We can understand why Aizen and Yhwach wanted to overthrow The Soul King. Ichibei is just as cunning and sinister and revealing the Soul Reapers has heels. Since deceased captains can't return to dust due to having immense Spiritual Pressure, they're sent to Hell and the seal between Hell and the World of the Living is fragile. How would Ichibei play in the Hell arc. Will he continue his plans to make Ichigo the new Soul King or does he have more twisted plans for Kazui?
It was Juha Bach who revealed there was something horrible in store for Ichigo; and his own death that ended up saving Ichigo's life. Since Juha's own corpse had enough reiatsu to be made into a new linchpin, Ichigo was no longer needed. Ichibei would've ordered him killed, or done it himself otherwise.
The problem is he sees the forest but not the entire world. What he views as something that needs to happen can be just as incorrect as anyone else. Perhaps that will be the lesson. When you act even for the best reasons you can mess up and be incorrect and sometimes you need to admit it and try change.

Ichibei doesn’t strike me as evil. He’s neutral. His job is to maintain the three realms no matter what. Just because we don’t agree with his decisions, doesn’t mean they are wrong. His responsibility is more immense than anyone else’s.

Yes, Yamamoto an his heirs, Unohana and Two others ( Remember Unohana made it inside of Central 46, then used time and space kido to leave it) are incharge of hell. In fact it could be that Yamamoto was the Original ancestor. Without those two, one to vent hell and the other to fill it with Criminals, the balance is off. Note, we do not know the fate of those killed by a zanpakuto or bankai... Like Szayerroperol was killed by Mayuri for touching and hurting Nemu, but there was more to it than just killing a foe

What I want is for you to provide a source as to where it is ever been stated Kubo is going to continue the story and create a hell arc. I keep hearing you state this over and over for literally more than a year now and that one shot is several years old to the best of my knowledge. Kubo has never once stated he was going to actively release a new story. The only thing he said was something to the effect of he does not do well if he is continually asked to do it. But that does not mean he is going to actually continue it so again, I want to know where the source of your information is coming from that you were so positive he is going to.
The whole time I was reading Bleach i was extremely frustrated that Hell was NEVER seen again after that early chapter with the gates of Hell. even when the whole balance of souls thing was being destroyed, the Hell was just chilling. and the whole thing with Ichibei power of Black was really sus and has main villain energy. im just glad that my favorite character being acknowledged

Probably Kisuke? The guy was a captain, praised by Aizen himself to be his equal in power (before he fused with the Hogyoku) and superior in intellect. He seems willing to use his own allies to get what he wants, like when he forcibly turned Yoruichi into her cat goddess form or whatever it's called, and he accepts the status quo of the world. So he's got the power, intellect, and aligned with the goal of the Zero Division in maintaining the state of the current world would make him the best candidate. I suppose Kyoraku would also be fine, but he's already the captain of the Gotei 13 while Kisuke is pretty much unemployed as far as Shinigami are concerned. As for the Zero Division roster, Yoruichi, Isshin, Love, and Tessai could fit, what with them being former captains. Tessai wasn't a captain in the Gotei 13 but he was the previous Kidō Commander and Grand Kidō Chief of the Kidō Corp, so he held a similar position. The four of them hadn't been reinstated into Soul Society's military forces if I recall and Isshin's children are already adults so they probably don't need him anymore. Whether they want to serve the role of Zero Division is another matter entirely.

Kisuke was the same person who brought Mayuri out of the maggots nest (an individual that’s done some horrific things but that’s not for this discussion). I’m not saying Kisuke is a bad person, but like Ichibei he takes a look at the bigger picture and that’s the point I’m making. As for the other candidates you mentioned for squad zero, you don’t just put people there because you like them. What have these people contributed to soul society? Yoruichi is strong but not strong enough to be in squad zero, Isshin too. Love and Tessai are fodder, in the source material we probably hadn’t even seen Tessai for about a hundred chapters, and it’s not like he had any huge battles in previous arcs to begin with, so also no.

Though admittedly, part of why I chose them is because they're former captains who are unemployed (I'm referring to them not being reinstated in Soul Society, I know Kisuke owns a candy shop and Isshin runs a clinic) and I thought it'd be funny to give them new jobs 😝. But in all seriousness. Kisuke may have been one of the younger captains, but age doesn't automatically equate to knowledge. Aizen was younger than Kyoraku but is way more knowledgeable about the truth of the world than he was. Kisuke likewise found out about the true nature of the Soul King, yet he decided to stick with the status quo. He may not be as ruthless as Ichibe, but that just means that he might lead Zero Division and go about things more differently to maintain balance. Yoruichi and Isshin belonged to two of the great noble families, the ancestors of which are responsible for the current state of the world. Though they weren't exactly important based on contributions, they were important in terms of lineage. Tessai is an odd one. Kuruyashiki said he can fight Shikai and Bankai with Kidō alone and 100 or so years ago he had skills that rivalled Kisuke. Love is fodder, but he was a Hollowfied Shinigami. It's a shame that the Visoreds were absolutely shafted, but he was one of the most important test subjects on Aizen's road to transcendence. That and, I think it's implied that Squad Zero's cosmic shaking power was due to both the Soul King, who gave them the Ōken, and their rituals that combined their own contributions and the power of the Soul King that permeated the palace, so they could potentially be boosted to fulfill their roles. Unless you think Oetsu, Senjumaru, Tenjiro and Hikifune wielded cosmic shaking power before becoming members of the Zero Division, though if Mayuri's Kidō feat in the novel is anything to go by, inter-dimensional range is actually not too far fetched for captain class Shinigami that are experts in Kidō.

Hell overruns soul society, and aizen. And as a last ditch effort, they kill the corpse of the soul king(yhwach) and fuse the three worlds eliminating death and closing the gates of hell.

I kind of wonder if Ichibei's power over black would actually have any authority in Hell? In the original source material Ichibei never mentions Hell when saying how all black is his. So could it be possible he doesn't have power over the names of those that got sent there or the names of those that originate there.
They are immortal aslong as the royal palace remains thanks to the Ouken. And on top of that Ichibei's own power overs names makes him immortal by being able to get revived with someone simply calling his name. He has 2 immortalities stacked on each other.

I think it's only a million years for Soul society history... Though even that's long enough to raise questions about how the oldest spiritual beings are apparently fully modern humans, the Society being a weird blend of Feudal Japan and modernity... and leaves a lot of confusion about how the Gotei is so much younger than the Royal Guard as an institution(Yamamoto found his academy 2000 years ago, and unless I miss something, the original Gotei 13 were all active 1000 years ago, how wwas the balance being maintained for the other 998,000 years before Yamamoto established the academy and Gotei?) Then again, the whol balance of souls and the number of souls being constant kind of flies in the face of population growth if we are to assume the world of the living is a mirror of the real world. Granted, the million year line was in a context that felt more metaphorical for a really long time rather than a literal statement.

I honestly don't see him being a villain. More similar to how the soul king functioned. He's a necessary good but also a necessary evil that must be had in order to properly balance the world. Essentially he is the soul king in the flesh and is willing to separate himself from the morality to do what's needed in order to maintain reality.
My Guess. The Hell Layer is the Outer Most Shell of reality, protecting the inner contents from what lies BEYOND. The lower layers of Hell are the layers closer to the Edge which are likely influenced by contamination and corruption from what lies BEYOND, making it worse than the inner, upper layers. The Soul King and other ANCIENT Unknowable beings might be visitors from BEYOND that decided to call dibs on this reality and make it their home, only for the Soul King to get betrayed.

Why didn't the ancestors who imprisoned the soul king not create a different realm for the good guys (the captains) and a bad realm (for Aizen or the Espadas)? Also, what happens to Quincy's? Are they just like soul reapers, so when they die, they also go to hell (the strong ones at least) and the weaker ones get recycled and sent back to the soul society? I just find it stupid that the elders/ancestors would put the good guys and bad guys together. I hate that Ichibe gets called evil for preserving existence, which is his job. If he said “nah I like ichigo” over the balance of the world, why is he here. His ability to do what needs to be done despite personal feelings should be commended more than condemned. If the world was ending today and today is all you have, you would have to make the decision of dooming one person or all of existence, you would pick that one person. There’s no fairytale ending where a deus ex machina comes out of nowhere to give you an alternative all the time and it’s risky to even sit around and wait for one to show up.

I keep hearing you state this over and over for literally more than a year now and that one shot is several years old to the best of my knowledge. Kubo has never once stated he was going to actively release a new story.
The only thing he said was something to the effect of he does not do well if he is continually asked to do it. But that does not mean he is going to actually continue it so again, I want to know where the source of your information is coming from that you were so positive he is going to.
The whole time I was reading Bleach i was extremely frustrated that Hell was NEVER seen again after that early chapter with the gates of Hell. even when the whole balance of souls thing was being destroyed, the Hell was just chilling. and the whole thing with Ichibei power of Black was really sus and has main villain energy. im just glad that my favorite character being acknowledged

Probably Kisuke? The guy was a captain, praised by Aizen himself to be his equal in power (before he fused with the Hogyoku) and superior in intellect. He seems willing to use his own allies to get what he wants, like when he forcibly turned Yoruichi into her cat goddess form or whatever it's called, and he accepts the status quo of the world. So he's got the power, intellect, and aligned with the goal of the Zero Division in maintaining the state of the current world would make him the best candidate. I suppose Kyoraku would also be fine, but he's already the captain of the Gotei 13 while Kisuke is pretty much unemployed as far as Shinigami are concerned.
As for the Zero Division roster, Yoruichi, Isshin, Love, and Tessai could fit, what with them being former captains. Tessai wasn't a captain in the Gotei 13 but he was the previous Kidō Commander and Grand Kidō Chief of the Kidō Corp, so he held a similar position. The four of them hadn't been reinstated into Soul Society's military forces if I recall and Isshin's children are already adults so they probably don't need him anymore. Whether they want to serve the role of Zero Division is another matter entirely.

Kisuke is relatively one of the younger captains, he’s smart and knowledgeable but doesn’t have as much knowledge on the world as Ichibei does. Btw do you remember that Kisuke was the one who put the Hogyoku in Rukia in the first place thereby further draining her soul reapers powers? Kisuke was the same person who brought Mayuri out of the maggots nest (an individual that’s done some horrific things but that’s not for this discussion). I’m not saying Kisuke is a bad person, but like Ichibei he takes a look at the bigger picture and that’s the point I’m making.
As for the other candidates you mentioned for squad zero, you don’t just put people there because you like them. What have these people contributed to soul society? Yoruichi is strong but not strong enough to be in squad zero, Isshin too. Love and Tessai are fodder, in the source material we probably hadn’t even seen Tessai for about a hundred chapters, and it’s not like he had any huge battles in previous arcs to begin with, so also no.

I didn't place them because of preferences. Though admittedly, part of why I chose them is because they're former captains who are unemployed (I'm referring to them not being reinstated in Soul Society, I know Kisuke owns a candy shop and Isshin runs a clinic) and I thought it'd be funny to give them new jobs 😝.

Kisuke may have been one of the younger captains, but age doesn't automatically equate to knowledge. Aizen was younger than Kyoraku but is way more knowledgeable about the truth of the world than he was. Kisuke likewise found out about the true nature of the Soul King, yet he decided to stick with the status quo. He may not be as ruthless as Ichibe, but that just means that he might lead Zero Division and go about things more differently to maintain balance.
Yoruichi and Isshin belonged to two of the great noble families, the ancestors of which are responsible for the current state of the world. Though they weren't exactly important based on contributions, they were important in terms of lineage. Tessai is an odd one. Kuruyashiki said he can fight Shikai and Bankai with Kidō alone and 100 or so years ago he had skills that rivalled Kisuke. Love is fodder, but he was a Hollowfied Shinigami. It's a shame that the Visoreds were absolutely shafted, but he was one of the most important test subjects on Aizen's road to transcendence. That and, I think it's implied that Squad Zero's cosmic shaking power was due to both the Soul King, who gave them the Ōken, and their rituals that combined their own contributions and the power of the Soul King that permeated the palace, so they could potentially be boosted to fulfill their roles. Unless you think Oetsu, Senjumaru, Tenjiro and Hikifune wielded cosmic shaking power before becoming members of the Zero Division, though if Mayuri's Kidō feat in the novel is anything to go by, inter-dimensional range is actually not too far fetched for captain class Shinigami that are experts in Kidō.

I don't think ichibei with send any more to h3ll. because it was because 3 powerful captains that was to h3ll that tip the scales. unless that is what he did with the og soul king and used him as the sealer. then that would lead to Ichigo or his son as the next sealer. og soul king was the linchpin to the three realms. maybe ichibei and the 5 og clan members used the og soul king to seal h3ll. side note: i think ichibei is a beinging from h3ll and he is modeling souls to be like h3ll or on the same par level to take over and he'll reign.

I think it's only a million years for Soul society history... Though even that's long enough to raise questions about how the oldest spiritual beings are apparently fully modern humans, the Society being a weird blend of Feudal Japan and modernity... and leaves a lot of confusion about how the Gotei is so much younger than the Royal Guard as an institution(Yamamoto found his academy 2000 years ago, and unless I miss something, the original Gotei 13 were all active 1000 years ago, how wwas the balance being maintained for the other 998,000 years before Yamamoto established the academy and Gotei?)
Then again, the whol balance of souls and the number of souls being constant kind of flies in the face of population growth if we are to assume the world of the living is a mirror of the real world.

I honestly don't see him being a villain. More similar to how the soul king functioned. He's a necessary good but also a necessary evil that must be had in order to properly balance the world. Essentially he is the soul king in the flesh and is willing to separate himself from the morality to do what's needed in order to maintain reality.

The Hell Layer is the Outer Most Shell of reality, protecting the inner contents from what lies BEYOND. The lower layers of Hell are the layers closer to the Edge which are likely influenced by contamination and corruption from what lies BEYOND, making it worse than the inner, upper layers. The Soul King and other ANCIENT Unknowable beings might be visitors from BEYOND that decided to call dibs on this reality and make it their home, only for the Soul King to get betrayed.

Why didn't the ancestors who imprisoned the soul king not create a different realm for the good guys (the captains) and a bad realm (for Aizen or the Espadas)? Also, what happens to Quincy's? Are they just like soul reapers, so when they die, they also go to hell (the strong ones at least) and the weaker ones get recycled and sent back to the soul society? I just find it stupid that the elders/ancestors would put the good guys and bad guys together. Like Yamamoto would be chillin in hell being at peace that this is where he's going to be, but the bad guys, of course, they're gonna want to go back, escape hell.
