Texting has to be done at the correct pace. Never text back straight away. It looks like you have nothing better to do. In fact it's good to be busy and tell them that. Texting is good to keep in touch, simply NOT TOO OFTEN. Or to extensive. Wait for the reply then wait some time before you reply - that's the golden rule.
On the other hand: if you already read the message it can mean stress not to reply because you are not getting done with it. Sometimes its easiest to only check the phone not that often or to mute your SO's texts ;P
Back 2017 I met this really pretty girl on a friend's debut and we partied, drank and even played truth or dare with her friends. Eventually we gave each other's social media and we went on talking on messenger since then. I really blew it up whenever I try to think of it now because I was really clingy to her. I believe and i agree it kills attraction. For example you just only meet this girl or boy only once and you continue both chatting until you both attracted to each other. You are chatting all the time without any face time.
