like the one I have in use, so I put a lot of strength and it broke. I want to use the old wireless charging port in the new frame, is that possible?

other than the fact that he doesn't take off the battery flex as soon as he open's up the phone and uses metal tools to do so later, to open any kind of a flex inside a phone you really should use plastic tools but it's not a bad video. Also, I would recommend using a guitar pick instead of a metal blade.

I used an iPhone charging block with my mini USB cord because I didn't have my Samsung block. Do you think that is why my phone won't charge thru the port but still charges wirelessly? I kept making the bing sound when you connect your phone to charge so I unplugged it and it made the sound two more times. Also, the screen turned into green and red and would go back to my home screen when I press the home button. The screen doesn't do that anymore. PLEASE HELP! lol

Hey I dont see anyone commenting on how dangerous it is to use the metal tool to unplug the connectors while the battery is still connected, risk of having a short circuit is too high, but hey we all open our phones differently, my honest advise use a plastic tool for it or use ur nail no metal

or is there any way to check is fuses on the main board are still intact?

Just dropping a comment for anyone interested handling this task ...This video may seem very helpful although it is quite misleading ...I just did this job rightnow and followed each of his instructions my Galaxy S6 edge plus now charges just fine but now I face another issue. Both Menu and back button are non fuctionable . I did some further research and it's seems he may have left out an important part. You have to also install the touch sensors in which the charging panel comes with. Me not knowing simply cut off those 2 sensors rendering bottom functions useless.

What you could have done is show how poorly the 1st port functìons, have the replacement sitting in the camera shot. Go to replace it, then do a test on the replaced part. ... There are some real sceptics on youtube, and for good reason: there's some shitty, misleading people and videos. But this video was well done, otherwise. Thanks for sharing.

Idk how long you've been doing phone repairs but the first thing you should've been taught when learning was to NEVER use metal tools to remove connections or anything like that because they can knock resistors off the board or spark it and burn resistors and fry the phone. Please take this video and remake it using the proper tools before someone does it wrong like you are in the video and messes up their phone.
