Unfortunately 10 volume peroxide is for deposit and does not lift well, use 20 or more. If you are not sure how it will take, do a strand test on a small amount of hair to adjust your formula to your hair color needs. Yes, you can color your long hair; it just needs to be maintained and retouched; if you have the time to keep it up, then why not?
It is done the same way that is done for any kind of hair; use the foil weave and alternate bleach and darker color. We have videos like that in this channel. The only caution is that textured hair is more fragile and needs more attention; so check the foils periodically for color development and keep the hair integrity intact. Condition for healthy looking hair.
Love love this video. He is so knowledgeable and explained it easy way. Can you share video of stripping hair from level under 3 to 5,6,7 or 8. And what toner/developer should use. Thanks!
I am enjoying your videos with this guest speaker. Very informative, but just didn't understand why a demi on the bottom and permanent on the rest? I heard him say when he goes darker he likes to use a demi, but weren't all the colors darker than the natural level 9 she had?
I love this guy, he's such a good teacher. the hair is shiiiiiinyyyyyy 0_0 , I would love to use this technique for a brown coloring. Would this technique look nice on longer hair? like 12+ inches, passed the shoulders. Also, when I use bleach can I just use a 10 volume and still get the max amount of lift while saving the integrity of the hair?
I know this is an older video but im wondering why he choose 20vol and permanent color when the hair was a level 9 and took it to a level 5....hum.....just curious....love to learn and i think it looked really cool! Thanks for all your videos
He used a demi permanent color and six vol developer to get to that red violet 5 - only on top he deposited color with 10 vol, but it still was with a demi permanent color
Also (I'm just commenting as I watch) I will never pay for a full foil if he only did partial highlights on the top. Maybe at the type of salon he works at they can get away with it but I will not be ripped off like that.
Ahhh!! I love this man!♡ such an amazing instructor!!

I dont know, its a nice color but in some ways I feel like its a touch dated. Either way it was a good video though because the information was good.
