So pain remains is the opposite perspective of As I Return to Nothingness about someone Dying, The Afterlife, the Reincarnation and here will be Sadness, Anger, then Acceptance or goes down another road since its called "in a sea of fire".
Never thought I’d genuinely feel emotional listening to Lorna Shore of all the bands I follow, if a deathcore band can invoke those types of feelings towards the listener, they’re extremely talented.

Plenty of drummers who can out skill Austin and are more consistent live even when put in a compromising situation like having sticky bass heads when playing out in the sun. But he is def my 2nd favorite rn. 1st is Chris Turner from Oceans Ate Alaska. Guy has powerful grooves that doesn't rely on triggers. But even though Austin uses them for clarity and volume, I can't help but love how he's utilizing the heel-toe and other speed techniques in everything he does. Explains his chill looking face when he plays.

I only recently found out about Lorna Shore, but they quickly have become my favorite band. I can't wait until this album comes out October 14. I normally don't cry to songs, but this one has made me cry every time I've heard it this morning. (I first saw the video by itself on Century Media's TH-cam, then Nik Nocturnal and now Alex's channel.)

It just hits THAT much harder reading the lyrics and thinking about my dad Lorna Shore will always be the absolute best band in the game. Not only are their songs sonically amazing but lyrically impacting.

The fact the song ends like that is so perfect. It ties with the theme of loss. All the noise and emotion just turns to a silent black screen when someone dies. Both for the person who dies and the one who has to hold them while they do. That ending is a perfect representation of that. As another youtuber said, we can always replay the song, but if you compare the song to a loved one, and imagine that you could only hear this song once and then it was gone forever, that ending would be a gut punch you would always remember.
The song might only sound like it's ending abruptly because it's likely going directly into Part 2. Then again, it's a nice artistic representation of the suddenness of death. As heavy and brutal as this band often is, there were several moments in this song that were just plain beautiful. I'm amazed at how they can combine all the elements so well. "Beauty" shouldn't work in a really heavy genre like this, but it does, and it works so very well. It's also great to hear how they occasionally change up their iconic sound, and Will continues to amaze with bringing vocal sounds that I've never heard before. He's truly one of the most versatile vocalists out there, period. Will also has a great voice for clean vocals, and I can't help but wonder if we might hear just even a little bit of singing from him in a future Lorna Shore track.
I personally find the song to be an emotionally triggering rendition of one of my greatest fears with losing the love of my life. It's heartbreaking. Will's vocal range is amazing. He hits all the feels in the right places & you can just hear his voice crack when he gets emotional. Then the instruments are amazing alongside of him. Perfect.
My mother bravely fought against cancer for a long time but lost the battle. This music video reminds me of good and the bad times. I miss my mother so much.
A friend of mine's sister died at 31 of cancer not too long ago. This song reminds me so much of the pain she tried to articulate in our conversations.
I have to disagree with the "turn it into a pop song and it was chart" because this needs the brutality of Will's screams to convey the pain. But I'm honestly interested in hearing a "pretty" version of this song. Just a guitar and a girl/dude or a bigger production. But I doubt it would get the same reaction out of me as Lorna's version. It's the fact that you can hear the pain in Will's voice as he screams the lyrics that get me. A less aggressive version would definitely not make me teary eyed on every single listen, like the original does. Even now, 11 days after release, daily listens. I still get emotional in that final section.

Out of all things the story had to show a couple that is going through the suffering of being in the situation where one is sick in the hospital and possibly (most likely) will not make it. And I am listening to the song right now and watching reactions to it while i wait for news from the hospital where my mom is going through surgery and she is at risk of not making it. Yet i can not look away and i can not watch something else cause is damn Lorna Shore and this band means the world to me. The waiting is eating away at me and I can not be there cause of damn Covid so all i can do is wait and keep watching this.

Lorna Shore has overtaken the metal scene, and for good reason. The addition of Will on top of the beautifully haunting and emotional music has taken this band to the next level. Absolute fucking S Tier music. Any song that can bring me to tears is beautifully written. One of the best songs I’ve ever heard.
I personally find the song to be an emotionally triggering rendition of one of my greatest fears with losing the love of my life. It's heartbreaking. Will's vocal range is amazing. He hits all the feels in the right places & you can just hear his voice crack when he gets emotional. Then the instruments are amazing alongside of him. Perfect.
I have never been able to really get into deathcore, but this song might be my way in.

My mother bravely fought against cancer for a long time but lost the battle. This music video reminds me of good and the bad times. I miss my mother so much.

A friend of mine's sister died at 31 of cancer not too long ago. This song reminds me so much of the pain she tried to articulate in our conversations.
Idk why but the chorus makes me shiver, it just hits me right in the soul
I have to disagree with the "turn it into a pop song and it was chart" because this needs the brutality of Will's screams to convey the pain. But I'm honestly interested in hearing a "pretty" version of this song. Just a guitar and a girl/dude or a bigger production.
But I doubt it would get the same reaction out of me as Lorna's version. It's the fact that you can hear the pain in Will's voice as he screams the lyrics that get me. A less aggressive version would definitely not make me teary eyed on every single listen, like the original does. Even now, 11 days after release, daily listens. I still get emotional in that final section.

This song hits like a damn tornado. Out of all things the story had to show a couple that is going through the suffering of being in the situation where one is sick in the hospital and possibly (most likely) will not make it. And I am listening to the song right now and watching reactions to it while i wait for news from the hospital where my mom is going through surgery and she is at risk of not making it. Yet i can not look away and i can not watch something else cause is damn Lorna Shore and this band means the world to me. The waiting is eating away at me and I can not be there cause of damn Covid so all i can do is wait and keep watching this.

This song is so heavy and not in the typical brutal rah rah rah heavy, but so emotionally heavy and that’s my favorite type of heavy. I love this song.

Lorna Shore has overtaken the metal scene, and for good reason. The addition of Will on top of the beautifully haunting and emotional music has taken this band to the next level. This song is incredible, heard it 50 times, and it gives me chills still. They deserve the recognition they're getting. Also, it stops abruptly because there is a Pain Remains II and III. 🤘🖤

This song reminds me of my grandfather. Grandma passed away in his arms in January of this year not long after their 67th wedding anniversary. In candid conversation he’s said many things that damn near echo this song
True the lyrics are really awesome but i disagree with your opinion that it would be a no.1 hit as pop song because Will makes these lyrics so intense that these feelings are coming over and the music matches it perfectly. It would be a Top 10 hit. Sadly that so many people close thier eyes for this kind of music and are willing to watch at the lyrics and understand what the song is about, so they would understand the song better.

The way this song ends is exactly how life ends. It can just happen out of nowhere and we just have to accept it. That's it. You can believe what you want to believe, but once it happens, it is beyond you or others. Something happened and now that person is gone. The best you can do is keep their memory alive, and through that, their influence lives on.
