    As a shirt collector I could tell straight by the stitching quality between the two always a sign! Fakes are getting incredibly good and for example, a family of four who all want a kit this is the way forward and no one would notice other than a product code being different or some stitching. No one has a problem with people wearing copies, what I do have a problem with is selling copies for silly prices!

    As a gal who have more fake kits than authentic ones. I can say that fake ones can mimic the original but once you wear them that's when you notice the difference. Authentic kits are just too expensive for me and rare in a country where football is not the biggest sport in fact no one cares nor watches it.

    They are all made from Asia. The so called fakes are direct from factories. Whereas 'real' is sold via intermediary. Brands have alot of costs to pay, i.e. custom, shipping, tax, marketing etc

      The fakes are made in China though
      Except for marcon there is always a difference.... QC is so much better on legit but counterfeit gets very close

    Yeah. Shirt A is definitely fake, though a commendable effort to make it so close to the original. I find that it's always the small things like the sewing and logo alignment that give the fake away but aside from that, a good quality fake will look astonishingly like the real thing.
    For me, at least, the sewing with the semicircle little bit at the back of the collar gave it away. It looks quite wonky.

    • @nutmegcityfc
      @nutmegcityfc  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah 100% agree!! Most of my fakes have issues with proper alignment with the badges and sponsors. I have a fake Arsenal 2001 shirt and the Dreamcast sponsor is crooked lol

    My beef was that I ordered the new Real Madrid kit from the adidas shop for 100 and the stitches were terrible I thought I order a fake . Then my buddy got the same kit for 40 on the marketplace and that thing obviously a fake was better than the original I ordered off the site .

  • @crazydudetz
    @crazydudetz 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    The adidas logo on the fake has a weird crease. That's what first gave it away. Then the assymetry on the nape is a dead give away.

    Here in NZ if I were to buy a fake at 25-30 pounds buy the time I convert it to $NZ it coasts me twice plus by the time I pay shipping it would be close to 100 bucks so for afew extra dollars I'm better off getting clearance originals from sports shops here like last season tops or getting sale shirts from classic football shirts

    Also, could it not be the case that the “fakes” are ones that didn’t pass the quality control? You see it with other clothes where a slightly incorrect stitch and it’s sold cheaper?

      Nah. Unless if its marcon where those kits are actually MADE in China? Counterfeits are made I'm China every single time. Whereas the real is made where its said it's made from ( Vietnam or Bangladesh usually)

    For Argentina kit the design particularly on the back is poor already regardless. Why just can't have simple stripes all the way down is beyond comprehensive. Simple designs as of 1978-86 is very beautiful and looked great. I don't mind buying an expensive one if it's worth buying. And that championship badge what's wrong with those previous ones? The newest one is simply a cheap plastic patch just like those PL patches from 2019 or 2020 onwards.

    The fact you have to go into such detail to spot the difference is testament to how good the fakes are getting. I’d love to know how they get it so close, growing up in the 90’s fake shirts on holiday were soooo fake, wouldn’t be the same badge, names spelt incorrectly.

  • @dibaskg
    @dibaskg 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

    Hahaha… “Adidas, do better” :-):-) True.
    Is it just my impression, or does the fake have two different tones of blue? I feel the blue on the stripes is different to the blue on the lower sleeve parts, that go right/left and down to the armpits. Maybe it’s just the light?
    Another small difference was in the neckline, the blue/white/blue thing that looks like an Argentinian flag, the white on the fake looks like… knitted. Again, I may be wrong.
    I now have more than 900 authentic jerseys, but I also have less than 10 fake ones, all bought for the same reason; on a trip, wishing to buy a local jersey, but refusing to pay crazy money. More recently, Morocco, earlier this year. There was no way I would pay 80 euros to Puma for an authentic jersey (110 for the player version), so once I found a fake one for 11-12 euros, iiincredible quality (for a fake), I didn’t think twice. I stayed two months, I waited until the last week, after the Africa Cup of Nations, for Puma to slash their price, they didn’t, so...

    • @nutmegcityfc

      Oh I didn’t even notice the two tones of blue but I see in the video! I’ll have took at them again in person and see! Now I’m curious 😂
