  • We drove the Mahindra XUV400 EV at Mahindra's SUV Proving Track in Chennai. The vehicle looks nice, has a slightly dated interior, but drives very well and has enough oomph. Prices will be out in January 2023 and deliveries shall start soon after.

    Hello #MotorBeamers! What are your thoughts on the XUV400? Are Mahindra too late with this car or do you think they’re going ruffle some feathers in this segment?

    Launch it soon.. but deliver in ages .. Mahindra taking a huge dent on its own reputation. Sadly..one of my favourite and most reliable car makers are moving out of the competition for one of the silliest glitch.

      Delivery issue is due to huge bookings…that is its selling in very high number..hence its is getting delivered just like other cars but only issue is it has to be delivered in huge amounts.
      Hence Mahindra isn’t taking any dent..nor moving out of competition.

      Nexon are also selling huge but still it's getting delivered in 6 months.... Mahindra should think about demand and supply....

      @@ashkechum8409 having high demand is what expected from a good product carrying on a legacy. Supply / production should then accordingly be prepared for meeting the demand.
      Becoming a brand isn't easy, and maintaining it is even tough.

      @@samrat_thebestpal A company just can’t blindly invest heavily in increasing production..Mahindra is trying to increase but they can’t drastically increase as it will require high amount of money..which can further contribute in low investment in R&D…we have to see that the demand isn’t normal it’s in very high numbers..20-30 times greater than cars in same category.

    Rear AC vent missing. Big drawback of this car. Today even Santro has rear AC.

    Only Mahindra should improve in it's delivery dates and waiting periods... Otherwise, one of the most reliable and has diverse portfolio of vehicles... Quality has also very improved over the years...

    I think mahindra want to launch at competitive price to Nexon max at 18-19 lacs so max no changes in xuv300 for cost restrictions.
    Let see in future how much it will price .
    If it was prices more than 20 lacs with these features is a failure.
    Anand Mahindra is very active on social media then why he can't understand things going at dealership regarding delivery of xuv700 and Scorpio cars

    Nexon max with 40.5 kwh battery gives 350-380 km range without AC and decent speed. Now mahindra claimed larger size and 39.3 kwh battery.
    I think it also give 300-350 km. Unfortunately the cars they provide for review does not reflect the battery consumption. That creates more doubts on my mind.
    Tata' EV is already tested. So it is better to go Nexon or Tigor EV.

    It would be more efficient than nexon because similar battery pack but more range.

      Nexon EV Max uses LFP but xuv 400 uses NMC. LFP is better for tropical countries like India.

    Aisa itna toh muje EV ka samajta nahi lekin itna toh sure hoon ki Multi Mode Regen feature toh necessary hai electric gaadi mai.

    You guys should’ve have worked far more than launching it now. My
    expectations about this car was way more higher but after seeing the features of

    No Multi-mode regen and Electronic parking brake. That shows where safety
    lies with your company. This was the bare minimum.
