There is no real or fake football shirt. I know factories in China that make "REAL" shirts for Adidas and Puma and sell the EXACT same shirt but leftovers so called "FAKE" shirts.
I understand why people buy fake football shirts If it was me, I'd wait until Black Friday, or the End of Season sale, to get the real football shirts. I think it’s important to keep in mind what your goal is when deciding to buy fakes. If you are looking to buy a shirt to wear just for the euros or a shirt for your kids, I completely understand why people would go for the cheaper option. However, if you are a collector looking to build a serious shirt collection, you need to buy the real thing in order to be taken seriously, no one will respect a collection of fakes.
As long as you don't buy fake shirts for your own club (within reason, if your clubs shirt is £125 or £85 or whatever then buy fake) then in very cool with fakes, they're just as good as the real thing
It's so sad to me that people who wanna represent their countires/club in the footballing world thru merchandise are having to resort to buying fake jerseys because manufacturers like nike, adidas ect. are charging such insane prices for a piece of polyester and if your a teenager or a young adult such as myself it's such a turn off when I see that to buy directly from the club store would cost me 1/3 of my paycheck.
Do a deep dive into Addidas, Nike et al...They are primarily made in Asia (also with cheap labour) The cost to make the "real" shirt is about 6€ ...then gullible fans pay over 80€+ or %1400 more.
Myself when I target a football shirt I go all out for a real one, but I only tend to get like 1 or 2 a year😆 Good Video though! Very interesting and controversial topic!
The only way to reduce on the popularity of fakes is by lowering the price of the genuine shirts. Firstly it doesn't cost manufacturers that much to make a shirt only for them to price it at 4 or maybe 5 times the price of production. And secondly i believe if they were made more affordable clubs would see higher sales as people would rather buy directly from the club if the price was right a win win solution for everyone.
That’s definitely true. I think they charge so much as they don’t see much of that profit - it’s splits between the manufacturer, club and retailer, who then all have to pay staff, bills etc. Although that’s of course no excuse for the ridiculous prices.
I'm convinced that nowadays that all the big UK retailers (Sport Direct etc.) are selling counterfeit. Why do I believe this? In the last 5+ years I have bought a number of jerseys for people, including myself, and noticed the fit is always off, especially around the shoulders, as if there is too much material or too little i.e. it hasn't been measured and put together properly. It's rampant and they can get away with it because the entire industry is unpoliced, there are no quality checks. Same with the online perfume industry, exact same situation. I've tried at least 10 different 'official' perfume sites and purchased my usual brand and it's like water. Smell lasts for 10 mins then it's gone whereas with an original the scent would last all day - across all 10 or so sites I was getting around 20% off so you would think this is still legit but no and it's becoming impossible to aesthetically detect because they're so good at replicating now. But the jersey situation is a travesty because they are selling at full price. Just on Monday I paid for a Borussia Dortmund top for my son (£90) and the fit is a joke, from Sport Direct btw but it's the same from the others I've tried. I can't see anything changing. I'm just not going to buy any tops now.
@@EvilestGem that’s an interesting theory, I can’t really see them selling fakes, I just think the overall quality of these real shirts is at a low, they make them for as little as possible and sell for as high as possible.
@@TFSS Why can't you see them selling fakes? Think about it. It is nearly impossible to tell the difference now. Unless you buy direct from the Club's own website for double the price. If you compare the fit they are completely different so how can that be? How can one, which is supposed to be premium 'replica' be off in terms of shape and fit and yet the Club's own non-replica's fit as they should? It doesn't make sense. You should do a comparison, of the official 'replica' jerseys sold by retail stores (like Sport Direct), with the official kit bought direct from the club. The difference is shocking. Other than the stitching and fit how could you tell? The tags and everything else looks exactly as it should but the shirts themselves are poor.
