Great documentary of this building fire. Video and audio truly offered the reality of this event as though we were there with all of those brave and efficient firemen/women. The added touch is the drone footage showing the intensity and persistence of this raging fire. Thanks for this reporting. Stay safe!
Excellent job on the footage! Thank you for documenting what we do on the daily! These crews made a great stop. - Veteran Northeast Massachusetts Firefighter 💪🍀
As a retired firefighter (captain) my only negative comment is that when you have embedded cockloft fires in commercial row buildings is that you attempt to drive master streams low and upward into the cockloft not bounce water off of a tar roof. Otherwise great job!
That roof hatch or whatever it was over the cafe was stubborn. It seemed like every time the master stream moved off of it for even a second, it flared back up again.
@@DaveCornutt there was heavy fire in the cockloft that was venting through the Skuttle. Anytime they put the stream from the tower ladder in there it prevented the flames from coming out. But once they moved it, the cock off was able to vent again.
How did that fire gain so much headway in broad daylight, in a busy commercial district, that it was already fully involved and through the roof on arrival?
@@gun138 7:11 "don't go in there, the deck gun's operating over your head". Right before you switched to the drone you can see the deck gun while they have inside crews
Looks like hydrant/water pressure issues. I still wouldn't be complaining and sounding clueless even if I wasn't a Firefighter like the original comment above. It's always the armchair non- Firefighters that couldn't make it through the academy with the rest of us that make the idiotic comments. These crews made a great stop on a stubborn fire. Could very easily have lost the exposures plus much more. Just because YOU think YOU know, does not mean YOU know;-)💪🍀

These volunteers were the best! Great job saving the structures surrounding the fire. These fire responders are the best

Agreed.. also wear your full scbas it does no good without being on air.
Awesome work guys keep it up there
Great footage I hope they can rebuild 🙏
So do I
Great job guys
What drone are you using my friend ? Excellent vid too.
DJI Mini 4 Pro
Great job of protecting exposures. One question, with fire through the roof, 3 elevated master streams set up, only one in use???
They were having water pressure issues from the hydrants
Wow no wathers? @@gun138
Excellent drone footage! 👍🏼
Mavic-3 series?

Water on the fire from the sidewalk . Quick work first due! Nice.
God bless our firefighters
I was walking down the street with my friend shopping then we saw the shops caught fire it was really tragiv

They’re still investigating, but, the restaurant was vacant and I believe it was being renovated
@@gun138 the type of renovation that uses large quantities of flammable accelerants.
Hidden
@zyglono 9826 no proof of that
As with most commercial fires , Once the fire gets into the cockloft , It's goodnight nurse..
What started the fire?
I don’t think they know yet, the restaurant was under renovation
Were they seriously streaming the roof with people working inside?
@@RabbahDocRona nope. They went to outside operations

Yes... everyone should have been out once you start using master streams..the weight of that water on a weaken roof equals eventual roof failure
I’m not sure it was a good idea to have those firemen in that building with all the active fire on the roof.
That’s normal operating procedure
It's their one and only working fire for the year. Give them a break.

Firefighters with heavy equipment climbing ladders without someone footing the ladder. Unnecessary risk.
Gray baby
Painters and contractors climb ladders everyday by themselves. They will be ok.
It’s very common for less experienced firefighters to recite nonsense from Safety manuals to appear more salty
