Dude!! Thanks for choosing my recommendation! Love these guys and as always love your breakdown. Also thanks for the bio shout out lol. Anyone in Milwaukee that wants to jam please reach out!
@@Guitargate You should take a look at "A Little Change of Pace" by The Brook and the Bluff as well, it's another one of their incredible songs. I'd be very interested in your analysis on it!
I have listened to this band for over a year and have seen them in concert twice. Absolutely love them and couldn't believe it when I saw the videos title.
This is one of the most talented bands I’ve ever heard. All of their songs have amazing rhythm, timing, and melodies. All the things happening in the back of their music is just insane to me and I wish I found them sooner so I could’ve seen them in concert, but I guess I’m waiting until next year. On a separate note…Michael, I love the way you listen to music and the thought process as you decipher all the nooks and cranny’s…and you’re STILL able to find that detail about not finishing the sentence after “she”. You got a follower/subscriber for life now. Also your guitar in this video is probably the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen.
You should play Halfway up by them! Amazing song glad to see them getting more and more recognition. Family friend in the band and played in seattle a while back such a great show and people.
My friend was visiting me here in Boulder a couple of weeks ago. We decided to to go to the Fox on a lark and these guys were playing. Man. we were blown away. They are so good!
Michael, I searched reactions hoping you would have one to the Brook and the bluff and not expecting it. I appreciate you listen to your audience. Well done.
These guys are amazing - clicked this video because I knew that, and was definitely interested to hear your discovery of/thoughts on them. They definitely stood WAY out the first time I heard them.
I'm far enough along to know that I can just barely understand what your explaining, but your enthusiasm makes up for my inadequacies 🤣 very inspiring.
Michael - your honest and real reactions bring ME so much joy. I live for music but have no talent, so I enjoy watcing you do your thing and teaching us all! Makes me so happy! Thank you!!!!
First Polyphia, now the Brook and the Bluff? Two of my favorite bands of all time. These guys are awesome and from my hometown. You should do a Spiritbox song next. Holy Roller!
This video got really deep. Really made me think about life and love and relationships with all kinds of people, but reminded me of the one who believed in me and gave me a drive to be better. Very thankful for those people who have motivated me in my life.
SO GLAD YOU FOUND THESE BEAUTIES!! They're one of my favourites but also the kind of band you ask if people know and get radio silence... Highly underappreciated
This is so cool to see you break it down like this! They’re from my home state and I’ve got to see them live a few times now! It’s great to see them get their rightful exposure
I won a contest to see these guys for free in Nashville back in December. Was blown away. Jumped to see them in Atlanta a few months back as well. These guys are primo musicians 🤌🏽
Michael, I love your musical knowledge and insight, BUT I continue to watch, like and subscribe for your LIFE knowledge and insight. You speak from the heart and speak directly to so many of us, anonymous friends. Keep it up and keep crushing it. Cheers!
Intro made me subscribe immediately. Came cause I love the band but you obviously care about the sport of playing. Intermediate player myself, I’m def going to use this video. Thanks man!
I literally checked out and ordered a PRS Piezo II after watching you play it a few videos back, and now you're checking out one of my favorite bands the day it's getting delivered. Heck of a deal!
I mean, there’s not too many people that can make you actually feel music. I appreciate how you teach not only how to play the music with 9 is the 5th of your 5 , but showing how to feel the music!
@♜þinned by Jelly Roll Just stop, my guy!!! You’re only trying to steal money from innocent people. You changed your profile already cause I caught on to you thinking you were Michael. Get out of here
Very cool. Love all the little pieces that make up the whole. playing a "really good" guts for glory show at the local bar scene would be just as epic as headlining merriweather post pavillion personally.
I love this band! Glad you checked them out. I hope you check out my favorite song by them that has one the grooviest chord progressions on guitar to me - Straws. The live version is my favorite. Please, check it out.
Initially I was thinking “dang it Michael P. it’s da weekend can’t leave me down dude, the he picked it&me up. Very cool, luv’d it ALL, gotta replay a few x’s. I almost paused it cause May had been a tuff month for the ptsd monster. I’m so lonesome but self inflicted~fk’n twisted people I let in my head~I just want 2 help people live!! Sorry, grrrr. I’ve said it b4 this channel is part of my therapy. That’s why I’m a paying member. So glad I hung on 4 a minute. As always You & “the gang” came thru for me. Thank U/Jake/y’all soooo much. In the daze vernacular I appreciate y’all”California Love kids……peace plz….PLZ….”Doc” “Music Heals” PS weird question, does anyone take Guitargate, just 4 da knowledge??? Not sure I could physically play due 2 a spinal injury, not paralyzed can still walk & move to the beat, although crooked n painful. BUT music will always be a huge part of my life AND can use any “mentle distraction”. I grew up in a musical family, gospel, until I met the Beatles, lol.
Singer obviously took an Aaron Neville pill before the song began! Brilliant performances all around! Including yours, Michael! Kind of gospel-y/Billy Preston/Simply Red changes. I almost can’t bear how good this is.

I have listened to this band for over a year and have seen them in concert twice. Absolutely love them and couldn't believe it when I saw the videos title.

Time to go and find everything that The Brook and The Bluff have ever done.

One of my favorite bands atm. “Petals On The Floor” and “Off The Lawn” are my favorites by them
Dude YES! Love these guys. Saw them live in Tuscaloosa and they're insane. Alec, the guitarist, is a super nice dude.
Discovered them a few months ago and fell in love. One to look out for for sure. Great breakdown as always, Michael.

This band deserves to be huge.
It is so much fun to watch you get so excited by music and message. That was AWESOME. I am picking it up EVERY DAY thanks to you. 💕🙋🎶
They were the last band I saw before quarantine at the Hotel Cafe. I was blown away. They're such a fun and tight band.

Brook and The Bluff live shows will shock you. They are so awesome and fun live
Discovered this band at Shaky Knees last year and have loved them ever since

Awesome band indeed
This band makes hit after hit! Check more of their music out!
Very cool. Love all the little pieces that make up the whole.

Beside the guitar instructions, you’re such a nice person to watch. Thanks for being out here
YES love this band so much
That’s great… curious if you ever post the link to original video?
The lead singer’s falsetto sounds like Aaron Neville! His normal voice reminds me of The Mavericks’ Raúl Malo! Great musicianship, too!
They got some fire psychedelic stuff, crook and the bluff
That’s funny there’s a crook and brook. Checked out crook and the bluff and they rock!
@@drewtamales5999 yeah they a local band in Salt Lake City they are so good
love all the video Michael! Keep it up
I love their stuff, you should check out Masayoshi Takanaka "Bu Belezura Pura" next!

Oh my God thank you
wowwwwww so good
Ooooooohhh!!!
What song / video is this? Why am I not seeing it in the description?
Here you go Nik: th-cam.com/video/RdLSPpNzTYo/w-d-xo.html
The song is called “ Are You Lonesome?”
Why PRS? Can you do an episode on that…. Would be interesting to hear
They believed in me when I was nobody. Best people in music. They get education and support it as much as they do their artists.
Yo Mike what type of strata is he using in your opinion? Thanks in advance
Country Jamiroquai
He sounds like Tracy Chapman
also why's Glen from the movie "Accepted" in this band, and where are his Glen Wads?
Review of 'car crash' by idles. What do you think about those guitars?
@♜þinned by Michael Palmisano watch "from the basement" version of car crash.
Heyo is anyone (M.P. included) able to breakdown that slick chord move at 7:11? Sounds incredible!
The vocal reminds me of Aaron Neville!
