Thirty years after the events of the first film, a new blade runner, LAPD Officer K (Ryan Gosling), unearths a long-buried secret that has the potential to plunge what's left of society into chaos. Would've been nice to include the deleted scenes in the bonus features.
Absolutely wonderful movie! On par with the original, and quite possibly even better! Ryan Gosling is incredible, and I wasn't much of a fan of his until I saw him in this movie! Harrison is fantastic, as always, but it's the visual impact, the emotional roller coaster, the atmosphere, all of it.....they make the movie an experience like no other has done in quite some time. As you can tell, I am a huge fan of Blade Runner 2049, as well as the original Blade Runner. I could watch both, back to back, and enjoy every minute of them! Masterpieces!

theyre actually a blue print on how you should lid a set/scene!watching the silhouette of Rachel coming up the stairs made me gasp!
I'd have loved to see some missing scenes from this film, I can almost quote it world for word! So so good, I've been obsessed with Bladerunner since I was a kid. This is a very worthy sequel, I'm sure it will be treated as such in time. Flawless work.

That music that starts playing as k and his fake gf r flying over the dam is so badass. The movie is dope AF. Ive liked Denis Villeneuve's sci Fi flicks. Dune was cool too. U can totally tell he directed it

in fact he order the storage of Props in MGM studios in England
except the Sets who were destroy to make place in Studios for new production (standart procedure )
the props remain several years there, until MGM close there studios and sell the stuff or trow it away.

The only thing I didn't like about the second movie is the Stunning art work architecture and designs. Also there was a conjestion to the first movie as Harrison ford tries to figure things out within the hustle and bustle of the city.

2:21 Is that the automatic response to questions concerning female characters?! Joi is a friggin' computer program! She's not a woman. She's only smart because she has access to information and data.She's only sexy because the programmer designed her that way. Strong? She's a hologram. A manipulator. That comment makes her look like she has no clue what her character is about.
The movie intentionally keeps everything ambiguous and challenges audience to come to own interpretation. Real vs. virtual, replicant vs human, real memory vs implanted, etc. Replicants can be "more human than human"...
There is only ONE interpretation, regardless of intentions. Don't keep letting them tell you to come up with your own and keep scrambling everyone's thinking.

I think JOI is conscious, and capable of emotion. That scene where she's looking at the DNA, and remarks how she's 0s and 1s. It takes real intelligence and capacity to think introspectively to make comments like that. The art of manufacturing minds has been perfected for half a century by 2049. It's entirely plausible that they'd managed to create minds that operate fully outside of an organic body.
Mediocre film - a shame that Ford didn't act or dress like Deckard in any way, a shame that the BR world was too "clean", a shame that the music was basically noise created by Hans Zimmer who thought that using a CS80 would make him sound like Vangelis. Should have made a prequel and explored the world of Nexus-5 and Tyrell creating Nexus-6 for military use.
