I thought these small Jags were very good looking, unmistakably a Jaguar. At the time I remember it being very criticized, not well regarded, and a sales failure.
People hated it because it was based on the Ford Mondeo, which means it was front biased. That's not usually what people expect from a Jaguar, as they're known for rear wheel drive cars with either a 6 cylinder or a V8.
