Hi Dr. Kathleen, I recall watching a video about the FTCE Middle Grades 5-9 and 6-12 Essay response video. It included the book: Poetry 180. I cannot find this video or any videos relating to this part of the exam. Looking for some direction with this as I failed this section the first time. Thanks!

Is 5039 easier than 5047? What is the main difference?
The 5039 has 130 multiple choice and 2 constructed response in 150 minutes. The 5047 has 110 multiple choice and 2 constructed response in 160 minutes. It also includes an English language arts instruction content category. It is dependent upon how well you know middle school English as opposed to secondary English. What is the difference between 5038 and 5039?
The 5039 includes a writing component. Otherwise, the tests and the books are the same. Thanks for watching!

Which was harder
I hate that a person is only allowed 30 minutes for the constructed response section. I only wish for 45 minutes to give a clear supportive response.
It is difficult. Never in life will you be given only 30 min to do a task like that. It's not a relevant task in y opinion. However, hopefully this video will help you get through it.
I've taken this test 4x.... I Am in SC I need a qualifying score of 168. My highest score out of the four times is 151.

I’ve taken this exam 5 times and failed by 1 point each time! I get a 6 or 7 out of 12 on the writing section! I’m in SC also so I need a 168 but I’m haunted by the 167 I have repeatedly gotten!

@@kendrickbarnes64 I have submitted the request to challenge it this time bc it’s so frustrating to continue to get that close without explanation. It will still take a full month to get the results of my request and it’s holding me up from graduating. I still may take the test again just in case they choose to uphold the score I won’t waste a month waiting.
