I grew up on a small farm. We had cats that worked for their living. We fed them and gave them a warm dry place to sleep, and they repaid us catching mice in the granary. They never harmed songbirds or wildlife. Just the mice in the barns. A few would come and show us what they caught. Praised and petted them. No poisons !
Cat's blinking to their owners is a sign of love for their owners, and I love how this Kitty climbs after snatching his prey and blinks many times as if saying "Saw that? I caught it, how cool was that? It was cool, right?" then comes to get a petting for a job well done.
That cat must have built in radar! We had a half grown young Cat that would slam into the wall over and over at a mouse hole. He finally got the mouse but it took him many tries. He would stick his paw in the hole far as he could going 150 mph.🤣
