hello, maybe I have a stupid question for you, please tell me how you change the direction of the coordinate axis. I just see in the lessons that you press some button on the keyboard. and thanks for your tutorials, they are great!
Hey Justin I love your content ! I have one question for you , if you was drawing metal work projects would you chose sketchup pro or fusion 360 paid ? I think sketchup may be better but I just wanted to see what your thoughts on this would be !
What I think is that all of Fredos extensions should come with Sketchup. I used Setchup for the first time maybe 15 years ago and I feel the default toolset has not changed much at all. To make something useful in Sketchup you almost have to have a ton of extra extensions. Or it at the very least you're going to have to do a ton of more manual work than if you've had those extensions. Why is that? And why are there no primitives, just to make a stupid sphere takes the use of several tools to achieve what all other 3D apps does in one click of the mouse? If you were to compare Sketchup with Blender. Blender has become so much better that it's almost un-recognizable as the same tool during the same time. And it just keeps adding new features. And lots of tools in Blender or Addons as they are called are built in, it's just a matter of turning them on. As far as I know there is very little of that in Sketchup and Sketshup is not even a free tool if you do want the full featured version. But even if you do pay for the full version don't get any of the best extensions. I feel Sketchup needs a massive overhaul of the toolset and incorporation of Fredos and many other great extension makers very useful extensions. Pay them handsomely for thier no doubt hard work as many other apps have done for people how has developed Addons in other software. This has happned in Blender, Maya, Max as they've released a new version something that used to be an external add on is now incorporated. But this doesn't happen in Sketchup, why? I thought Sketchup was a Google invention surely they have the backing and funds to do something like that. Especially since Profesionals working with it pays do do so.
Blender is not typically used for architecture or construction drawings. Sketchup is a great alternative to basic 2D Cad programs, and the more costly and complicated programs such as Revit or Archicad. To be fair, industry professionals don't commonly use sketchup over these programs i just mentioned, however there is arguably an increase in pro's wanting to learn sketchup. The plugins thing is what it is. Many softwares including blender require add-ons or plugins.
I am a professional and you could use this program perfectly for professional projects. I've been using it since its first version. In fact, in many companies it is used in the early stages for its comfort and ease of learning. Sketchup's problem, which has several, is redundancy and a lack of consensus in plugin programming. I no longer have the head to remember the names of the functions of 100 plugins, especially if they appear mixed in different menus and do not have an animated gif in which you can remember how it works. Many you will only use once. I could -and I have- give Trimble at least 50 suggestions to improve and simplify it, but I'm old enough not to argue with the gang.
question. why every 3 weeks do I have to waste a seat because fredo plugins is asking me that my plugins are about to expire? if I bought the 40 dollars bundle. am getting freak out because I already ran out of my fredo plugin seats. IN THE SAME COMPUTER. WTF??? I might need to have a word with fredo because if I have to waste a seat on the same PC every 3 weeks. theres is something wrong... buying a license means that is in your computer for a very long time. whats fredos problem... any idea!! thank you cheers
No clue - I'd leave a post on the SketchUcation forum and ask - sounds like something is going wrong with the licensing software, but I've not had the issue, so I don't know how to fix it
@@Thesketchupessentials thank you for looking up!.. could you do a brief video on how Fredo license works? am looking at his sketchucation information and it says: Free Trial period (full features): 15 days from activation Perpetual license (3 seats): $25 (~22€) Rush license (3 seats, valid 21 days from purchase date): $8 (~7€) I think I bought the Rush license. I want to buy the bundle. how would that be. and I want my license not to expire every 3 weeks.. what if I buy the 40usd bundle. it includes 8 plugins. but will they expired every three weeks? I need them now. I have no choice I have a job and need them to work .. thanks justin
@@MannyAlejandro-tq2qk I guess I don't understand - if you bought the rush license, it's going to expire every 21 days, so it sounds like it's doing what it's supposed to do. It says that in the information you posted. If you buy the perpetual license, then it doesn't do that
Amazing Info Thanks bro
Loved your work
Thanks!
