I guess I wouldn’t consider myself an “old school nurse” lol!! I am currently an RNCM And I do mostly Field Nursing, IOW, going into the homes. Let me just say regarding old school Nurses taking longer…people are sooo much more sicker these days with multiple co morbidities. My visits last longer than an hour because I’m

lol, however; you are absolutely correct. I agree 100%. This is exactly why I recommend everyone having a RN. RNs are needed, even if the state says not required.

Yesterday I was having a conversation about this topic. For me regulated or non regulated state i personally would hire a RN or LPN to do the initial intake/ assessment 💕🌻🙏

The social workers usually send a nurse, sometimes therapist but not from us a non medical home care , that is already a lot of money.
How do you figure out if you’re state requires a RN? I know my state requires licensing (TX) but I’m confused on the part of needing a RN.
Please I have a question: How many years of experience should the RN have in order to sign off on the licensing package? For the state of GA?
Can a medication aide administer medication?
Can I work for myself first and than hire???

I’m an NP starting my own home health care business. Do I operate as an RN? Or can I functions an NP when I go out to do the initial assessment?
Awesome, you would be following the guidelines of your state’s licensing division. If you are in a regulated state there will be guidelines for you to follow which will fall under the scope of a RN.
