Great idea and simple. Have a new Silverado and always used to back off Polaris snowmobile with a bit of gas. Couldn't back off truck with snowmachine as carbides would catch catch ramp . Your method with the 2 pieces of plywood fixes that. I may use heavy puck board rather than plywood for the carbides to ride on. Like you, I have a sheet of 3/8" plywood on bed to protect it as spray in liner so I use 2x6' pieces of puck board attached on top of plywood that allows each carbide to ride on as the snowmobile goes in and out of the truck box. Saves the plywood from the carbide although plywood is likely fine. Cheers!
