Yea, it really sucks. Before I started streaming this game, I would manually control each ship. But that makes the battles very time consuming. So I'm trying to find a better way of controlling larger fleets. This is one big reason why I lime smaller engagements, or use fast ships to hit and run. I've been playing with follow formations but it never quite puts the ships where I want it. There was a nice formation movement in Fallout Tactics. If they could solve this problem 20+ years ago, why can't games use this now?
@@bobtheorc I try to keep the engagements small as well. Too much to micromanage and the AI instead of helping actively tries to get your ships sunk. Lol Yes, this game has so much promise it's a shame a few simple fixes and additions are holding it back.
Drives me crazy when they break formation and turn into the enemy instead of away. I feel your pain. 🤬
