Thanks, Taylor. That was such a great video. I've been away from Malaysia for 5 months now, and your video just fueled my desire to return. It won't be long now. My MM2H application has been submitted, so now it's just the waiting game for me.
Aeroline is fantastic. Used it about 10 times. Always on time, friendly, clean, comfortable. It is the best choice between kl and penang. thanks for the video.
Taylor, one of your best. you are pretty good at the editing, looked professional. Glad you are enjoying your life in Malaysia, you look to be very happen.
Love this, Taylor. I have a friend coming from Scotland in December who will go to Penang for a day or two, so they have this to help them know what the bus is like. So helpful. Thank you!
Another great video! Thanks, Taylor. I was just in KL for 5 days & took the train to Butterworth. My friend was visiting from Canada & was not a street food fan. I found a fabulous restaurant with great food on the 8th floor of 1st Avenue Mall. The food at Cloud 8 was incredible, especially the grilled sea bass. I'm not a fish fan at all but, their grilled sea bass completely blew my dislike of seafood/fish out of the water...no pun intended. Lol!
Hi Taylor! I loved your pick of the YT video music! Nice guitar tune. Being not familiar with where Penang was, I looked it up - a notable 4 hour road travel time from KLCC according to Google Maps. So I guess it was cheaper - and certainly less frustrating - than getting on a flight. Indeed, pray for us here in the USA! ☹
Your bus ride reminded me when in 2019, i was religiously commuting between Singapore and KL on every Friday. Flight were too expensive and my only option was bus. And now i kinda miss it..
Looked like a lovely scenic trip up to Penang, Taylor. On my very first trip to SE Asia in 2001, I happened to stay at the Corus (then called the Ming Court) and had a beautiful view of the twin towers from my room. Unfortunately, today, I'm not so sure the view is as good with all the extra towers now built. I also rented a car and drove up to Cameron Highlands. On other trips, I've visited Penang a few times now; it's always fun to spend some time there and experience the contrast to KL. I was hoping to get back to Malaysia in January when I'll again be in SE Asia but, unfortunately, won't be able to make it there on this trip. Hopefully another time. Thanks for all your videos on living in Malaysia; I always look forward to seeing them! The background music on this one was particularly nice.
I would love to drive over Penang 2nd bridge.... I lived in Kedah and always used the first bridge to drive over to George Town after they stopped running the "old" car ferries..... I did sail under the 2nd bridge when it was being built and again after it was completed... they had the most beautiful lights on the 2nd bridge at night as seen from the water... maybe you have been there in the night and seen that lighting
I tried the bus once it took forever constructions everywhere . I love ETS from KL central to Butterworth . Taylor can you video that segment and you get to take a ferry to Penang 😂
Mr Andrew around the 9th minute of the video I believe that is Gua Tempurung this is the side seen from the highway. I don't know if you've been inside for the cave tour, its quite interesting and a large cave
Great vlog. We will be in Penang for 4 days in March. We have been there numerous times before, but always enjoy it. Look forward to your future experiences. Sorry about your election! Very worrying outcome! At least you are in Malaysia. Take care x
Maybe the next visit, take the ETS and the ferry ride. It will be a different experience. Of course there’s a bit of walking from the ETS station to the jetty, however I think a bit of walking is good.. 😊
Thanks Andy for taking us along. Much different experience from the bus back in the end of the last century when I can remember getting off an old Benz "Limousine" bus with flat air suspension, No AC miserable, cramped seats, about half way between Penang and K.L. and hiring a cab for the rest of of the ride. What I pray for most is an end to weaponized Identity Politics that is psycho-emotionally destroying America and seems to still plague Malaysia as well.
I love Penang, after for sometime. We went by bus 28 of us and my work colleagues. We had meeting Stay at YMCA Hotel. Penang AMAZING ❤ Love that jambu jerok in Green & Pink Colour. We had fun shopping. Enjoy the bus ride and Penang Sir 🙏 Watching Your channel from PJ
Another great video! We usually take the train between KL and Penang but might take the bus next time. Was the lunch you showed included in the price or did you buy it?
Hi Taylor, like you I prefer to take a coach from SG to KL rather than take a flight. KLIA is a tad too far, besides the coach stops at either KL Sentral or 1Utama which is nearer to PJ. The only constraint is crossing the causeway, the coach takes about 2 hours to allow passengers to alight twice to get passport clearance both at M’sia and SG side. Aeroline does look much better than First Coach I took last month fr KL-SG, the seats looked worn and there’re tiny ants on my seat they’re biting me 😅
I always take Aeroline back to Penang from KL but I always avoid travel on it on weekends as d highway can get busy n pray not untowards incidents or accident along d way dat one could well be stuck on d bus for extra hours albeit there’s a built in toilet haha…taking ETS is another gd alternative n safe d worries of highway conditions, d only snag is it only goes to Butterworth n not Penang island!
@ try taking ETS train from KL Sentral to Butterworth now only 4 hrs duration n extremely punctual, from there take d speedboat ferry to Georgetown Penang island is another good alternative…their business class train seats usually selling like hot cakes!
Lately the NS Highway has been so jammed packed with cars. I think the ETS would be a better choice. One day was driving down to KL from Ipoh right after Diwali and it took me 3.5 hrs!!!! On normal days it would only take 2.2 hrs. So if I'm going to take some kind of public/mass transit system, it would have to be the train/ETS. When the West Coast Expressway is done, then it should lighten the load on the NS highway. Right now it feels like the 405 in downtown LA, especially after festivities.
Nice on the Areoline Bus, hope u have enjoyed the ride, hope u have a pleasant weekend in Penang , nice video, i was a ex staff of Corus Hotel ! If u need more info of the hotel u can refer to me ya !

The West Malaysia MM2H or the SMM2H?
Big difference commitment wise
@@teatree6228 I chose the West Malaysia MM2H. I had already been planning on purchasing a property in KL, probably in Desa ParkCity, so it made sense.

I agree! It's my favorite bus company too. But one time it took
over 7 hours
@ Was the delay related to traffic or was it a mechanical problem or lateness. If it was traffic congestion then that is not the fault of aeroline.
@ traffic, yes. On a holiday weekend.
One problem is the need to go to the toilet that's why I don't drink much on the bus. I prefer the ETS train nowadays haha.
@ There is a toilet for emergencies. Plus they make a stop half way there. Most people can wait 2 hours or so.
