      I assume you're talking about the TPP, which he said repeatedly during his campaign he was going to get rid of if elected. People voted for that.

      I never thought he was going to deport all illegals so to me that's like the one big thing that I can understand people would be upset over. Anyway we shouldn't deport all of them. Some should be allowed to stay. Especially if you're an adult who came here when you were a small child. I have friends like that who are Americans at heart and should be given a chance.

      Andy Dominguez ILLEGAL!!!!!!!!

    • @seanmiller292
      @seanmiller292 7 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Andy Dominguez you know how easy it would be for these illegal adults that grew up in america to become citizens and how the Government would have worked with them to obtain citizenship? or, are you ignorant enough to believe that these adults that grew up in America have had no chance to apply for citizenship or at least marry an American to become LEGAL...
      I don't know if you realize what they are doing is not only illegal but unfair to the millions of people trying to do it the right way. My Grandparents fled Germany during WW2 and had to live in Canada for 5 years to wait for an opening, they had to study and learn our language, they were taught what it was to be American. Why should Pedro get special treatment because he paid the right coyote?
      If you had a room for rent would you like a squatter (illegals) to barge in steal a room and just hide in your house never paying you anything and getting to make decisions on the money, or a tenant paying rent (taxes) that has had a background check and knows the rules of living there?

    • @plmokm33
      @plmokm33 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      The thing is, it looks like he won't be deporting all of them. He promised to repeal the amnesties that Obama granted some illegals on day one, and now his cabinet member is saying it's not a priority.

    The best aspect of the whole Trump/waterboarding thing is that Trump is actually following the advice of those with knowledge rather than believing that he, Trump, is correct and others are not despite those others having far more knowledge and experience in the field. It is a hopeful sign for the Trump administration.

    • @PsychTek

      Not to be "Well look at what they do" but really, decapitation beatings, and the target has not control. As in even if you give the information they want, they will continue the torture till you die. The other side of the problem is people feelings. Feelings, emotions, what ever you want to call them, has and will always cloud true judgement. People just need to see it in a logical, moral way. 1 will it help 2 what are they doing in this situation 3 is the action being done morally just. Like almost no one like seeing others in pain, but would you treat a pedo/rapist/murder as a puppy/child? Neither would I. If they are not civil why treat them as respectful human beings.

      I think it's a waste of moeny, a technological border would be more valid. A smuggler will need 100 bucks and two mexican to undo billions dollars worth of construction. In fact they proved that people get get through the proposed border fairly easy. Unless they improved the design. A crew went under, through, and over the wall fairly easily.
      Securing the border with sensors and drones is the better way to go. That way we can actually stop the people crossing rather than just hoping the wall will stop them, which I doubt it will. No one is going to go through a hellish environment than arrive at the wall and go "Well shit, I guess I will go back than".

Tired of the bias in the news (beyond political), tired of conservative news sites with more bs than a dairy farm, and your debates, speeches, and podcasts have been refreshing. You've made me challenge my views and though I disagree with a small amount, if you ever run for office I'd be proud to help get someone with a solid head and strong morals into the driver's seat of this country as others seek to ruin America. I don't think they mean to, honestly, but some people forget history lessons far too quickly.

    For those who haven't ever done it, waterboarding doesn't cause pain, it causes panic. If you ever faced a shower head or had water hit your face in a way that causes you to breathe funny, it is basically the same thing. Your body thinks you are submerged even though you consciously know you are not. The being held down is what causes the panic during the experience.

    I never understood that whole "up in arms" thing about torture. Our enemies don't play by the "rules" (geneva convention, etc...) So why the hell is it frowned upon when a terrorist is tortured? There's a reason people do it, it WORKS. They want to kill us and people are bitching about us hitting them and stuff during an interrogation? That's ridiculous. What he knows could be vital to national security!

    It cost 14 billion to build a tunnel from France to England and half of that was the cost of the drills needed, there is no way a wall should cost that much.

      also, they went through terrain, rather than having to deal with it.

    Ben is awesome. He is someone who can separate words from actions, i.e. paraphrased: 'What Trump does is 75% good. 80% of what he says is crazy. Therefore focus on what he is doing.' Only people who are truly thinking about things can see the difference between political rhetoric, intent, and action.

    I am a naturalized Asian American who came here almost 40 years ago on a work visa and has done so by the rules. I have never attempted to skirt the immigration law and have never been illegal even for one day. My "extreme vetting" was about a year and a half. I went through not only the work vetting of my degree and what I could potentially contribute to the benefit of the American people, but I also went through tedious medical and psychological vetting. All kinds of blood tests and x-rays to make sure I didnt carry diseases with me. I had loads and loads of supporting affidavits of personal community and work character references that I presented in my behalf. I had to take an English test the TOEFL to make sure I was English proficient and yes that I could actually communicate effectively in English to anyone in America. To me that was what "extreme vetting" meant to which I really didnt mind because I wanted to become a part of the American fabric of life eventually as I considered it a privilege and not a right to be welcomed here. Remember it is not a right of anyone who is a foreigner to live in this country. It is at the good grace of the American people who are native born to welcome any foreigner to come. The American people have the absolute right to pick and choose who they want to enter their country or not and there are rules set up for that as it is so with all the other 193 countries in the UN. So why are many foreigners so presumptuous to characterize the opposite? It bugles the mind so profusely. Try going to my country in Asia without the necessary compliance of their own version of "extreme vetting" or perhaps be audacious and sneak in illegally and see where that will get you. In the slammer with no due process of law. LOL!
