You are very welcome! However. I did do something wrong. If you read the comments, one person told me how to make it work without grinding. Be sure to read that comment, and good luck with the upgrade!
@@tylerheard1279 thank you. This is actually a revival of a project I had a while back and watched your video but didn’t have the parts. I randomly ended with the fitting that holds the round air filter and decided to look up your video again. I have several bigger saws that I use more but something about the 4600 I just like. One thing I like about it is how quiet it is. Don’t get me wrong, I love a loud obnoxious demon sounding saw but for when that isn’t practical the 4600 always shows up
@u.sonomabeach6528 mine is my current favorite. It's not crazy heavy. Runs awesome and mine is ported so it's got good power. I just wish it had an oiler that driven by the clutch drum.
I didn't actually know if it would work out the way it did but I had a hunch because the CS 4600 and CS 5000 share the same chassis. You can even put a CS 5000 piston and cylinder on a CS 4600 bottom end. Thanks for watching
Just a quick comment. I have a 5000 and the plastic filter base goes on first then you thread in the stud and makes it the right length. That way you don't have to cut the hex off.
That is a great filter upgrade Tyler!
Thank you!
That’s what I needed to know! Seems I need to get the larger air filter cover. I was watching to see how you made yours fit over the filter. Thank you

@@tylerheard1279 yeah the oiler is the only negative with mine.
Great info for the Echo fans
Thank you
Nice upgrade Tyler, I like that you were able to use stock parts from a different model! Curious how you figured this out? 😸

That makes a lot more sense! Wish I had you with me when I was doing this. I works the way it is but that would have been a lot easier. Thank you
@tylerheard1279 Thank you for your video, it's nice to see info on these saws, they are very well made.
@MegaKelcat agreed! I love it. After the cylinder work, this is my favorite 50cc class saw I own.
Thats the style of filter my Echo 680 and 7310 use. I'd like to upgrade my Echo 501 to something better
I'm not super familiar with that model but I'm sure there is something you can adapt. Thanks for watching!
Is the 501 the pro version of the 4910?
@@tylerheard1279 , yes thats rite.
