thats a fun lake to fish, it used to be covered up with some big perch, definitely dont have to worry about any traffic, is grassy creek still the way to get in ?
wesley webber I know plenty of people eat them but there was a time when the lakes were supposedly contaminated from run off out of the copper mines. I wasn’t sure if it was safe or not to eat them at this point. On the other hand I’m sure there are contamination in all the foods we eat and these fish are probably healthier than fast food and other processed food. Thanks for the view and for commenting on the video. I love it up there at that lake
There are dangerous levels of Mercury in the water and mud left from the copper mines. Mercury never goes away and the fish eat it and it stays in their fatty tissue and muscles. A few fish out of the ocoee is safe every now and again maybe, but definitely not all the time. The toccoa on the other hand, above the copper mines, has plenty of trout that are safe to eat.
I just bought land five minutes from that lake. Can’t wait to be going there every chance I get to relax on the pontoon boat
Cool. I’m not so sure you will be putting a pontoon boat in Ocoee Lake 3. Maybe you mean Lake Ocoee or Parksville lake?
ha, i used to use my rod forever like that as a kid... lol. found out later...
Thats pretty funny. Did you ride a 10 speed bike with the handle bars upside down. lol
so epic there. beautiful...
It is truly beautiful
@@MattFreytag agreed...
how them perch taste?
Actually I have never tried them. I have never tried any fish I've caught. I wasn't to do a catch, clean and cook video soon. Thanks for watching.
How powerful is the dam how close do you get?
I really don't know. I have not gotten very close to it in this small boat. I may be a little crazy but not scary. lol
Where’s the boat ramp? I’m trying to go tomorrow but can’t find the ramp on the map
It’s not really a boat ramp just the end of a gravel road!
Hush puppy shoes? They still make those?
They are actually Clarks Wallabees. old school aswell
Ocoee lake is in Georgia...is it correct

Darius Totok Thanks. I love this spot.
Cull a small one or two and use the perch eyes on a hook. They love it.
ChattaYakFish Nice to know!
I hang out up there a lot in the winter. Let’s link up!
ChattaYakFish Cool sounds like a plan.

Cool thanks for the info. I don’t eat the fish anyways but would probably try them once.
