Thank you, I appreciated this very much. I have a 2015 pressure washer with a GC190 that I let sit for 6 months with gas in it, a couple times, this last time it would not stay running. Only ran for about 2 seconds. After using gumout spray it would stay running with choke fully on and no pressure on the engine. I followed your steps (although mine does not have that idle screw on the bottom of the carb) and it works great now! Just finished pressure washing a 25' x 35' driveway. Thanks again.

This helped. I have a Honda and every other year It has problems. Now I can fix it rather that $40 to the shop. Thank you and great training.

tip when storing the machine for more the 30 days. Simply turn the fuel valve to off while running and let the Honda engine run until it stops. This helps use all of the fuel in the line and carburetor and will help to not allow fuel to sit in the line and carburetor bowl and break down causing varnish and build up. I also add sea-foam or some other fuel stabilizer to my fuel cans to help preserve fuel for storage. This method has worked well for me. Just do not let fuel sit in the line and carburetor and keep the fuel tank on the machines full so the least amount of air is in the tank as possible. Gas is not the same quality it once was due to the high pump prices... companies are making it as cheap as possible to stay competitive and as a result it deteriorates much fast then it used to.
If I plan to store a machine for a year or more that's when I drain all the fuel from the tank or just let it run completely empty. With proper preparation I think you can keep fuel in engines just try and not use fuel with any ethanol if possible. I like ethanol as a substitute it just likes to break down since it so environmentally friendly.

I did pretty much all of that except on the main jet I didn't know the long sleeve was in there after I took out the short flat head screwdriver jet part. It runs a little longer than it did before I cleaned it but still suddenly quits after about 10 or 15 seconds. Runs full throttle and smooth until then. Also while I was working on it I looked at the magneto and found a wasp nest on the ignition coil and rusted magnets on the fly wheel. Wire brushed the magnets but still quits after a few seconds. Any suggestions? Thanks TC

Can you tell me if there is a pilot low speed jet that can be unscrewed under that small screw on top or is there a hole that you can see that you can make sure that is cleaned out. I sprayed in there on my carb and it seems better but still likes a little choke when hot to run smooth so I know I need to go back in there to clean it out better.

You may want to check your air filter, muffler and spark arrest or They may be clogged. Or you just may have a worn out carburetor.

For $15.00 i can buy an entirely new carb and just slap it in. Save me all the hassle of rebuilding the carb. :)

Wear GLOVES when using carb cleaner. It’s primarily acetone, which penetrates your skin and is toxic. Very good video though. Thanks.
