In this video, I'm going to walk you through installing several Nilight LED light bars as well as the RetraxPro sliding bed cover. Both of these upgrades have been well worth the effort. Really like the RetraxPro… nice look and very strong. Kinda thought you’d go with Pace Edwards Electric Remote model, only electric for 8 ft bed. Both great looking, love the hard cover too.
The lights I hadn’t considered, good idea. Will ponder that one.

Really like the Ceramic Tint, used Tint World… they do a beautiful job, can’t even see Ft windshield tint.

Great video and info! Your add-on lights are super! Looked into them more and extremely reasonable price compared to BMC lights @ $500+ upwards. May need to drill a few holes in Hitch but saves well over $400 for essentially same light. I’ll follow your lead on add-on backup & side lights! Thanks for the video!

Great video! I am looking to add a bedliner to my new F450. Are there other options besides the sprayiin bedliner that are easy to use with gooseneck when I am towing? Like Bedrug from RealTruck? Can I cut holes for the gooseneck hitch? I will be using the bed for hauling stuff sometimes and towing sometimes and want to protect the bed from dents.

I have the same Retrax on our 2020 F350 and in a tight unlevel turn our pinbox has made contact with the Retrax slide rails and bent them slighty. Just a FYI!

First, we really appreciate your content. Thank you for taking the time to put your content together. A couple of questions about the cover. I may have missed it, but is the cover an MX? Second question is, I noticed you didn’t install any drain tubes. Are there drain tubes and if so did you install them? Did it require any bed drilling?
Yes, it's the RetraxPro MX. It does have drain tubes, which is what my son was installing under it. The ford has two plastic removable bed inserts in the front directly under the cover housing. I drilled a hole through the plastic that was the same size as the drain tube and inserted them into it. Works great!

I only use Niilights on my trucks because of the 2 year warranty and are much better built than even cheaper lights.

Those are great questions. I would recommend reaching out to RealTruck or eTrailer to find out. Sorry, I don't have experience with those and don't want to steer you wrong.
how much does the cover weigh? How close are you to GVWR truck, do you know? How much payload do you have left?
Great choice on the retrax. Well worth it. Lights turned out pretty good. Did you mount the side lights under the bedside step?
Thanks! Yes, they are mounted directly under the step. Already had a hole for the drop down step you can purchase.
I installed similar lights on my F350 on the rear bumper. Note to self! Don’t forget to turn them off. lol. I’ve been stopped in the morning as I’ve forgotten to turn them off. Stopped Twice!

Does the bed cover block your view of the gooseneck ball when you are hooking up to your trailer?
As long as it's all the way open, it does not obstruct your view of the gooseball.
Look at the Morimoto third brake light with the rapid flash and get the smoke color.

@@1StrangeAdventure My F-450 came in, and I put on the Ford part number for the Retrax Pro Tonneau. Those Ryobi totes fit perfectly, within ¼”! Very happy with my purchase based off a strangers advice 👌🏻
Do you haul you ryobi boxes in the bed of your truck?
Yes. They fit under the cover casing and stay there all the time.

Do you think the ho motor is worth it.i only tow about 10 times a year about 20k.i had a 2022 f450 with std 6,7 power stroke.it did very well
So far that motor is a beast! A lot more power on take off than the RAM HO for sure!
@@1StrangeAdventure I bought a 2024 ram 3500 dually with regular Cummins .what a huge difference.i just don’t know if 50 hp and 150flbs of torque is worth the extra 2,500k .i can’t seem to get a real good answer
@@skeim5620the bump in HP / Torque is beneficial, although you gain several additional benefits. The Turbo has additional liquid cooling, and a few other engine updates. The Stnd 6.7 also gained benefits from the HO development.
I stayed with the SO on the 2024 Ram 3500 cclb dually that I ordered. I don't need the HO and the increased service intervals.
Looks great. FYI, take the FX4 stickers off the side of the truck….you can use a hair dryer and heat it up first and it would come off much easier…

@@1StrangeAdventuresome people just hate the stickers. Not a Ford thing at all. I’ve left mine on all 3 that I’ve had so far
I normally remove Dealer emblem and stickers… use a heatgun / hair dryer to heat them up so you don’t damage the clearcoat. I also pick up the 3M skin roll, cut sections for door sills and in ft of rear fenders to prevent shoes scuffing sills and road debris chipping fenders.
