Definitely a soft shooting tack driver. The most accurate semi 7.62x39 gun I own. I don't care about weight. I put full wood furniture on mine and run a suppressor with 1-6 scope. Good training to offhand shoot a RPD.

They are incredibly accurate. I don't mind the weight while hiking or training. You don't really notice it until you are just standing there free handing at a slow pace like that, lol. It's hands down one if my favorites.

I cannot bitch about either. Out to 300 yards, I can reliably hit steel with my AKM. 200 yards I am 100% with mine but I mounted an optic. I have a PTR-91. Love both platforms. Better is relative. The AKM is way better for close combat. The mags both rock in. If you use the AKM with an optic, the real world difference is negligible except for the weight. Irons are way better than the AKM. I have always felt the AKM irons are rough. The front post covers too much and I like the diopter more than I thought I would. But if I had to run and gun, I'd be taking the AKM. That said I want a PTR32 because roller locking guns are hella accurate. It would maximimize the accuracy of 7.63x39.

Hi, not looking to tell you how to shoot, but just looking to pass off some filming advice. I am a fan of brevity so I will make this quick.
    - The best time to record or photograph anything is shortly after dawn and shortly before sunset. This is known as the Golden Hour and there are sites and tools online to figure out when that time is in your area. Doing that will make your videos look great.
    - Invest in a lens hood so even when you are pointing in the direction of the sun, the camera doesn't get washed out with light
    - Get a cardboard cutout or a sign or something to help with setting up your camera before you stand in front of it.
    - It really helps to record some b-roll footage to talk over so people are engaged and so you have some visual aid to help describe features. Panning shots of the rifle, laying the big parts of the rifle on a table like the exploded view diagram that comes in the manual.
    - On cameras there is a mode that puts a 3x3 grid of squares and actually, I will let Jerma explain that because he does a great job th-cam.com/video/OdVqJ5rMrTc/w-d-xo.html
You got some room to learn, but I think you have a pretty good idea of how to make an interesting bit of video. Keep it up!

If only PTR could fix the mag and realiability issues.
Its certainly a fine platform. And they definitely need to release the 93 version in 5.56.
Why no "bolt hold open" feature?
Can the engineers not figure that out?
As an Army vet, i appreciate the "hold open/button mag release/new mag insert" procedure, its certinly much faster.

Awesome gun, great shooting. Love the concept of this rifle, would love one in a small barrel configuration but thebissues I'm hearing of the 762 on the roller delay system is concerning and I have heard issues of guns breaking roller popping and various issues.
The weight issue is a concern too, nit because it's merely heavy but because the gun is so unwieldy and bulky. I would have to get one in the hk 53 or 33 config, and a little 8 or 10 inch barrel really 10 inch is all you need to fully take advantage of the 762 cartridge, with a 23 inch barrel kind of being a little to muc u but still the second best option.
The great part of the 862 is that you can use the 762 cartridge to dull effectiveness with such a small barrel because the gun powder is burned so fast on the round, so taking advantage of this andnhsving a light compact gun is my whole agenda since I love the 762 round and it's easier to come across for now than 300 blk.
So getting a bulky hk 91 base hk per 32 is just kind of counter productive, even thought I just fkj love the concept and lokm of it.
I'm trying to get anything outside kf aks that chamber 762 and this has so much potentual

@Mithradates_of_Los_Angeles I think most of the issues were worked out in the first gen. As far as popping rollers that happens really on all the roller delayed blowback guns at some point really. But I see what youbare saying about a shorter barrel. Mine is 18" I believe but it's just so accurate.

Also it was the dirtiest gun ever, I dont know if its the design or what but after 100 rds it looked like an AK after 1k rds. A cool range toy but as far as a fighting weapon a 7llb AK or AR will be chosen over a 9lb gun same caliber imo.

@@projectredbeard2199 so I currently own a Zpap92 pistol, I never owned a rifle AK variant but I’d like to for sure, Accuracy is a must in any platform I get, I believe in having a pistol version of your rifle just in case something happens but also for CQB (hypothetically) which is why I have a Zpap 92 and before that a real Romanian Draco (12.5 inch) My rule of thumb; one is none and two is one, I love that the PTR 32 uses AK mags and I’m itching for a rifle at this point however the M70’s I’m torn between happen to be a wooden fixed stock or magpul furniture/ folding stock, with the wood grain fixed stock JMAC Customs has an adapter that allows for Sig and Sig style folding stocks so if I dont like the fixed stock I have a more of a compact option to add on, Wasr 10 is also another decent option but of course it would be the cheapest amongst the two however I want a longer barrel for accuracy with the possibility to have a folding stock but would you rather carry a PTR 32 and a 556 rifle or an AK and a 556 rifle ?

@Vanguard Gaming gotchya, so for me, I don't own a 556 anymore, I probably should, but I sold mine because I had way more 308 and 7.62x39 ammo so I just stuck with those. The ak platform is plenty accurate and more accurate than most people think. We have some PSA GF3 aks, and they are awesome aks, 300 yards with a micro red dot all day long. The PTR32 is just stupid accurate, like 1 moa with TulAmmo, that's why I made it my DMR rifle. If you want an all-purpose rifle, then an AK is probably the way to go. I have not run a Zpap, so i dont really have an opinion on them, but the M70s are gtg, and if you want to save some more money or put more money in ammo, maybe take a look at the psa Ak47, forged trunion, bolt, and BCG. I honestly think I just seen them have some blemished gf3s for like 599. But if you want to stick traditional import, then m70.

While it is definitely heavier than an AK the accuracy is crazy for a 7.62x39 caliber rifle and even crazier to note that that is still with cheap steel cased ammo

I have one and I don't think it's better than an AK at all. More magazine and and ammunition sensitive than any AK I've ever run as well as heavier. Fun gun but it's obvious why the Finns stuck with their Valmets instead of going with these.

@dbmail545 Mine hasn't been ammo sensitive at all. Accuracy wise, at range, it is far superior to the AK. Heavy? In a way. I now have it configured as a true DMR and it works that niche very nicely. The AK does have its advantages don't get me wrong.

Seems it would be worth it to get an adjustable stock and Trigger Job done on it.

An adjustable stock would be cool, but idk why I kinda like this one lol. And for the trigger, I'm not really sure there is a whole lot of options, I know there used to be a guy people talked about that did hk trigger jobs but I can't remember the name and I think it was like $300. The trigger is heavy but very crisp.

@@projectredbeard2199 Bill Springfield still does Trigger Work I believe. Its like an $80 dollar job or $300 for a new one already done.

The ptr 32 is a 9lb rifle bare throw an optic on it, throw an base on it and throw a full mag and you are at almost 14lbs. Idc what you think that is heavy for a 7.62x39 rifle. Period. An AK with a full mag is 7.5lbs

    • @projectredbeard2199

@John Outdoors I never count rounds. Why remove mental concentration away from your target? The HK design does not lock to the rear. The mag that I reinsert had a primer that did not ignite, so I dropped the mag out, and as it was falling, I seen there were a few rounds left. I had already fire a majority of that mag, and obviously if I wasn't just out shooting, it would have not been re-inserted. Also, yes, the sun was directly in front of me, it didn't mean I couldn't hit my target, I just clearly stated that I wish I had some coverage to ease in visibility.
