Call social workers at hospitals and rehab centers that’s where the bulk of my clients come from…also try Senior organizations like Council on aging and such! I hope this helps☺️

Hey Mrs. Michelle. I'm in Portland, Oregon. I am a Peer Support/Wellness Specialist and Certified Mental Health Adult Care Home Operator. We have lots of different types of homes here. I would love to talk with you if it's possible. Here they are emptying put large facilities and trying to get more residents in care homes or group homes. The pay rate for my certification is different then adult disability.

Did you say Medicaid doesn’t pay enough for agency to hire pay to work? Now you apply Medicaid. Do you let your clients to pay an amount to make up the amount you have to charge for your services?

Yes they will, because the caregiver cries and do much more than they’re to do to get the client or even to have the other caregiver’s schedule, I have experienced that.

Coach, I think all agencies should change their rate so they can pay the caregivers a fair rate because those clients needs the services and they can afford to pay it.

Im in texas and fairly new but in the process of trying to be a medicaid provider.Are you saying its not worth it?
The reimbursement rate is so low. You would have to do the math and determine if it’s worth it financially.
How do i find out the market charges in my area so i know what to charge?
I would recommend doing some market research in your market.
