One of the coolest parts of SCP Lore, in fact one of the few consistent parts that could even be considered canon to every timeline, is that their own database is intentionally filled with false information and fake articles to obscure the real ones. You never know if the thing you are reading about actually happened or is a distraction intentionally misleading you. These articles can be loosely grouped into timelines and canons that are consistent with each other, but in every case the database is kept in this state of perpetual ambiguity.

Why is this 23k budget movie better than AAA feature lenghts - its fan made. Fans want quality. Big studios want maximum profit with minimal expenses - that's why we get bad CGI in big movies, and clever CGI in indie or fan made movies.

MFT is divided into different groups, this particular group is the First contact team. Their job is to clear the path for the other groups, so, not the brightest bunch.

100% those are NOT real helicopters. The model of bird sort of gives it away. Those are UH-60s, they're (relatively) expensive to run and there are basically none in private civilian hands. Companies and larger organizations do run those but alot of them are for SAR and firefighting etc, and they're not in the mostly slick military configuration. Also, depending on how clandestine the op is super sneaky special bois don't have to dress to regular military standard so the lax level of uniform is perfectly acceptable even among real world units. Also, the lack of attachment on the bottom of that rifle isn't unusual, I've seen lots of dudes just mag well grip their rifles after about 10 minutes of movement lmao. All the important bits are there; IR/visual laser module/illuminator holographic optic with a night vision mode (Eotechs generally have those unless you get a green reticle model afaik) and magnifier. Their CQB is pretty spot on. That hallway is pretty fuckin' gnarly in that respect, so many angles and doorways for a limited team so moving fast as possible to get an initial clear is pretty pivotal and that's exactly what they did. I highly recommend watching OperatorDrewski's video on the behind the scenes so you can see them work with their military consultant.

They are wearing casual clothes with the standard combat vests and such because they’re on outside and public operation, not within the facility or their jurisdiction.

The big smoke was actually so they could see the invisible enemy as they displace the smoke when moving through it. The not shooting the guy on the ceiling and using gas was to gather info on what could affect these things since they are obviously not human anymore. And the endless corridors are in SCP Dollhouse which is also pretty good. Also a buried eldritch old god is only keter class at worst usually. Hell SCP-2662 is basically a young version of Cthulu that was only Euclid class for a while. And yeah its a cornerstone of the SCP universe that the articles end with the SCP unexplained because they are in the end unexplainable. Not something to that can be understood with regular physics but something to be Secured, Contained, and Protected so it doesn't break the veil.

When pender was reaching for the gun he could have easily curled into a ball above the gun and mtf would be on top of him with pender still able to grab the pistol and shoot someone or he could have a knife on him self to stab someone. It was just safer to shoot pender than try to dogpile him.
