I've been using BI with profiles for years and I just realized I messed up my sunset/sunrise settings because I have always been confused by the UI. Thanks to your video I fixed that and even found out that I could create multiple schedules. I ended up creating a Home schedule and Away schedule. Time-wise they're identical but they trigger different profiles with geofencing. I think I've finally setup BI the way I always wanted to.
Thank you so much for this! i have been using BI for years now for my office but dont use profiles or schedule and just set it up for a client and he only wants alerts on schedules hours. this showed me the way! thank you!
How do you know which profile is recording or not recording, or Triggering cameras? I don't want any alerts during the day I know there are people there but want them at night. still confused but this was good start for sure.
Good Video thanks for making it. How do I get the cameras to only record on movement or event? And is there a way to have it record 10 seconds before an event like some other software that keeps caches video so if event it can use the 10 seconds before the event started?
What are the orange semicircles and the blue full circle (for instance at 3:00) in the schedule dialog? EDIT: I now understand that the orange semicircles denote sunrise and sunset but what is the meaning of the blue circle?
I've using BI5. I've spent quite a bit of time trying to get "schedule" to work; the s/w is glitched. I cannot repeat functions, it's impossible to tell what the program is doing. Looking at this further, a better explanation would have mentioning that a "base" profile needs to have all days and times filled. The next profile schedule "filters" or "sets" times outside of the base schedule.

Does BI need to be restarted each day for the sunrise/sunset time to update automatically?
