In today's video, we are starting to add accessories and upgrade our 2024 Ford F450 Limited. We have lots of plans for this truck, but we have to start somewhere. We are starting our upgrades by adding Ford splash guards on the back and having the bed sprayed with Line-X in Orlando, FL. These upgrades came out great and will serve a great purpose with our RV lifestyle. Nice job on the flaps. When I put mine on our ram, I had a Ford guy help me out. The Drivers side came out a little crooked 😉. Retrax is an awesome bedcover. We had one on our 3/4 ton back in the day. Well worth it, you won't be disappointed.

We picked up a Brinkley Z3610 and a 2024 F350 SRW 6.7 HO Platnium Tremor to tow it and my daily. I wanted to have some Offroad ability other wise this is the truck I would have bought.

Got my 2024 F450 Limited mid May. Less than 1600 miles and the AC compressor goes out. An issue coming out of the Kentucky plant. I am 880 on the back order list with no delivery date estimated. And I live in LA, (lower Alabama) and here now in June - July summer HEAT

Before the rear diff cover starts to oxidize, you should paint it black and while still wet use a rag and wipe off the paint from the top of each fin. Then spray the whole cover with urethane or a clear coat. I did my ram 5 yrs ago, it still looks new. Check out Banks diff covers so you know what I’m talking about. The oxidized cover will be an eye soar. 😊

Hey awseome truck congrats! I have a F450 Limited being built as we speak, I have a couple questions....Does adding the FX4 package remove the stock G rated Continental tires and replace them with the traction tires? Will that reduce long distance driving/wear and tear? Also, for hotshotting, do you think air bag suspension added in is overkill? Thank you!
You may find the Ford flaps don't give you the protection you really want. I suggest paint protection film on the dually fenders because chips are so obvious with the dark colors and then Duraflaps with extended length. A very good looking truck and spray-in bedliner the way to go! One thing you may want to do now that you're moving over to towing goose with safety chains, put a door mat on the bed floor for the chains to lay on/sweep across. It'll avoid obvious drag lines from forming in the bedliner. I just use the perforated rubber mat we put at the foot of our 5er's steps when setting up camp. Safe journeys!

Any truck should come with a factory spray in bed liner.

Nice truck! Those flaps are to short, Duraflaps!
The bottom of each rear flap should align with the opposite side, level means nothing unless the truck is level. Aesthetically, being they are the same side to side (use a piece of string or eyeball) is what matters.

what cover did you get?
I had an 08 F450 and a fiver that scaled 30,000# together. Loved the truck. Sold it with 138,000 miles on it and still had original brakes. Tires went 102,000.
The $120,000 Carriage Turned out to be junk. Short sold it and still have $23,000 to payoff. Never again.
Well you had an 08. Those were absolute junk. This is a 2024. Much better truck.
The truck was fine. Never had a repair except for warranty on the fuel filter and the radiator. The RV was a disaster

never had an engine problem. Ford quality right now is terrible. $5 billion in warranty claims last year, truck queued up everywhere awaiting ship due to quality issues.
Congrats on the truck! Sad part is, that is a LIMITED edition and it didnt have a spray in bed liner! WTF! For the price of a Limited, maybe not the mud flaps or ball…. But it should damn well come with a sprayed bed!
Easy upgrade and I would rather have it not sprayed if it means getting the truck. Every add on makes the build take longer for some reason, which is why we didn't add it from the factory.
Ugh I’ve had an F450 limited on order since August to replace my 2018 F450 limited. Wish it would hurry up

Great looking Truck.. the OEM spray in liner option lists for $595. Why not order it with factory sprayed liner?
Most dealers will tell you to only add what can’t be installed later when ordering the higher trims. Every option you add has the potential to delay your build.
Don’t leave the empty case in the bed of your truck while towing. Mine blew out and had to get a new one. And I lost my little covers as well😢
The 450 needs to be my next truck. I wish I had just bought it instead of the 2500 I have now. The 2500 works with what I have now but 40' toy haulers have gotten very tongue heavy the last 7 years and now I can't really upgrade without getting a bigger truck.
I’ve had about 7 diesel trucks all 2500’s and I was never satisfied until I got a brand new 2023 f450 king ranch. I’m finally satisfied and happy. Once and for all
You will never go back to a 2500 for towing. It will be a huge difference.

Yep. The limited comes with the HO. It took 16 months ☹️
@@1StrangeAdventure I ordered at 2023 F450 Platinum sept of 2022. Sept of 2023 changed the order to 2024 F450 platinum . Still no build date.

They used to do 100,000 mil ESP Premium and a 200,000 miles on the diesel engine. FWIW my radiator replacement was $1,300 and I paid the sales tax and replacement coolant - about $90 plus $100 deductible

Who knows why they dropped the Limited in the F-150 But kept it in the F-250 and up? The F-150 now has the Platinum Plus!
No clue why manufacturers do what they do bye we sure do love the limited trim on our 450!
First mod should be the DCR pump kit.
It’s cheaper to use fuel additive’s. And buy fuel from places that sell large quantities.
@@TonyBenton0728 additives might help, but won't fix a poorly designed pump. The CP4 is garbage.
@@1hasbeen531 Well I have a 2022 F450 and I am using Hot Shot Secret or Archoil . Because the U.S. fuel is a drier fuel than in Europe . If I was to do anything I would install the disaster prevention kit. And if you do your research about 7% of the fuel pumps fail in the U.S. and 1% in Europe.
And replace the cold side intercooler pipe with aftermarket.
Second the comment on the DCS fuel pump replacement for the CP4 Ford fuel pump. Hotshot Secret Every Day diesel fuel additive a must until DCS fuel pump replacement.
Finally, use the Blue DEF “platinum” day one.
Lots of evidence of the above on YT.
Note: some dealerships are using the clause in the Ford Warranty that the CP4 failure was “customer caused by using bad fuel”, and sticking the customer with the $12k $18k fuel pump failure and the damage caused repair bill.
No spray in bedliner for the price you paid
I did not choose that option. It would have taken longer to deliver.

@@TonyBenton0728 ive been on both sides. Drove a truck for 44 years. Hauled campers with 150 250 350 and 450. My kenworth pulls it far better. I don't even need brakes on it semi stops it just fine. Even though I have controller. Thats why
@@thomaswilson8634 And I drove for 41 plus years retired at 63 all with private fleets. Retired 5 years ago. I have a 2022 f 450 platinum towing a 2022 Riverstone legacy 42 fskg. I know the limitations of the HDT because it restricts when you can go. And my guess is you are out west where it makes a little more sense to have one. Me being from the southeast there are very few rv campgrounds that can hold a HDT. I don’t have the desire to drive a HDT for pleasure.
Delete those ridiculous looking bed and bumper steps. Horrible redesign by @ford. Interior is really nice.. exterior is the worst looking SuperDuty to date. 🤦🏼♂️

@@1StrangeAdventure Ram is awesome… until the warranty runs out. Yeah,… won’t be buying any ram or Dodge products anytime soon. Been there done that, they have lost my business. Trucks have torque converter problems minivans have transmission problems and they don’t stand behind their product.
