I didn't think it was possible for them to get any better and then they drop this f'n masterpiece. I'm not gonna lie but I cried. Plenty of drummers who can out skill Austin and are more consistent live even when put in a compromising situation like having sticky bass heads when playing out in the sun. But he is def my 2nd favorite rn. 1st is Chris Turner from Oceans Ate Alaska. Guy has powerful grooves that doesn't rely on triggers. But even though Austin uses them for clarity and volume, I can't help but love how he's utilizing the heel-toe and other speed techniques in everything he does. Explains his chill looking face when he plays.
I only recently found out about Lorna Shore, but they quickly have become my favorite band. I can't wait until this album comes out October 14. I normally don't cry to songs, but this one has made me cry every time I've heard it this morning. (I first saw the video by itself on Century Media's TH-cam, then Nik Nocturnal and now Alex's channel.)
The fact the song ends like that is so perfect. It ties with the theme of loss. All the noise and emotion just turns to a silent black screen when someone dies. Both for the person who dies and the one who has to hold them while they do. That ending is a perfect representation of that. As another youtuber said, we can always replay the song, but if you compare the song to a loved one, and imagine that you could only hear this song once and then it was gone forever, that ending would be a gut punch you would always remember.
My dad is currently in the final stages of his life after battling cancer for over a year. This song had me emotionally spent at the end. Legit I cried at the end of the song. It just hits THAT much harder reading the lyrics and thinking about my dad Lorna Shore will always be the absolute best band in the game. Not only are their songs sonically amazing but lyrically impacting.
The abrupt ending is pretty brilliant. The subject and lyrics indicate a certain event, one that can often end things quite... ... and it hits you in the feels the harder when you get it.
A friend of mine's sister died at 31 of cancer not too long ago. This song reminds me so much of the pain she tried to articulate in our conversations.
I was not ready for this song when I listened for the first time. Felt like a sledgehammer blow directly to the feels. I still can't watch with dry eyes and I have seen the video probably 20 times now.
Reading the lyrics actually made me cry. Such a beautiful song. God they go so deep. I was walking my dog when the song premiered, so I didn't actually watch watch the video... but holy shit holy fuck this is a heavy hitter
Read those lyrics and put yourself in that situation. Will you sing them softly or scream them to the heavens? Raw emotions are not subtle, they're violent, gut wrenching, brutal. This song perfectly displays that.
My mother bravely fought against cancer for a long time but lost the battle. This music video reminds me of good and the bad times. I miss my mother so much.

gotta say this song makes me cry each time I listen to it, music is seriously helping me get thru my dads battle with dementia. seriously can't wait for the full album.
I was waiting for those clean vocals Will showed off in his one take cover of "Hypnosis". Maybe we'll get lucky and head it in parts 2 and/or 3. Fucking beautifully brutal.
I absolutely love this song. The meaning is the first thing I noticed and I thought they were just beautiful! Very excited for part 2 so we can listen to the next part of the track! 👌
I personally find the song to be an emotionally triggering rendition of one of my greatest fears with losing the love of my life. It's heartbreaking. Will's vocal range is amazing. He hits all the feels in the right places & you can just hear his voice crack when he gets emotional. Then the instruments are amazing alongside of him. Perfect.
This song is so heavy and not in the typical brutal rah rah rah heavy, but so emotionally heavy and that’s my favorite type of heavy. I love this song.
The song might only sound like it's ending abruptly because it's likely going directly into Part 2. Then again, it's a nice artistic representation of the suddenness of death. As heavy and brutal as this band often is, there were several moments in this song that were just plain beautiful. I'm amazed at how they can combine all the elements so well. "Beauty" shouldn't work in a really heavy genre like this, but it does, and it works so very well. It's also great to hear how they occasionally change up their iconic sound, and Will continues to amaze with bringing vocal sounds that I've never heard before. He's truly one of the most versatile vocalists out there, period. Will also has a great voice for clean vocals, and I can't help but wonder if we might hear just even a little bit of singing from him in a future Lorna Shore track.
This song reminds me of my grandfather. Grandma passed away in his arms in January of this year not long after their 67th wedding anniversary. In candid conversation he’s said many things that damn near echo this song
I felt this song in my soul cause it reminded me of my parents when my dad was diagnosed with stage 4 stomach cancer and watching my mom struggle so much with it I started crying watching the video
Lorna Shore is amazing, the song ends abruptly because that's how death comes and takes your loved ones no matter how much you prepare, and only "pain remains"
That song hit me in the feels man. You feel the emotion from Will and you can see it towards the end of the video. It gave me goosebumps. "Within the expanse, I finally see, a world without you isn't meant for me." That alone almost made me like shed a tear not gonna lie. This was a powerful song and I loved every minute of it
This song hits like a damn tornado. Out of all things the story had to show a couple that is going through the suffering of being in the situation where one is sick in the hospital and possibly (most likely) will not make it. And I am listening to the song right now and watching reactions to it while i wait for news from the hospital where my mom is going through surgery and she is at risk of not making it. Yet i can not look away and i can not watch something else cause is damn Lorna Shore and this band means the world to me. The waiting is eating away at me and I can not be there cause of damn Covid so all i can do is wait and keep watching this.
You mean to tell me I went a whole year without this song... Why am I just now hearing all these good songs within the last year that have been around for so long. But I absolutely love the last minute of this song.
The track list for the album is as follows: 1. Welcome Back, O Sleeping Dreamer 2. Into the Earth 3. Sun//Eater 4. Cursed to Die 5. Soulless Existance 6. Apotheosis 7. Wrath 8. Pain Remains I: Dancing Like Flames 9. Pain Remains II: After All I've Done, I'll Disappear 10: Pain Remains III: In a Sea of Fire Given the names of these tracks, what we've heard so far, and the order of the songs, this album is going to have us go on an incredible journey (potentially ending in a downward, brutal spiral with the last three songs flowing seamlessly into each other). I'm so pumped for this album!!!
It's about pain and pain is messy and difficult, so that works for me. This is also beautiful because it is about overwhelming love, that works too. An outstanding piece of work.
LS just figured out how to make every damn metal head dry their eye at least once with this song lol Beautifully and brutally written. Well done again!
How they just cut it at the end did make me mad but I realized that's life as soon as the time comes when you lose someone near and dear to your heart that it's just over in that moment and your left to deal with the pain that remains never in my life have I been more anxious to hear the part 2 that continues the rest of this beautiful song this is my 8th time listening to this song today and I've teared up everytime.
🔥🔥🔥 Pain Remains is interestingly enough a 3-parter that closes the new album coming out in October... if that's part 1... I don't think our brains or gooches can handle 2 and 3 🤘
I love will ramos so much I've met him alot he's such a sweetheart kind loving caring I love him this song made me left in tears I love it so much im glad will is lorna shore permanently vocalist
I honestly think the reason why it ends so abruptly is because of the outcome. Death comes for all of us, it's not planned, it is truly an abrupt circumstance, and it isn't one we can control or avoid. Death has been something I've tried to reason with for a long time, so is the concept of an after life, and how to come to grips with mourning. I'm an Atheist and have been for about a decade now and it came rather early in my life due to a lot of circumstances (I can say that in these years I've come to an understanding with mortality, we all have our paths to finding that solace.). Honestly, the final bridge section where Will does the spoken part into the final line "A world without you isn’t meant for me" is honestly the most powerful moment in any of their recent music. The way will puts everything he has into it, like you can hear the emotion behind his voice as it builds up to that moment. Man, this was entirely unexpected in a lot of ways, but if you've watched the interviews and videos with Will, I'm not nearly as surprised as some are, this seems like something he'd want to do.
This band is on a different plain of existence. Besides being insanely talented, they are able to pull emotion out of you in ways that other bands can't do
its insane how consistent these guys have been with their music, banger after banger after banger, i think it may have ended so abruptly since it seems the song is going to have two more parts, so it might fade into the next

Absolute fucking S Tier music. Any song that can bring me to tears is beautifully written. One of the best songs I’ve ever heard.
Saw them at summer breeze this year and am getting ready to see them with while she sleeps and parkway drive tonight. They slap! 😍
Lorna Shore is amazing, the song ends abruptly because that's how death comes and takes your loved ones no matter how much you prepare, and only "pain remains"
Traveling the stages of grief now has a proper soundtrack.
That song hit me in the feels man. You feel the emotion from Will and you can see it towards the end of the video. It gave me goosebumps. "Within the expanse, I finally see, a world without you isn't meant for me." That alone almost made me like shed a tear not gonna lie. This was a powerful song and I loved every minute of it
This is perfection in power
Hope you hit a mil soon Alex
The track list for the album is as follows:
1. Welcome Back, O Sleeping Dreamer
2. Into the Earth
3. Sun//Eater
4. Cursed to Die
5. Soulless Existance
6. Apotheosis
7. Wrath
8. Pain Remains I: Dancing Like Flames
9. Pain Remains II: After All I've Done, I'll Disappear
10: Pain Remains III: In a Sea of Fire
Given the names of these tracks, what we've heard so far, and the order of the songs, this album is going to have us go on an incredible journey (potentially ending in a downward, brutal spiral with the last three songs flowing seamlessly into each other).
I'm so pumped for this album!!!
How did you get these names?
Google
@@spice98874 they're also listed on Napalm Records website
It's about pain and pain is messy and difficult, so that works for me. This is also beautiful because it is about overwhelming love, that works too. An outstanding piece of work.
This song straight up made me emotional and I couldn’t even help it, god damn 🙌🏼 I needed this song fr
LS just figured out how to make every damn metal head dry their eye at least once with this song lol Beautifully and brutally written. Well done again!
Chills 🔥🔥🔥
How they just cut it at the end did make me mad but I realized that's life as soon as the time comes when you lose someone near and dear to your heart that it's just over in that moment and your left to deal with the pain that remains never in my life have I been more anxious to hear the part 2 that continues the rest of this beautiful song this is my 8th time listening to this song today and I've teared up everytime.
Let’s goooo happy to see ya drop another Lorna reaction. Hope you’re doing well, Alex
This song hit hard for me, watching a loved one degrading through cancer is so painful to watch.
🔥🔥🔥 Pain Remains is interestingly enough a 3-parter that closes the new album coming out in October... if that's part 1... I don't think our brains or gooches can handle 2 and 3 🤘
This is only part 1!?
bro this song hits hard when you have lost someone you love 😢
I love will ramos so much I've met him alot he's such a sweetheart kind loving caring I love him this song made me left in tears I love it so much im glad will is lorna shore permanently vocalist
These guys are full of energy at there live shows it’s unreal the following they’ve created in a years time
The entire album is incredible!!!
This song is powerful! Amazing. I cant wait for the album
One of the best bands, if not the best that I've found during the last couple years.
I’m getting married in a couple weeks and the thought of living without her hit me hard. Never expected a deathcore song to bring me to tears.
Sure! I’ll get right on it because you’re obviously really Alex!
Lorna Shore really takes me with roller coaster journey with this album so far. Brutal, Earth shattered breakdown, sadness, operatic. Everything!!
