Amy was a friend of mine. We lived near each other and drank in same pub and played pool together. Amy was the most beautiful person you could meet. Sadly hassle from the media and getting involved with the wrong crowd led her to drink and drug abuse that sadly took her life. I miss her daily. R.I.P Amy.

No..actually she was used in the 27 club. Deal with the devil the Hollywierd elite controllers made. She like many have died at 27. Not a conspiracy. This deal is over with now. But other deals are made & stars are sacrificed in many ways.

To this day, I still can’t listen to Amy Winehouse’s music without shedding tears.
Her death is one of the most tragic in music history, and if you know her story you’ll feel what I feel.
Watch the movie Documentary “Amy,” and you’ll see that she never really had a chance.
No one was on her side and no one really had her back.
An alcoholic, heroin and cocaine addict with bulimia, without a support system is unfortunately on numbered days.
She was such a sweetheart, and a unique soul. The members of the 27 club are never forgotten and forever legends, but there is just something about the loss of Amy that will forever be a crying shame.
    R.I.P. Amy Jade Winehouse. 1983-2011

I adored Amy 💔 Her music got me through some dark times. I’ll never forget the day she died - I cried for days.....I couldn’t stop.
I always weep when I watch this video....’Back to Black’ was my favourite Amy song 🖤
She was an one off - her voice, her lyrics, her soul and that unbelievably, raw, emotional connection was truly unique. A talent you couldn’t begin to describe - she could sing anything & make it magical. Some of her covers were better than the originals. Donny Hathaway’s ‘I Love You More Than You’ll Ever Know’ - th-cam.com/video/362JArvhAqg/w-d-xo.html - mesmerising, haunting and such emotive vocals...basically what she did best.
Tragic is an understatement. May her sweet soul Rest In Peace 💔

Ironically enough, Adele and Amy Winehouse actually both went to the same school - and they went onto become good friends. Adele has said she credit "90% of (her) career" to Winehouse as it was Amy who inspired her to learn guitar and write songs.

It's harder in faster music, but some manage it: Christina Aguilera, So Hyang, Morrisette Amon, Celine Dion, Sharon den Adel, Chiara Tricarico, Floor Jansen sometimes ("How's the Heart" acoustic in particular), Emma Heesters ("Vivo por Lei"), and of course the truly great Lara Fabian & Dimash himself.

The sad part for those around during that time was we could see it all unraveling right before us. The tabloids were ruthless. She could barely leave her house. The images of her struggles were plastered everywhere and a lot of it was truly shocking. Her ascension was like a rocket ship; the crash was rapid and devastating. We knew it was going to end badly. When it happened it wasn't a surprise but incredibly sad nonetheless.

She always explained in her interviews that a lot of the reasons that she sang like that and those types of songs is because of the music that her parents mostly her dad, had her listening to growing up. All kinds of old jazz, r&b, blues all of it, all of the good stuff. So that's what she grew up singing that's how she learned how to sing. Actually think it had a lot to do with why she liked the bouffant hairstyles.

The saddest Amy Winehouse song was Love Is A Losing Game. It's hard to listen to it and not feel the conviction that she knew, on some level, that she was doomed.
Even though it's not really 'my' music, and while I'd be the first to concede that she was largely the author of her own downfall, I still felt Amy's death very deeply. Guys at work would bring tabloid newspapers in, and for a few years it seemed like she was never off the front pages. You got the impression that their editors had 'smelt' a juicy, scandal-fuelled tragedy in the making, and had her obituary pre-written out in their desk drawers, with the date and age left blank. I got terribly invested in the idea that she was going to beat them all, come through the other side of her troubles and keep singing into a rebellious and disreputable old age. Sadly, it was not to be, and having to admit that the tabloid editors were right all along was one of the most deeply depressing feelings I've ever had about somebody that I didn't know personally. RIP Amy. :-(

Amy’s problem was that she couldn’t say no. From booze to heroin to crack cocaine and she did it all in front of the press. Somebody, manager, record company, her parents should have intervened.

    • @MrHws5mp
      @MrHws5mp 3 ปีที่แล้ว +13

@@SvenTviking Her father tried repeatedly to save her: the song 'Rehab' is literally about him doing that. The tragic thing is that she actually HAD beaten her drug addiction, but she kept relapsing on alcohol and that, combined with physical weakness due to bulimia and lung problems, was what took her out.

As for intervention, I remember how Steven Tyler and Joe Perry of Aerosmith kept off the smack. They actually employed a cop to follow them on tour and arrest them if he saw them with any drugs!

She worked on music since a child. She writes most of her songs based on her life, she played jazz guitar very well and then there is that voice. She idolized the jazz greats and added some other genre's, too. Tony Bennet did a duet with her and said she was his favorite singer ever. WOW. She won SONG OF THE Year for this song. You should see her reaction when she did, it's so emotionally raw. Would suggest seeing the documentary on her " AMY" ( make sure you get the one doc with just this name) which tells her story pretty well AND you get to hear more music, see her perform, hear her issues, etc. Basically she was too fragile for the full on fame she got. RIP Amy
