If that last one isn't a calendar shot i don't know what is. Phenomenal photo!
My thoughts exactly.
I came here to say the same.
Where do I buy the ticket to get in line for the same comment?
Wonderful photo!
Haha. Let's see how the rest of the year goes.
@@ThomasHeatonPhotoHi, I found your channel a few days ago and haven't stopped watching your vids since! Keep up the AMAZING work! *Subbed*
The thing I like about Thomas the most, is that he is not one of those super hyper new-age insta photographers so mega hyped about everything, jumping around praising everything - but you get this hones comments from him - sometimes it is amazing, sometimes it is all complete rubbish and he is not painting rainbow over it. So please stay as you are, because i always have a feeling that we see you as you are and not some fake online version.
Never in all of my life has a photo moved me to tears. Last year on my 49th birthday I was gifted my first camera and it has literally changed my entire life. So I consume a great deal of images from all sorts of disciplines. The last photo in this video resonated so very deeply with me the tears just started to flow. I can not explain why. You have taught me more about photography than anyone else. Not just the technical, however also healthy mind frames and outlooks while out shooting. I appreciate you very much Mr. Heaton. Thank you for your photography and knowledge.
That's a really nice comment to read. Thank you for being so open in the comments. 🙏
Omg, the foggy lake shoot with the leafs under the water is pure art. I love it
Thanks a lot. I like it too. It keeps growing on me.
I have been watching every single video of yours since 2014, almost a decade. It's quite a journey. The Last shot of the jetty is phenomenal. I keep returning to your channel because you make us feel we are in the moment. In fact many times I feel I am a fellow traveller with you. Great Photo Great Video.
That's so nice to hear. Can't believe it's been so long.
What a cracking shot the last one! What an absolutely phenomenal way to start 2024, Tom
Oh man! That jetty shot!! Also loved the one at 9:23 :D
So talented - this guy walks on water! ❤
Hahaha
And that, ladies and gentlemen, is exactly how it's done. Fantastic shot Thomas. Thanks for letting us tag along. That's a keeper.🙏
What a beautiful shot! If I'd been there, of course I would have lost concentration and stepped off the edge :D
Honestly, that last shot of the jetty has to be one of the best photographs in your portfolio! I was very impressed that you could still see the jetty through the water - perfect touch.
That last photo of the straight jetty submerged in water was the climax of this video. Great exposure and that made it worth the trip.
Love what you said there: "..it's always a recipe for something beautiful"
Your last image was really beautiful... that needs to be in your calendar or maybe even a print available for purchase... it should end up in "a best of 2024" book.
WOW! Take the rest of the year off! It doesn’t get any better than that final image! Thanks for taking me along!
Hahaha🎉
That jetty shot has to go in your next calendar, just amazing light.
Last image was awesome, the light was just fantastic. But I'm gonna pick the 4th image as my fav here. Just love the mood of the image and the lily pads.
What a cracking shot that last photo of the jetty is! Bravo, Tom!
The last photo is jaw dropping, Thomas. Ethereal!
This is the kind of Thomas Heaton material I wait for every week. Out in the field under adverse conditions - you look like you are truly enjoying yourself. Great job!
That last shot is a pearler; heavenly. One I'd consider to purchase.
Already a candidate for photo of the year!
Stunning photo of the Jetty…I’m reminded of one of your comments from what I believe was around the end of May 2023, it’s a quote that I live by with my photography because it’s so true here what you said: “…So rare to get those perfect conditions, that you really have to come out time and time again and remember eventually it will happen…”
I love that jetty shot, well done.
The black and white with the 4 trees is amazing. The two in the back mirror the 2 in the front but just as a hint of themselves. Great. Of course that last shot. geez! Awesome.
What a great way to start the year, although I now have photographers envy!
It's been so stormy lately, a calm day with that light at the end, and to be there in the moment...
One of the best videos I have seen for a while. That final image was spectacular.
That last shot is the perfect example of the famous quote "great artists steal, bad artists imitate" you can clearly see influences of michael kenna in that shot but you have added your own style into it and created something new and different. Most other photographers would have seen that and instantly imitated michael kenna making the same photograph we have seen a million times.
Wow! The last one………One of the best photos I’ve ever seen. Just brilliant! I’ll be thinking about this image for a long time. It’s one of those once in a lifetime shots and you nailed it!
Great tip on the polarization levels! Doesn't have to be all or nothing. That little insight MADE that shot. Well done, sir!
The last shot is fantastic !!!
That last shot! No words… ❤
Setting the bar high for the year! that mist and atmospherics was amazing. That jetty shot took my breath away, sooooooo good. Dreamy AF
That jetty shot is absolutely beautiful! 🤌👏
Superb images, with great advice on using a polariser. The first location is especially popular in autumn and spring, but I wondered whether it was worth a winter visit. Definitely! Thanks for a great and inspiring video.
Man, I'm so jealous of the last location. Wonderful image, very well executed.
This is an example of why we go out and continue to explore. That last image was stunning not to mention being able to enjoy it all by yourself.
Talk about a big finish, WOW.
A Winning shot to end with Thomas.
Thanks for sharing again. Stay safe 🇦🇺
Beautiful last image! I love how you can see clearly through the shadows.
Fantastic conditions and shot! If we couldn't see the submerged jetty, it would look like the remains of an old structure, just the supports left. Such a great image. Knowing where to go and how to read conditions is just as important as any other aspect of photography and you do that well. Cheers!
Wow...what a shot!!! The last image of thet sunken jetty is outstanding. Great find and wonderful processing
The submerged jetty at the end just instilled an inner calm… bravo
Wow, Thomas. This is one of the best episodes I've ever seen. I felt your happiness and enthusiasm, and your photos are the best, especially the last one.
Glad you enjoyed it, thanks a lot.
The minimalist shot with the posts is soooo good. You found great conditions and made the most of them.
That last image was stunning. And I get to see it with minimal effort - thanks Thomas.
Some fabulous shots here. I rather like the one at 7:59 that you weren't sure about. The fog makes for some nice layering. And at 14:18, I think that would make the perfect cover for a book about your photography. But the jetty shot...now there's a home run to start your year off with!
I think that last image is one of the best photographs I’ve seen in a long time, fine art at its best. Thanks Thomas always inspirational.
I'm watching your videos for years now. The last image is unbelievable. Not taking away from the countless fantastic images over the years, just a wonderful start into 2024. Thank you.
That last shot might be your best ever. It has a haunting quality to it.
That last shot is something special! My wife isn't a photographer but she loves to sit with me and watch your videos. BTW, the high flame scenes were funny and we're glad it wasn't worse. :)
That last photo is killer. Good stuff. Thanks, Thomas.
Love that final image! You Sir, are a true inspiration.
The last photograph was amazing, well done. Simply stunning.
I love the jetty photo, but also like the drone footage of you walking on the jetty.
That last one….it doesn’t get any better!! Sweetness, without added sugar!! 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
An amazing shoot that demonstrates the importance of planning combined with intuition...you placed yourself in a position to get a shot and what a shot it is ....simply glorious!
What a way to start the year. And that last shot is just…wow.
The jetty image is superb , i love the way you've captured the little bit of light in the clouds that line up with the jetty . Definitely one of your best images .
Loving the jetty shot, everything just lines up perfectly, well executed, just the right amount of polarization, especially seeing the pier in the shadows of the posts. Definitely 1 for the printing and framing. Well captured and goes to show with determination and an open mind the shots are there to be found, true craftsmanship.
Absolutely love the closing shot... Pretty amazing given it's the first shoot of the year. Bravo!
Wow, that last shot is just stunning! Amazing conditions which you managed to capture in a superb way.
Final image, I`m asthonised how nice the outcome became. Great shot! ❤
This is a proper usage of the flooding! Amazing!
Beside the stunning final image, I really loved the aerial shot of the jetty straight down. Also, the effects on "The next morning." text were very neat! 👌 Thank You, Thomas for your work! You continue to inspire me, and have been so for over 6 years now!! Thank you!
Yes! the aerial views were beautiful!
Thanks a lot. Glad you enjoyed this one.
Wow, that last shot is perfection. Love it.🙏
That jetty shot is absolutely perfect.
Another great video Thomas. What a great start to 2024.
Great image's as usual, but the last one of the jetty was absolutely stunning and definitely one for the wall.
Great tips along the way as well.
That jetty shot is just simply amazing. Bravo!
Hard when you may have just taken the shot of the year so early. You've definitely set your 2024 bar quite high
wow! that last shot is so etherial, truly remarkable capture Thomas!
That last photo…..is out of this world
Dear Thomas, thanks for the videos, my interest in photography grew thanks to you. I started watching your channel before the pandemics in 2021.
That last shot is great! They third one is really nice too. 👌
That last shot, is just Chefs kiss
That last one of the pier was fantastic and your level of polarization was spot on.
Thank you for the video, Thomas. My wife and I watch you every Sunday afternoon.
That last image is beautiful, Thomas. 👍 Inspirational.
Might be the first trip out in 2024 but already you're setting the bar high Thomas with that final image, that was simply sublime. I hope you have a safe and productive trip in Mongolia and look forward in anticipation as to your videos and images from there.
What a great image and very lucky to be at the right time , it all came together .
That last shot MUST be the first calendar shot the posts almost appear 3D coming out of the water and the light is magical.
That final image is stunning, well done Thomas!
The final image is absolutely breathtaking, Thomas! Wow!
That one image would satisfy me for remainder of the year!
Thomas absolutely gorgeous
That last shot is definitely a 2024 calendar photograph
I agree with you Thomas - That jetty in that light shot the way you did = superb
Oh that jetty is phenomenal - beautiful shot. The conditions were a photographer’s dream and you captured them perfectly. Well done Thomas 👏👏
What an outstanding finish! A very enjoyable video to watch. And that final image is a 💭 dream
The last picture looks like a nice and simple minimalist composition.
That last photograph: WOW!!!!
I concur, that last shot is the bomb!!! Looking forward to a year of great shots from you. Glad I discovered your channel! Always watching over your shoulder from Port Angeles, WA. USA! Have a great year Thomas!
Just a great final shot. I experienced some beautiful conditions during a visit to the Lakes shortly after Storm Debi have hurtled her way across the country. I had similar conditions which left me with some great shots but the best of feelings.
These landscapes are in abundance all over Africa ….
The photo of the jetty... oh my.....love it !! What a way to begin 2024 !!
as cliche' as the jetty shot might seem, I absolutely love it. A master class on how it's done. WOW
What an absolutely cracking final image, the journey was brilliant, thank you.
Aw, that last jetty is just ace.
The last image was one of your finest! Well done.
That final shot is stunning. Everyone will be heading to Coniston now to shoot that.
I definitely feel like I need a trip to the Lake District soon.
I love all of this pictures but the last on is just unbelievable. The jetty under the water looks phenomenal!
Oh man. That straight cut line through the shadows is wicked!
My favourite type of "Thomas Heaton" video and what a shot to finish .. brilliant.
Last image💯💥💯💥💯💥WOW. And I love how you changed your mindset from trees in water to jetty. Which played to the conditions. Genius.
What a way to start the year. Thanks for this joy of a episode Thomas!
