It's not just dry eyes and mouth. It's also sinusitis, vaginal dryness, itching due to skin dryness, hair loss, IBS, nerve pain, chronic fatigue......and the list goes on. They give you the brochure version of symptoms. There is nothing straightforward about any autoimmune disorder. You have to research it yourself and talk to other who have it. That helped me.

One of the issues I had with this presentation is that you state ANA and other test are definitive. Not always. Often the diagnosis is made by symptoms. It can take years to get a diagnosis. Symptoms from other maladies can over lap further muddy the waters when making a diagnosis. The fatigue was not mentioned and as it can be disabling, it should be addressed. Dry eyes and mouth are just the tip of the iceberg. .

I have Sjögren's syndrome and it is awful. I've made many vlogs documenting how it affects my life.

Is that why when it swells I rubbed it and it's made my mouth actually water, I do have mild fibro as they say but I feel super old sometimes.

Sjogren's affects the heart! I just had CABG quad bypass and the surgeons foo-foo'd me having Sjogren's (I have primary). Recovery in ICU from heart surgery was horrible!

I have Sjögren's syndrome and I do take medication for it but I have to wait for two months for my doctors appointment and I've never skipped a month without my medicine, so i don't know how I'll do with not taking my medicine for two months and I have a job. Do you know what will happen if I don't take my medicine for two months?
What kind of meds do you take?
Will plasmapheresis help in sjogren's beside the symptomatic treatment?
Excellent question! I was taught "you don't diagnose via AB and you don't treat AB" (except for rare cases) but I'll ask my rheuma professor tomorrow and let you know!
