The Stage guitar is Cordoba’s first nylon string electric guitar! Years in the making, the Cordoba Stage is a combination of mastery and innovation. Created to bring you the same unplugged acoustic Cordoba sound across all platforms, from studio to stadium.
The Stage combines a solid Spruce top with a figured Flamed Maple Veneer for projection, volume, and a distinctive aesthetic flair. At the heart of the guitar is the revolutionary Stage Pickup System paired with a solid, fully chambered body for reduced weight and enhanced resonance, and a robust, tonal foundation. Equipped with easy- to-access Volume, EQ, and Body Blend knobs the Stage Pickup System allows players to dial in their preferred acoustic tone. Co-developed with Fishman to produce Cordoba's authentic, acoustic nylon-string tone, the Stage is revolutionary in sound and feel.
Cordoba’s unique Fusion Neck with a comfortable 48mm nut width and fast 16” Fretboard Radius is slightly thinner than a traditional nylon string guitar and provides a playing experience closer to that of a steel string guitar. This familiarity offers an easy transition for steel string players and players with smaller hands to the world of nylon string guitar.
The stage-friendly body shape with 1.5” (40mm) body thickness, a scaled down perimeter, and meticulously carved contours provides ergonomic comfort to players of any style. The deep cutaway gives easy access to the higher frets perfect for on-stage solos that surpass the 10th fret.
A solid, fully chambered body provides reduced weight, enhanced resonance, and allows the top to resonate freely for natural acoustic tone and ease of movement while playing. Strategically placed Cordoba soundhole arches aid in the vibration of the guitar and natural nylon-string tone.

I just received mine today. It is exquisite in appearance, tone, and playability. I am not disappointed at all, other than I can see that the strings need to be replace.
I play in a big band, and I usually play my archtop (Eastman AR805CE). I got a lot of compliments from the band about the beautiful tone and clarity of the jazz chords. This guitar is rapidly becoming my favorite guitar.
How do you feel about it 1 year down the line ? Also how is it unplugged ? Thanks
any particular reason string need to replaced? Also, should we use an acoustic amplifier or an electric one? Thank you for your guidance.
i have a godin that i absolutely love but im very happy to see more guitars in the scene
Played my first solo gig with it last night, 1-27-23, classic rock stuff, looping etc. it inspired me to go way beyond my normal comfort zone. Changed my whole gig and I LOVED it!!!
Did you use distortion? Were there feedback issues?
@@WombatSteve no distortion. A bit of chorus here and there and just reverb and delay through my PA.
@@WombatStevejust stopping in to say, I use a good deal of crunch. I’m running my Cordoba stage through a Marshall solid state stack funny enough. This thing is very interesting. Takes a lot of messing with the tone to get it right but it’s such a nice playing, looking, and sounding guitar once you do. Responds very well to distortion. The final knob on the bottom is the “mic” blend so you can bring in JUST enough microphone that you get the soft round tone into the distortion, but not so much that it feeds back. It almost always feeds back if you crank that knob though and you’re playing LOUD. Most the time though, it’s very good at isolating the signal.
I'm really struggling to find any reviews with overdrive. I just wanna hear it for lead tones

I’m happy with my purchase overall as I wanted something to practice fingerstyle and Spanish strumming on that wouldn’t eat through my nails like my steel strings can do. It passes on that front. I do plan to have the frets addressed by a tech since they feel gritty. Basically everything is flawless excluding the smoothness of the frets

Some to this kind of nylon guitars I have heard loose the nylon sound when plugged in which one keep it or is related to the amps

I've noticed a bit of a buzzing sound coming from the bottom of the guitar when I play, particularly when plucking the treble strings. Anyone else?
Would love to play one of these. I have a Godin ACS SA but it has 0 acoustic resonance. I can see this having some resonance properties.

Damn this is a beautiful guitar. Was looking an acoustic & Tim Henson dropped his new signature nylon guitar. That's a gorgeous guitar too. I bought it partially off the hype. Then I saw this beauty & now im seriously considering cancelling & getting this one instead.
@Daniel I ruled out the Cordoba. If I wasn't such a big fan of Tim & Polyphia. I probably would go with that one though.
I like that you can blend the two pickups on the Cordoba. Seems like it may give you a better variety of tone. However, id be running either through Neural DSP so I don't think it really matters since I can really dial it in with that. I think anyone would be happy with either guitar though.
If I do switch it up, I would go with a regular classical nylon instead. I don't think Nylon-Electrics can really match their acoustic resonance & tone. But the ease of using plugins/amps, and recording make them more appealing to me.
I don't have to pay until ~March when it ships, so i'll decide then lol.

I've got a Godin like this Unless you have a good sound man it's hard to cut through on stage . My experience great guitars tho and will produce any sound you want.

You can and for quiet playing. I think it sounds really good.
Listening to a few video reviews of this, and again I'm hearing intonation issues, especially higher up on the fretboard. This has me concerned.
so it's this and Tim Hesen's TOD10N...liking the nut width of the Cordoba over the Ibanez though...48mm vs 46mm

the only cheap about it is the Price...other than that sounds good!!
It sounded cheap only when miced in the room, cause the acoustic sound isn't much to write home about. But the plugged tone is really surprisingly good. I haven't played this myself, but based on videos it is up there with Godin and the rest of the overpriced ones. Godin doesn't sound as good as it perhaps should when plugged in imo, yet they charge astronomical sums for that one.
