After returning to the Football League in 2015, the past two seasons have been a struggle, but a successful struggle for London's Barnet, avoiding relegation to the Non-League with successive 15th place finishes. Akinde's goalscoring prowess has proved vital for the Bees notching 49 league goals in 2 seasons. improving on his 2015/16 total of 23 (24 in all comps), with 26 in 2016/17.
