In this video we will learn how to connect to our KUKA KRC4 remotely using RDP (Remote Desktop Protocol) with UltraVNC as an alternative to KUKA Virtual Remote Pendant and how to share hard drives and folders through the network.

Hi! Great video, thank you for the insturctions! Do you know a way to switch between T1 and EXT via UltraVNC (or any other way to switch operation mode remotely)?

Hi thank you.
It's not possible to switch via ultra vnc as far as I know since you are only using a remote desktop. If you get to do it let us know, I think should be possible since kuka also uses it's remote pendant software and changes the modes.

Hi, I managed to conect to the robot but the resolution of the screen or something like that seems to be incorrect, since the HMI looks weird, and the program lines are on top of the rest of the interface and I can't see the buttons there.

The minimize hmi option is greyed out even when logged in as admin. What could be the cause?

Hello, I never try this before. But I wanna ask, is all krc4 can operated remotely?and is there any additional component needed for wireless connectivity or it already attached inside krc4?. Thanks

Hi, you can operate the screen, not changing the operating mode. You still need to turn the key. About the wireless it all depends if you want to add a wireless AP (or usb WiFi dongle) to the controller. In the video the controller is wired to the network.

it doesn't work for me. There is a error message: Error reading Protocol Version
Possible Causes:
-You've forgotten to select a DSMPlugin and the server uses a DSMPlugin
- Viewer and Server are not compatible (they use different RFB protocols)
Can you help me with this problem?

If you followed the steps of this video then it's most likely a firewall issue.
Have you restarted the controller? Always coldboot and reload files after changing network configurations and reboot your pc.
Make sure you selected RDPmode in the admin properties (right click the icon in the controller) and also make sure that the port 5900 is open.
You can also try reinstall the software or a previous version.
If none of this works, your router or pc are blocking the connection.

Hi! I have already connect the ultravnc until get the bluescreen and press "b". After that, I enter the password, but the ultavnc suddenly freeze and on smartpad there is error say "RDP connection failed, RDP link connection was interrupted. Reason: 3". Then the ultravnc window suddenly closed. Do you know how to solve it? thank you

Dont know how to solve this issue... have you tried the option a? The smartpad shouldn't disconnect unless you are running the same session by remote desktop and not vnc

I don´t know if i did something wrong but, in kss8.6.8 is not working.

What is not working? Do you have any error codes?
Start pinging the robot
Check the port is open
Check that the vnc server is open
Check that vnc server starts up when you boot up
Check the program on your laptop has been configured and works if not use another vnc client

I don't understand your question, a ¿Qué te refieres? ¿Cuál es el problema?
El puerto se guarda entiendo y luego tu pregunta es ¿Cuál puede ser la razón?

@@rebots Hola, gracias por contestar. El puerto no se guarda. Sigo el mismo proceso, y al arrancar de nuevo la controladora el puerto que he añadido no aparece. He probado a utilizar alguno de los puertos que trae abierto, y configurar el UltraVNC contra ese puerto pero igualmente me da algunos problemas.

Eso es raro, estas utilizando el grupo de usuario administrador? Prueba con diferentes usuarios, alguno tiene que tener los permisos suficientes. Sino es algún problema del sistema de kuka pero te debería dejar abrir otros puertos.
