    The skill and resourcefulness of these guys is awesome. Many years ago I worked in auto salvage with a guy from eastern Europe. Some tools and many kinds of spare parts were rare there, so, like him, they learned to fabricate whatever they needed from scratch, you name it! And they did it well.

    I worked at a body shop for many years and started my own shop about 4 years ago and I had one at my original job and also bought one for my shop now to weld on quarter panels and different sheet metal panels to have a factory look to them and have the same strength as stock. Mine I have now cost me close to 3k! It is very nice and has multiple attachments for different jobs but after seen this video I really regret clicking on it to see how I could have saved so much frikn money by not buying the one I have now!! Lol I'll make one so I don't completely burn out my other one because I use it a lot! Way cool man!! Thanx for sharing!!

    It's nice for a change ,to see something that says do-it-yourself and not have to have a 200$ welder, 400$ metal lathe. something that you could actually do with a hacksaw, a file, and a couple of drill bits. now this is something that anybody could probably build and I praise this guy for this. it's awesome finally someone gets it. nobody else seem to get the concept, do-it-yourself.

    I wish everyone would use your method in making DIY videos. Some blow hards spend half the time tell everyone how wonderful they are. Good job Mr. Made In Poland.
    Chciałbym, żeby każdy wykorzystał twoją metodę do robienia filmów dla majsterkowiczów. Niektóre harderzy spędzają połowę czasu na mówieniu wszystkim, jak cudowni są. Dobra robota Mr. Made In Poland

    Have another thing to ask you Sir. Could you make a super efficient batch box rocket stove so that this coming winter I can stay warm ??? A stove that can take long and large pieces of wood can make everyone happy and warm. Thanks a bunch and keep the videos coming too.

    You're very quick and you've simplified the method of construction. The results are impressively strong. Mine took ages to design and make. Congratulations on a useful welder. I think you'll be able to use yours for welding up rechargable batteries too, if you don't linger too long on the "ON" button.

    last used one in shop class, 30 years ago. Spot welding a piano hinge to some sheet metal with my shop teacher looking over my shoulder. I'll never forget it. Got one of my fingers a little too close and jerked my hand away real quick. He didn't even move. Without hesitation he says "MMmm. Smells like steak!"

  • @trackmyactivity
    @trackmyactivity 7 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    Amazing! How come you can screw the welding connectors to the aluminum arm? Why does current not choose to go through arm? (Electricity noob)

    • @trackmyactivity
      @trackmyactivity 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      5:28 thanks! Had he not done that, we would have a short circuit right?

    • @trackmyactivity
      @trackmyactivity 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Should we also assume he has direct current? And the top arm is the ground? And that is why he has no risk of getting electroshocked? (If it was direct and the upper arm was not the ground, then would he have a risk of getting electroshocked?)
      Or is it rather the fact that there is so little voltage that in any case (DC or AC) he will not get electroshocked?
      Thanks for your answer!

    • @3xantrik
      @3xantrik 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      trackmyactivity spotweld has 1.5V cable has so little resistance. Your body has around 2k. Current will not go through your body. Always will use metal way. And yes, spotweld already itself is a short circuit and you are using heat caused by high current.

      SpartaGames actually a drill or even an impact will not hurt threads or the tap using it to thread it out I'm a journeyman mechanic with 30 years experience and I used to use my impact to flush out and clean out threaded holes so it won't hurt it out and force it past where it needs to be forced

      alright, im just saying out of my little experience that tapping with a drill has ruined and stripped taps for me. might just be cheap tap sets. Keep up with the mechanic work.

      I can see how in the fast speed video using a drill appears more dangerous and hap-hazard than it really is compared to like when I've used a small variable speed drill to drive a tap. Using a slow speed careful to keep it straight works well for me on smaller taps 1/4" and smaller. It seems Europeans are more likely to do things this way. Just joking

    Love it! I wish a lot of these how to videos were done in high speed. Lots more efficient way to learn some of this stuff. The music fit in perfectly too.

    Microwave oven transformers are leakage flux transformers.
    If you remove the iron rod seen at 0:42 from the transformer, the output current becomes very strong.

    You broke it before you finished it! Oil in insulation!!!! BAD !!!! Hydrocarbons break down insulation. You manufactured a primary failure mode into the design.
