Love the flash kick by Muteki at 1:07! Great comeback by Muteki in round 3! Muteki is just a little better in anticipating the next attack. Still, great matchup and play by both players! Usually, Guile vs Guile is a boring sonic boom and down forward matchup, but both players made this matchup exciting!
I'm actually more impressed by his st.Roundhouse cancel into Flash Kick at 1:04. Perfect move for the situation, just to gain that little bit of ground and totally surprise his opponent.
Both of these guys other than Watson are the best of the best Guile players imo. This vid shows a clash between two opposing styles, Kurahashi's defensive style vs Muteki's free style and it went down to the wire. Great match!
The second part is what matters more, and wiff jab doesn't effect charge timing. It makes it easier to remember when you have enough charge, but it doesn't change the properties of charge.
I for whatever reason decided to count the number of special moves used, enjoy the stats. 1 Somersault Strike 6 Flash Kicks 146 Sonic Booms As repetitive as the video may appear to some I've never found it dull with all the tension and Muteki's expressions.
Half way correct. The rapid jabs cancel some of the recovery of jab and strong sonic booms. I'm assuming that's why it was done here. This mirror match is very much space reliant. So it's better to sonic boom, walk a little bit, downback some rapid jabs and throw another one. Every little inch matters here. Secondly, the rapid fire whiffs is to fake out your opponent to make him guess your next attack. It's very essential when it comes to zoning.
Anyone know how to do the pure cancel to super that Muteki used in the first match? I got the 2x renda cancel to super down, i just wanna know the input for the pure cancel.
Without a doubt doubt muteki is the best. his style is more of offense which show's Guile true potential of his crazy wall pressure game. But I perfer Kurahashi's Guile for he is "in my opinion" the best defensive Guile ever, if you see his match with John Choi's Sagat, your jaws will drop on how he played defensively great on an smart yet aggressively scary play by John Choi's Sagat.
Muteki backhanded Kurahashi while he was in the corner (The game broke them up for cornering) and Kurahashi also hit with a Sonic Boom in the same moment (Also pushing Muteki away from him).
@Jamerio3D im glad im not the only one who thinks SF2T >> SSFIV and SFIV SF2T is faster, more precise and its harder to combo (thus more skill involved)
Yes, it is very hard. I've been trying that combo on Hyper Street Fighter II since Guile is my favorite character. I got out the super one time but the training dummy blocked it since the timing was off.
Christ I have been trying to get down throwing sonic booms like that, but damn these guys are crazy. b,f+hp,b lp,lp, f+hp...or am I missing something Anyone know any good charge buffering videos?
@Jamerio3D FINALLY someone who agrees with me. ive been saying this since SF4 came out. its too slow, sluggish, crap ultra mechanics. sf2t is fast, flowing, proper skilled gaming.
Champion Edition and Hyper Fighting were made with the CPS1 engine which allows for combos that cannot be done in the CPS2 engine (Super, Super Turbo). Hyper Fighting is more balanced than Champion edition, the game speed is faster and better for it imo. Each SFII version is unique, though the least fun is easily Super Street Fighter II The New Challangers.
Because "If that's the case" doesn't mean anything. I know these two are ST gods. I don't know anything about pads, sticks, and turbo controls and whether or not someone playing with turbo = noob. So do forgive the ignorance.
SF players should look older. Hhahha old school. these are the fathers of the tekken, vf, doa, and whatever new generation of fighting players lols. OLD SCHOOL!!! KURAHASHI style!
Not necessarily HP sonic booms, plus they might have rapid fire controls turned on. If that's the case, just hold LP and db. Forward and then back to db while holding the LP button the entire time.
I know watson has an amazing guile, seen how he spaces but his prime was in the early versions of SFII, super SFII nerfed guile a lot compared to his CPS1 versions. In Super Turbo he is solid mid tier rather than being one of the best characters in the older versions of SFII. Besides Super Turbo is a different game than CE, hyper fighting.
Lol at you accusing two ST gods of using turbo at a tournament that's played on an arcade machine. Do you generally speak on things you know absolutely nothing about?
I never get tired of watching Muteki play. Wish they had more of his Guile matches out there.
Muteki has got to be the happiest guy in the FGC. His huge grin is infectious.

Wow this is without a doubt one of the best street fighter matches i have ever watched!!

...are you kidding me?!!! round 3 DOUBLE KO! this is an amazing match!
The second part is what matters more, and wiff jab doesn't effect charge timing. It makes it easier to remember when you have enough charge, but it doesn't change the properties of charge.
NKI told me the combination. Its jump-in hk (while holding down/away) then towards/down, down, away/down + cr. strong~ub+ kick.
DAAAAMN! thats the closest street fighter match i have ever seen. Well this one and
Daigo vs Justin Wong, that was an amazing fight right there :D
I for whatever reason decided to count the number of special moves used, enjoy the stats.
1 Somersault Strike
6 Flash Kicks
146 Sonic Booms
As repetitive as the video may appear to some I've never found it dull with all the tension and Muteki's expressions.
Not only does Muteki do amazing things using Guile, but he also does amazing anti-Guile techniques.
2nd match is breathtaking
amazing guiles
I like Muteki because he smiles all the time...
It's to prevent you from walking backwards and losing your distancing... also helps some with the timing.
0:28 so cool.
that is one of the most difficult combos and requires high-level skill
in charging and timing although it looks simple.
super hard to do!
Holy fucking shit.
The Sonic Bombs are flying at super sonic speeds.
That match was awesome !!!!

if you kara cancel jab, it also reduces the recovery time of fireballs.
Ahhh Muteki, the beastest of all the guiles.
Do this guy appeal in daigo manga?
Anyone know how to do the pure cancel to super that Muteki used in the first match? I got the 2x renda cancel to super down, i just wanna know the input for the pure cancel.

@Jamerio3D While your comment has completely made my day and is gdlk, only thing I disagree with is that ST is purist, I'd say Hyper Fighting is.
@Jamerio3D FINALLY someone who agrees with me. ive been saying this since SF4 came out.
its too slow, sluggish, crap ultra mechanics.
sf2t is fast, flowing, proper skilled gaming.
Woah.
Awesome match.
相当精彩!
Id like to see these guys play against each other with Guile in SFIV
Is that why they were spamming their weak punch? To either hide or speed up the charge timing?
Champion Edition and Hyper Fighting were made with the CPS1 engine which allows for combos that cannot be done in the CPS2 engine (Super, Super Turbo). Hyper Fighting is more balanced than Champion edition, the game speed is faster and better for it imo. best way to win a match, that fast tick low kick!
especially with this speed, muteki is too much of a beast with guile
OH WOW SO INTERESTING AND ENTERTAINING
ON THE EDGE OF MY SEAT
SONIC BOOMMMM
10/10
muteki is my favorite guile player.
I was wrong, that only works with Ryu for some reason, pantailamon is right.
1:50 Just timing double sonic booms.
whats the difference between CE and hyper fighting?
they say muteki guile but i read mute gairu(guile),why
i know that muteki kinda means unmatched
aye..aye..AYYYEEEE!!
how do they sboom so fast
昔のクラハシマジで漫画とそっくり
ウメクラ対談見てからこれ見ると確かにおっかない顔して映ってる
@Jamerio3D i allways laugh when i read something like that...
Because "If that's the case" doesn't mean anything. I know these two are ST gods. I don't know anything about pads, sticks, and turbo controls and whether or not someone playing with turbo = noob. So do forgive the ignorance.
thanks for the wierd stats
these guys are good...
@bildoz greatest post ever lmao
結局このゲームを超える格ゲーないな
awsome
charge B, F, B+Punch = start charging the instant u release Sonic Boom!
1. Sonic Boom
2. Repeat above step 436 times
Very good match.
all in all, j. hk and low forward ftw!!!!
no, I think he meant teenage mutant ninja turtles.
thats toutanki next to muteki at 2:52
wtf @ 2:46...when does guile have push powers?
That would be muteki guile. (He won this match too)
there is an easier way. (charge)db,df,ub+k or (charge) db,hcb,ub+k.
Muteki did 65 Sonic Booms in 2:56
lol wow
SF players should look older. Hhahha old school. these are the fathers of the tekken, vf, doa, and whatever new generation of fighting players lols. OLD SCHOOL!!! KURAHASHI style!
00:15 VERY mirror match ? o.O
A Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles match?
i didnt know sylar played street fighter...
Not necessarily HP sonic booms, plus they might have rapid fire controls turned on. If that's the case, just hold LP and db. Forward and then back to db while holding the LP button the entire time.
wtf to Guile's sonic boom voice
ahahah ikr xD
afaik muteki is considered the best
hahaha, guile mirrors with players with impeccable charge timing...
I know watson has an amazing guile, seen how he spaces but his prime was in the early versions of SFII, super SFII nerfed guile a lot compared to his CPS1 versions. In Super Turbo he is solid mid tier rather than being one of the best characters in the older versions of SFII.

Always bet on Guile
00:28
i could never perfect guile's super flash kick.. it works only half of the time :( these guys do it like nothing
1:04
やばっ
Um no, that would be Kurahashi.
just
pro charging haha
what's up with Muteki playing against a 40 years old
build meter
Lol at you accusing two ST gods of using turbo at a tournament that's played on an arcade machine. Do you generally speak on things you know absolutely nothing about?
