I’m familiar with this structure from my Mandarin studies, and I never saw 到 translated as “can”, mostly it was like ‘when a verb has a direct object in the sentence, use 到 after the verb. 我看到这个节目. Your approach is more intuitive and simple 👌🏻

A tip that helped me better differentiate between tones 1, 3, and 6:
Tone 1 is mi
Tone 3 is rae
Tone 6 is do

The traditional method you can’t go wrong.
It's great that you could manage the tone. It's not easy! :)
using Gboard: Catonese - Jyutping - Pinyin standard "yale". this makes texting incredibly simple.
Its very very helpful amenda but actually how to use that tone 1,2,3,4,5 for same words anyway its nice
