  • Extreme Sim Racing is a designer and manufacturer of sim racing products. They make a variety of full sized sim chassis, wheel stand and other sim racing accessories. One of their products, The SXT V2, is a wheel stand that is extremely solid and with its available attachments is more that just a wheel stand but it has been transformed into a minirig.
    In this review Shaun Cole of The Simpit takes you through all of the parts, all of the accessories and then moves onto the assembling of the SXT V2 wheelstand. After it is fully built he covers the adjustments and installs his gear. From there its onto driving and the full review of this fine wheel stand.

    I'm definitely getting one, great review!! Cheers from Brazil!
    Edit: I got it without the accessories and it really is very solid!! Definitely recommend it!!

    Because of a review you did. A SXT V2 Wheel Stand I ordered arrived today. I unpacked it, put it together, attached my equipment and went for a drive on projects Cars 2. I have to say, the SXT V2 Wheel Stand has so far excceded my expectations. - Thank you!

    I really like that really long pedal plate. My DD wheel stand has a gap between the plate and brace that is too small for my feet to rest comfortably. Nice job Shaun.

    This may work out perfect. I have a SimXperience Stage I. I used to have a wheel/monitor stand that I made, it worked but it wasn’t the best. The only thing keeping me from getting it back up and running is the lack of a nice wheel stand. This might fit the bill perfectly!

    It works well enough with Fanatec but some sacrifices must be made with adjustability. The heel plate for the CSL Elite pedal set is a little too wide and bumps up against tray supports so moving the pedals all the way back is not possible. Because of this, I would have liked more fore-aft adjustment for the wheel base. My arms feel a bit stretched holding the wheel. These are a inconveniences though. It's still a very sturdy piece of kit.

    Awesome video, Shaun!
    One issue I’d see with this rig is the monitor bracket being attached to the rig. It tends to make the monitor jiggle. I’d prefer to have a free standing monitor stand. But otherwise this looks like a pretty cool setup.

      @rafaelplacce 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey, Mike. I tested one of these with a csl elite base. The monitor did not jiggled at all. Maybe with a DD it will.

    Just getting into getting a "portable" rig and ran in to your video, plus subscribed! Great job on the review. DO you by any chance know the main differences between this model (SXT V2) and the other model, the SGT? Again, thank you!

    Extreme Sim Racing has been releasing some pretty awesome stuff lately. I wonder if the monitor stand and seat will also work on the GT Omega Apex wheelstand??

    • @mikecartwrightbeach
      @mikecartwrightbeach 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I wondered the same thing since they look almost identical as far as the wheel stand portion's DESIGN configuration and modular elements are considered at least. But I have to say the square tubing (for ME anyway) is preferred in case you ever need to drill anything. EASY to drill through square but round? THAT is a challenge. I also prefer the 1/2 PRICE for GT Omega gear as well when compared to this. But man oh man do I LOVE the assembly video for this when sold as the COMPLETE KIT for entire cockpit. Being badly disabled it is something I feel I can actually handle myself even crippled....
      I am torn between this and GT Omega but this got TERRIBLE reviews (again-for the ENTIRE Cockpit) at Amazon where GT Omega did fine so just need more info before I buy. But I need something NOW since I have a new wheel kit and NO place to play!

    Do you think this rig would work with a DD wheel stand? assuming I would only have the stand without the seat.

      I just got a SimLab GT1 EVO in black with the Fanatec Podium DD wheel mount, buttkicker mount, universal shifter mount and a bunch of cable tie clip thingy’s shipped to the west coast of the US for $660. Slap on a Sparco R300 seat for around $200. Not at bad deal. I don’t see any reason to get a prefab chassis of any brand with something like a SimLab aluminum profile chassis being so inexpensive.

      @@OhItsThat GT1 EVO is pretty much the no-brainer for anyone atm. Own it as well.

    • @chuckystang

      I just looked and don’t see anything close to that price. I am not talking about a bare rig, it needs to have pedal, shifter, wheel base mount seat brackets sliders etc to be fair. I also don’t know if any decent sparco seats for less than $800 but Corbeau has some decent ones for $300-400. Anyway I’d love for some one to post a link showing an 80-20 rig with everything for less than a grand. I just went with a tr8 which comes with everything even monitor mount and a proper seat for $865 shipped to 50 USA states.
