In this video we unbox and fully assemble the Lifetime 46" Basketball Hoop. This one adjusts from 8ft to 10ft, with a few settings in between. It has a clear backboard and the base can fill with water or with sand. Overall, it's in the lower tier of pricing for portable goals, but the quality is top notch in our opinion. The instructions are pretty good, but definitely some difficult spots, and you'll for sure need at least 2 people to assemble this. This video was a lifesaver! I bought this morning and started slowly putting it together by myself was able to get it done before the kids got home!

I just got this hoop, everywhere we went with our 6 year old to shoot baskets all had 10 foot rims and wouldn’t lower them for us. So I decided to get one for my patio. It was a little but tricky getting some of the bolts through the holes and my dad kept talking to me while I was reading the manual, but we figured it out. Pretty nice hoop, my son loves it, it’s given him so much confidence! Plus I get to practice my dunks on the 8 foot rim lol

Great video man! I just bought one for our house and saw the end where y'all were taking shots and every ball was hitting the platform and I was like oh no....glad you made a follow-up video explaining it was backwards! hate when i do that haha

Was able to install rim myself easily by using a table. Had the back board face down and brought rim from under.

For the first part assembly the pole , does it have to cover the slots when screwing?

Thanks for this! My backboard had a bolt get lost- do you know how long the bolt/screw at timemark 13:44 is? Trying to figure out how to find a replacement. And do you know if I need a drill for it, or if it can be put in by hand? Thanks!
You shouldn’t have to pre drill anything, and those don’t look to be longer than 1-1/4” to 1-1/2” but I don’t have the instructions to verify that. Thanks for reaching out!

I got everything together okay but installed the folded plastic piece upside down lol..the goal will only lower go to 9 ft because of it. Did you leave this piece out? Thinking about it. I believe it only reads out the goal height and nothing more.

@8:05 in your video we had the hardest time trying to get those 2 screws in finally gave up on it after 2 hours of trying. Not sure what I’m doing wrong
Yeah that slowed me down a bit too.. not sure if you figured it out, but basically hold the receiving side in hard with one hand around it while you screw in the bolt on the other side.

Was anyone else's backboard bent a little? It's almost like to get those 2 screws into the (bracket 2 backboard) it has to bend a little.
I put them in last night and it started raining then came out today and I swear the backboard is even more bent now!...

The locking bolt for the pole and brackets on base will keep going in crooked, any help ?

Is that base supposed to be turned backward so it doesn't interfere with doing layups?
I accidentally installed the base the wrong way, ended up doing a 2nd video on swapping it if you made the mistake also - but yeah, it def shouldn’t be in the way at the ground.

Make tutorials assuming we don’t have those tools that you do
Or I make tutorials with the tools that I have because those are the tools that I have to build the thing that I bought to build. Sometimes you have to work with what you have. Sometimes you have to be creative. There’s no way for me to make videos based on what every other person on earth happens to have or not have in their garage.

Yeah, feels pretty solid. It’s not a large as a pro goal / gym goal but it’s good and you can land some solid bank shots on it too, it’s sturdy enough for us.

How do you adjust the height
You press up behind the backboard, lifting up the goal and it has a slide type locking mechanism, so it will “latch” at different intervals of height. Hard to explain written out.. apologies I didn’t show that better in the video. We used a broom stick to raise and lower from the ground.
Help i cant get this to latch at 10 ft it wont stay! But it will latch at 8 ft Anyone else have that issue😢

Decent size, probably need a truck I’d say 90% sure. I don’t have the exact dimensions on hand unfortunately.

Hey everyone, has anyone been succesful cleaning the clear plastic?
Mine hasn’t yet begun to get bad looking but I wonder if it would clean up similar to a car headlight?? If mine ever does get ugly I’ll try to make a video about cleaning it up, could be fun! Good luck!
