Seriously, it was frustrating me so much as I must have been installing slightly the wrong versions.
I tried uninstalling and doing it your way, but it still wouldn't work, (couldn't find one of the Google packages to uninstall). As I had only just set up the fire, I reset to factory settings, followed your links and BOOM BABY, we're in!!

Tried this on my fire hd 8 i just received today..
apps from google play weren't downloading or working when i 1st installed all the google apks,
but after a reboot of the fire hd, works no problem now.. thanks..

To the folks saying that this doesn't work, you have to install all the packages LOCALLY. It will not work if you have additional storage installed. If possible, remove your SD card before you attempt this installation. It worked for me once I removed my SD and did a complete reset, then did the install and update and only then reinstalled my additional storage. Doing it that way WILL wipe your device, but it shouldn't be an issue if you back up your data. Alternatively, you can also manually move the files from your SD to local storage, but that didn't work for me (I think I moved them in the wrong order). If you're going to try the manual move before taking the factory reset plunge, I'd recommend moving the packages in the same order you installed them immediately after the install and THEN doing the restart and log in. Also, do not let the tablet move the files back to your SD once you put it in and reformat it again. With those tweaks, however, this method should work for you if you install everything in order as described in the video. Good luck! And thank you, ETA Prime, for the help! I've been trying to get this working for months and really appreciated the walkthrough.

Kyle Cookson ugh mine comes today. I plan on rooting mine and installing lineage os to get a more stock version of android. Unfortunately there is no video guide for this so I’m just going to have to figure it out from the xda post 😂

I just bought a Fire HD8 on Black Friday sales based on the fact that your instructions can Open it up to use Apps on Google Play Store.
I followed you instructions today, with a minor change. My Fire HD8 has become a GREAT Android Tablet. I can use the TH-cam App to CAST video on my 4K Pico Projector and I will setup the Microsoft Office apps to run one of our Online Business.

Omg thank you so much your a life saver. ive always owned a android device but i couldn't stop noticing that every single amazon tablet as literally got 5* rating so 3 days ago i purchased the Amazon Fire HD 8 32GB for my wife for £100/$128 but only to discover the same shop as got a sale on the same tablet of £65/$83 but never mind. within the 3 days all she as done is set it up but no used it so i said ill have it and in return she can go and get a tattoo lol. so now thanks to ETA Prime i now have android on the tablet but im only using it for ETS2 for Sim Dashboard, Discord, Steam and trucky so mybe i should of got a android tablet to begin with.
i just need to find a tablet clamp now to mount onto the desk rather than a stand because i dont want to stand to fall over everytime i touch he screen.

I thought it didn't work at first, but realized it was opening the links under the normal browser. Once I opened it under the silk browser it worked perfectly. Give that a try and I bet it will work for you too. 7/3/2020

I had the problem with the play store not opening and needing login every time. I looked up on the web and it was suggested I uninstall my SD card first. I took it out and factory reset the tablet. I followed the list of downloads and finally had success. I hope this helps anyone else with this problem.

Hello, I know this video is old but I tried it on my fire head 8 pro. When opening play store it keep sayin “check infor” and give error that google play services needs to be updated before. Is there a new way to go about it?

OK for some reason mine say checking info for the last 5 min.
@@tiffanybattle7764 you need to download 4 files. then install serially. after all the installation wait a bit. one of the apps(google framework) will say it needs to update in the notification panel. update that one. you are done.

I followed all the tutorial steps, however, when i attempt to use the Google Play Store it keeps spinning on the Checking Info. screen. I found a couple of recommendations to clear data/cache but that didn't help. Anyone have any ideas? Appreciate the help.

This tablet is pretty bad, I got it last year when I stacked a bunch of deals together for ~$25. It can be slow as molasses at times, I cant really complain since the price was so cheap. I wouldn't pay full price for it and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone unless they got it for peanuts. I am happy that you got one because i know you will maximize its abilities and I will get to reap the benefits hopefully :P Great video!! Keep up the good work!
I had to download all from Silk Browser which worked like a charm. Only thing is that I can't open apps inside the Play store. Did I do something wrong, normal or is there a workaround? not the worst thing in the world but would be nice. Thx for this!!
Everything worked and Play Store installed, but when downloading apps, it just says 'download pending'. Left it for 40 mins, and wouldn't download? Am I doing something wrong?
We see the same problem on Kindle Fire 8 Kids (purchased March 2020). Play store appears normally but all downloads just spin forever. Additionally, we get a notification that says "Google Play Services will not work until updated" or something similar. But of course when we click on it to update, it takes us to Google Play and the download does not work.
Tried twice but right after sign in and waiting 3 min it shuts down about 5 seconds each start up.
Appreciate the hookup. Can finally download some real apps 🙌🏽
