one of the amazing things about icebergs photography is that as opposed to other "location based photography", no one but you will end up with these shots - in an hour after you took that shot, the iceberg will look different and its position has already changed... beautiful, as always, work!
gosh i love the drone i plan to get one some day! showing the screen how you are working it was honestly super helpful to show me what drones look like when using them for the settings! love all the information you teach us
Mary Brown's Taters & Gravy...yum! Some great shots my friend...the blues and greens in the pano and last shot...and the wave! Braver than I on that drone flying...nicely done! 📷😎
another brilliant adventure Gavin, love the first image of the shack, icberg, and moon in blue hour, some excellent drone footage of these always changing icebergs. at least Amanda didn't,t make toast for breakfast this week, love you both, keep doing what you doing.
Watching that complex stitch I remember when I got the bright idea to take three pics of a low storm cloud over the ridge with my Canon Ftb. I got the pics and laid them out edge to edge with a little overlap and was proud of what I had done.
Hey that was a lot of fun! Fascinating, learning how you do the drone pano. If you're not careful, people might start thinking that there is a fantastic photographer behind that goofy facade. 😄
I just recently discovered you! I’m from Newfoundland and I just love your videos. Thank you for coming here! My goodness, what truly breathtaking work. I love my province and seeing it through your lens is phenomenal. Plus you guys are an absolute riot, my kind of humour 😂. Haha yes our iconic Mary Browns is indeed a good “scoff”…also a good “feed”. Can’t wait for more content, wherever your camera leads. 👏🏻
Plop plop fizz fizz oh what a relief it is! For the uninformed and those of a certain vintage to remember that would be a commercial slogan for Alka Seltzer!
Savage stuff Pal ! Those bergs look like they knew you were coming to photograph their final hurrah’s !! A bit close on some passes for sure but hey that’s what it’s all about
Thankyou Gavin and Amanda. You take this mere mortal living at the bottom of the world to some absolutely mindblowing and gorgeous places! And in all weathers! With a dose of humour! Thankyou so much, perhaps I'll be lucky enough to visit some of these gems, afterall, I do have a sister living in Canada. Maybe it's time for a visit😊✈️
Arctic ice & harp seals you start turning up around St. Patrick’s Day, and icebergs usually first turn up around 25 April, in the last two years the end of April two last week of May has been the best time to see icebergs around the northern peninsula of Newfoundland, in the past, it was not uncommon to see icebergs in July and early August, that was at least 15 years ago or more, in more recent years, the iceberg season has ended the first week of July, if you really want to see icebergs, you need to be up here before the tour season relief begins at least last week of April and all of May first week of June if you really want to see icebergs, I will warn you really need to dress warm, the wind that blows off the ice is very cold so dress warm.
that was definitely a Caribou. Have you ever considered buying a fishing sea kayak. Sea Eagle makes exceptional inflatable ones you can go out close to icebergs and get some amazing shots. Fishing kayaks are very stable for photography. Great video as always.
Great content as always - and the photos are great as well? Silly questions: do people "board" icebergs? If so, who would be first to try, you or Amanda?
Putting my sensible head on for a moment (wait, it's a tight fit...) That was an excellent video, nicely balanced with images and a slice of life on the road. As a fellow 'Glutard' I sympathise with Amanda and the dread of wondering what you can eat when out and about. Now that's enough sensible. So where are these sardines anyway...😉
Omg was that the Mary Browns in Deer Lake??? Thats my hometown! Mary browns has the best legs in town!!!! Lol Ok the shot with the moon and and the choice of background music, made me shed a little tear 🥲 lol such perfection!
What about that grilled cheese? Was the second grilled cheese better than the other? Was the crusty part dark again or a nice golden brown? The suspense is nagging me.🤣
Who doesn't love an iceberg photo ... but I'm bloody iceberged out after watching all of Alex's videos! 😛🧊 Only kidding but I do love a good van life video and I'll be stealing Amanda's coffee brewing technique ... I've heard she's taught Peter McKinnon everything he knows about coffee! 😏 On a serious note I really did enjoy you walking us through your pano technique with the drone. That was a superb shot!!
OK, You got icebergs, a fishing shack and mountains. It's time to break out that polar bear costume and put Amanda to work on top of those icebergs. Get some killer wildlife shots.
‘Kin’ell, Gavin! 6km out?! What drone do you use? P.S would be nice to get an answer from you just this once, I’ve tried a few times… fellow Yorkshire person, small channel creator, very amateur photographer, & loyal fan 😉

👌
Exactly!
Each iceberg is a unique shape and constantly changing. Incredible. Massive works of art.
The shot with the fishing shack and the moon is haunting. It really ought to go into your next book. Just superb.
I look forward to these every week. Quit waking Amanda!

Absolutely FABULOUS! THANK YOU SO MUCH💞
Great video Gavin, lovely part of the world.
תודה!
The look on Amanda's face when Gavin is giving the disclaimer about jetboil inside 🤣🤣🤣
😅 She's a class act too~
Awesome images/video as usual. Look forward to next week.
🤝
Fantastic as always
Great iceberg picture
Awesome video Gavin. Quality photos as usual.
Lovely video..the icebergs are just brilliant..😊😊
Beautiful. Lovely to see Newfoundland this way .
Nice video even without a burnt grilled cheese sandwich. As a drone-less person, this video makes me want one .
The stiching became flawless!
another great video - thanks
Superb, thank you both.
Iceberg Epicness!! Awesome vid 🥶😶🌫️😎
The last iceberg image was really good Gav.
Moon, fishing hut... wow. Great fun as always.
Perfect! As usual. Every iceberg has a story, but it's like a pathological liar. It just keeps changing the story.
Ha! Trumpbergs.
Mary Brown's Taters & Gravy...yum! Some great shots my friend...the blues and greens in the pano and last shot...and the wave! Braver than I on that drone flying...nicely done! 📷😎
Great video, thanks for sharing

Bigger and weirder, give it to me, Gavin and Amanda!!!
My oh my, awe inspiring photos!
These icebergs have made a very interesting series, Gavin.
Pano worked out GREAT!
Excellent job on that stitching business 👏
Now you own Amanda a Florida road-trip to compensate temperature wise.
Fantastic images Gavin!! ❄️
Oh man, what a Video … 😮 the insight into how you take your drone panos is amazing. 👍👍👍 … the resulting images are top notch. Cheers ….😊
Some of those bergs have amazing shapes and tonality in the right light. Awe inspiring 👍📸
That shot at 2:57 is noiicceee
Love the shack and moon capture. Great drone footage of the icebergs, love how the photos of these these will be unique. Look forward to seeing more!
Amanda looks great early in the morning.
Great drone shots, Gavin.

Nice ladder for the back of the camper!
10/10 for your dedication. You continued to photograph the iceberg even with the temptation to get a kitty cat cuddle fix.
I gave her a fuss after the drone came back ;)
@@fototripper Nice one 👍
Great shots as always! Can't wait to see more of the iceberg with it's own pool. 😀
Incredible!
Beautiful

Just amazing Gavin-thank you!,,
I don't believe that was Amanda being cranky. I think it was a stand in actress. Another terrific video.

Proper! The pano was bloody gorgeous!
Great vid...and explanations....superb result. All done with Nutty Slack too.

Awesome icebergs.
Awesome awesome episode . Iceberg images out of this world . The last one could be the next apple os background image !!!
I loved the drone shots. That last berg looked like a giant crab.
Beauty shots!
STUNNING
Excellent drone work sir! The Moon and shack image is great, so is the 'berg. Good job!
Loving these iceberg episodes. 6km out on the drone, whoa mate. Bet you were glad with at came back .

Amazing views great photography
superb video again
Amazing❇
In the shot that starts at about 1:50, it almost looks like the camper is floating in the water 🤣
great stuff.
That first image is definitely book worthy, Gavin.
Also nice to hear someone use the phrase "touching cloth", when appropriate.
Blooming amaziballs my good Sir... :) it was worth the cold for our pleasure.

Having seen large pieces fall off them and also icebergs in Iceland flipping over I prefer to keep my distance.
Hi mate, you deserve 100k subscribers & more! Your iceberg photos are awesome (and the way to build such a pano!)
Very nice, Gavin 👍👍👍
Thanks for the info on shooting pano with a drone and how to deal with motion(applies to any pano). When you going to get that rear step fixed 😏
[Fishing Shack photo] Me: That is the most beautiful photo of an outhouse that I have ever seen!
Great content as always - and the photos are great as well? Silly questions: do people "board" icebergs? If so, who would be first to try, you or Amanda?
I've seen people climb them but it's super sketchy.
Seeing how cold it is, what must it be like in the Winter? I guess like living on a glacier.
Very nice, when was this shoot. Thank you
Watching your 'battery remain' made me anxious! 😰
Obviously St. Anthony was the place to be this year. Would be good if that was always the case. Maybe Twillingate next year!
love the video
Awesome as ever!!!! Love those icebergs!! What time of the year was this series made?
May

Correct. Deer Lake it was.
What about that grilled cheese? Was the second grilled cheese better than the other? Was the crusty part dark again or a nice golden brown? The suspense is nagging me.🤣
it was suitably soft in the middle and crispy on the outside with a minimum of charcoal.

I have a unrelated question. What is the title of the song used for your iceberg video? It sounds so familiar.
Iceberg chasing is to Hardcastle what Stormchasing is to Heaton.
Oh my gosh, Gavin! She was waiting for you to open the door for her. Why did you go to your door first? 😉
