- First good low tide in some time. Not many good targets. As I pick up some trash off the beach , I notice it's a bag of cash! Best find of 2020 so far !

When I was a kid we had a beach in Delaware called "coin beach". It was a beach where after a storm or heavy winds that blew away sand, they used to find gold and silver coins sitting on top of little sand pedestals like mushrooms. This was like in the early and mid seventies.

Nice find$$$!!! Those 2 shells you found are called olive shells.I remember collecting them as a kid cause my dad showed me how nice of a gloss it has once its dried.There usually all in perfect shape. Happy and good luck finding that gold and diamonds rings!!!

Ah! A man at peace, just him and his metal detector…. Just how I used to be for around 20 years, until , two broken legs then old age caught up with me…. There us nothing like , being alone, on a huge beach, finding things or not…. The discovery of the dollars was a well deserved bonus….a great video…thank you !

GREAT Video and wonderful hunt. Fantastic find with that cash. I've come across a few fives and tens while detecting, but nothing like that. I enjoyed the whole video, and I especially appreciate the way you respect the beach and fill in the holes. You are a credit to the hobby.
Hi FenderStrat19711 , thank you . When I saw the $5 note on the outside I figured a few $1's under it. I was a little bit surprised to see that much. I feel for who ever lost it . I will put it to good use. I always try to fill my holes . Sometimes in the surf , I cant fill them because the surf takes the sand away. But they fill in fast with the waves. I Dig Daytona I totally agree. When you were digging the holes along the surfline, the waves pretty much fill the holes in for you. But when you’re digging in the dry sand you do it yourself. It’s so important that we be good ambassadors to the hobby, so I wanted to compliment you on the great job you’re doing. Stay safe and be well and keep finding treasure! I'd love to do this. The last time I walked on that beach they hadn't invented metal detectors like the one you have. That was more than 70 years ago. I was born in Daytona and my grandmother took me to the beach almost every day.
Hi Bill , I also have fond childhood memories of Daytona . My first time to Daytona was in I believe 1965 . When I see the little kids running around , I tell their parents they will remember this for the rest of their lives . I was once a little kid running around on Daytona and never forgot it . Metal detecting is a great hobby and if you are able to get out you should give it a try . Thanks for watching .

At 16:39 that piece you found is a metal crimp on monofilament leader line. It’s super clear and hard in heavier weights so it can look like glass. Used for fishing leaders - new to channel but loved the adventure! Thank you!

Great video I bought a car in the 80s needed a little bit of work, So when I got it home I noticed one of the rear blinkers was not working so i took the plastic panels off in the Trunk compartment There was a plastic bag in it was Cash $467 to be exact, My wife was sitting in the front seat, I said I just found a bag of money !! She says Yeah Right ! ! Looking in the rearview mirror I fanned it She couldn't believe it .

Brian, WHAT a score, holy smokes!!! Awesome. I found a $20 bill in a park right after I got my 705 three years ago and thought that was a score!!!! Congrats! And the tides have been super low over here also. Hunted St. Pete Beach (1st time their) on Saturday afternoon and actually got a ring at the edge of the surf in about 3" of water (costume). Also got a small silver ring and a HUGE cross and chain in the dry sand (cross costume also), but a dang good day. Clearwater Mike and I are heading to Clearwater beach sometime this week with Spring Break here.

@@idigdaytona4478 Yes, that’s what makes them so cool. That shiny coat makes them look like they were manufactured by humans. I found one when I was a kid on vacation, in Fort Myers, shortly after hurricane Camille went through.
Fort Myers was getting big waves. I had one of those shells in my hand and got hit by a big wave and it knocked it right out of my hand. I lost the shell. ☹️😢

A friend and me were in Tampa and found a bong on the beach with dang near an ounce of bud. Luckily it was far enough away from the water. It enhanced our trip dearly !!!

I loved picking shells when I was young but when I grew up I found out that the old shells should be left because animals reuse them

Possible cone snail? Be careful, and keep digging.
There are centuries worth of shells and fossils in the ocean, literally more zeroes behind that number than can be counted.
It's still ok to take a few empty shells home.

Be a little careful with the shells. There’s a variety of cone snail (?) that can be poisonous/deadly. Not sure if they’re on our coast but a little research never hurts. Besides, we’re getting all kinds of new species in Florida because of some irresponsible pet owners. Happy Hunting, Melbourne.

Hi Don , glad you are enjoying the channel. The long drive is why I don't often drive down to the treasure coast. It's 2.5 hours each way. That's a lot of driving for a few hours of detecting. Stay safe out there and thanks for watching.
