- Jake comes home to tell Megan about her mother’s resignation. Megan is stunned at this turn of events, and heads to Llanfair to check in on Viki. Max goes to his old house and is flooded with memories of Gabrielle. Julia comes downstairs to find him there. He tells Julia he got a bid on the house this morning and he accepted it. He tells Julia that he hopes Gabrielle does get her sentence reduced or suspended, but even if she does, the two of them are done. Asa arrives in time to hear the last part, and is happy to learn Max is through with Gabrielle. Asa goads Julia and Julia responds by threatening that Gabrielle has the power to destroy Asa and his family. When prodded, she claims she was just lashing out and she meant that Gabrielle can see through the Buchanan’s phony facade to their true nature. Asa is unsettled by the threats nonetheless. Looking for comfort, Alex kisses Bo, but she pulls away and apologizes for using him to bury her feelings. DuAnn tells Julia they need to talk, and she threatens to let the cat out of the bag if Julia doesn’t comply. They set a meeting for later today. Clint comes home with a bouquet of flowers. He asks Kevin where Viki is, as he hopes to ask her why she resigned. Kevin says she tried to talk to him this morning, but he disappeared. Clint gets defensive and says his whereabouts are his own business. He apologizes for snapping at his son and says he was off chasing a story, but it fell through.
Alex replaces a framed photo of her father with a picture of Bo. Max offers to sell Jake the house instead of his cash buyer, but Jake blanches at the offered price: $150k. Jake isn’t comfortable using Megan’s income to secure a mortgage. Julia writes to Gabrielle and tells her she was able to get into her house and steal the genuine letters from Max’s mother along with the ones she had forged. DuAnn arrives and jumps right into her blackmail pitch: Julia is to pay her $5,000 by tomorrow or she’ll ensure Max-and by association Al-is disinherited by Asa. After she leaves Julia’s apartment, DuAnn calls her daughter, LeeAnn Demerest (Yasmine Bleeth), and tells to come visit Llanview. Megan returns home to a romantic, candlelit dinner. Megan seems pretty surprised, but Jake says ever since everyone made fun of him on Badderly, he’s been reading cookbooks and practicing cooking when she isn’t home. Clint calls his lady friend, whom he calls Sondra, and says he’s feeling guilty about lying to Viki. Sondra says he has the option to tell her the truth. She acknowledges it will be painful at first but best for everyone in the long run. Clint hears Viki’s car in the driveway, and Sondra asks what he plans to do.

I know Gabrielle 4 ever carried jdps actual head shot in her wallet for years in her wallet. The one in the opening lol. Also she & max were enemies but in prison she had a photo of her al & max looking so happy. They didn't bother to just take some candids to throw up. Plus Joe landos head shot in the opening could not have been the most flattering of a gorgeous guy like that. Megan looks amazing In her head shot. I loved that opening for years. The horrific one of the sheets was so bad. Oltl was always great about their head shots.

Duann was such a batalax. She blackmailed everyone. U dont know why carlo didnt go after her when she started threatening renee who was the one person he wanted out of the picture. Also her thing about gabs getting a marriage settlement if asa kicks um shes in prison & im sure max got a fast divorce as she was in prison.

Damn! the last of the Rauch era badass girls is gone. At least Gabrielle had a good run. Tina had a good run until Andrea had to leave. Unfortunately Maria Robert's run was cut short. She could have had a longer run. Because she is the mother of a main player she could have gone head to head with plenty of peope including Dorian and all the Cramer gals. She could have helped Gabrielle carry the show when Andrea left and then held it down after Fiona left.

Not exactly. It is the ladies who fall for his brand of chivalry. Plus, if Sarah and the women who played them, had never left, bo and Sarah would have had challenges that surrounded their love story. The stories would have impacted them. It would not have been that something was wrong with them and they were separated
@@xaviercrain7336weren't bo & Sarah back but someone hit hee w/ a car & Nora thought it was or something. I think Bob woods thought Sarah was his soul mate as he really sold that pairing seemed his happiest. Jensen left for awhile at this point & bo is still moping. Why they didn't try Alex I don't know but it was odd how they were seeming to pair them then his bizarre pairing w/ Cassie. Anyway as soon as Sarah recast returned he left Cassie right at the altar after. Then they started an immediate pairing w/ Nora. He started to turn on her in 97 w/ the holden kidnapping. I thought the 2 had too many conflicts to recover from. She hated drew he didn't trust her to simply say georgie was nuts. They had so many conflicts of interest her as a lawyer he the commissioner. Asa seemed to love her most. He left her the mansion. Asa of all people was willing to hide that Nora slept w/ Sam to pass off the baby as bos which it was. Things got crazy from there Nora & Lindsey's insta fued her & bo getting married 2x while Nora stormed both weddings. Gabrielle sacrificed so bo couod mourn. He really went from pairing to pairing Melanie was awful some dr Gabrielle & him were loved by many & bo became the love of her life. When they had recast Clint marry Nora that was bizarre. That never would have happened w/ CR plus bo was OK w/ it. Clint was raising bos son at least he was involved. Then bo & Nora getting back & evil Clint held a grudge for years & tried to have Nora attacked & kidnapped by a pychotic bo holding a shot gun on Clint. I don't recall if they made peace. I also think Asa left Nora the mansion b/c she had matthew. Plus Asa loved the women who had careers like Alex & Nora. If Alex didn't dump Asa as well I think he'd gave stated w/ her. Even though she went looney he was pushing for her & bo b/c she was pretty a lawyer & a fed. I get it. Then when Blair & Asa went kaput Alex was asas only much younger bride who really dug him. I'm sorry but when would Asa ever marry " that she wolf" Gabrielle. I get it was too hurt max but he really tossed her away which I didn't get as she did all he asked of her. Which was an odd revenge he wanted her to sleep w/ max so they could frame him. That's also when bo & Asa fell out badly. Bo lived in that little garret house. Anyway in the end the love of clints life was viki. Evil Clint should have been a long lost son or something b/c he was nothing near Clint. Clint could be pushy angry loud even mean but not a criminal who would ever poach his brothers ex wife. I'd rather have seen Nora w/ anyone but Clint. Asas love of his life was Renee. Again Alex he seemed to have so much fun w/ & married her 2x & she really seemed to love him. I remember him

I mean, they broke up one of the show's most prominent couples, Clint and Viki. Apparently, they believed you can't make a marriage challenging with real problems, other than the usual infidelity.
I don't think Sarah would cheat on Bo, or he her, but then I never thought Viki would cheat on Clint either.
@@BethHarmon-uv7tl I have to admit that Viki and Clint had an amazing relationship full of struggles in their soap opera marriage.
I think the way Bo and Sara were treated as a super couple was a bit ridiculous. After she returned and the story about them getting back together ended on her death, it was like the couple is too heavenly to make a soap opera out of. Their story was like a miniseries for tv. That said, infidelity is not the only way to challenge a marriage. There might be trouble with conception of children. There could be past relationship that come to trouble the waters. But so much could have been done. On a half hour soap it is more likely driven by soaps and suds than real struggles. But on an hour long soap, Bo and Sara could have been back burned and the separate characters could have been there for friends and family.
As to Viki and Clint, after Roger, I have to admit even when the family had their financial woes, the couple seemed not as together as all that.
Julia should have blown up maxs buke spot as he really did erase her fast. She started w/ the $$ stuff b/c max was broke & had medical bills no insurance & he tried to start the intruder w/ dorian until it had some accident. Plus she gave andy her half of the bar. I wish gabs just went back to her designing clothes or gotten a job at frat row designing gowns. Julia was about to blow the secret then she lets duann blackmail her over what she should have told. Julia did nothing wrong & now her only relative al is about to be taken over by asa & max who didnt need to kick her when her daughter just got 15 years b/c if i recall she was terrified to cut a deal & put carlo away. I love these eps just wish i knew what made gabrielle confess or be told to plead guilty. Did tony even give in the vile plus i doubt it had her prints. Herb even said they had nothing. Never got why carlos lawyer even told her to plead guilty. Wasnt she only on trial for hiding a tape. Which honestly julia should have let her burn the thing. Johnny was dead so nobody knew she was feeding info about the baby.
Gabrielle made her own bed, she had to lay in it. Although I think Carlo should have went to prison along with her.
Unless Carlo threatened Gabby over Al and Max, which I suppose is possible, we just didn't get to see it. If that is the case, then I guess Gabby did get the raw deal, but perhaps this is karma (albeit a little bit late) for the pain she caused Brenda, and inadvertently Michael by switching the babies (Brenda thinking her son was dead and Michael having to give the baby up eventually after the whole thing was exposed).
Omg jake max would have let you match the bid put down like 10% which megan easily had to sell the loft. It actually is being macho to get that dump instead of letting megan help & jake could always keep at his p.i. buisness to help later. Geez viki is loaded. Asa loved jake & megan its his sons step daughter jake helped to save his family so many times. I know later he does make the house a home but why not live at the loft then in comfort while jake did his fixer upper. Max also couldnt afford the house hes im sure making great money. Jake was being silly. I guess he also worried what the bukes thought a real man must support his woman. Please ! Clint lives in vikis house! His job is only cause of viki. Yea he works hard but again im sure asa would have floated them a loan. Megan probably has the $$ to pay or billionaire viki couldnt float them a loan. The woman owns llainfair & the banner. It just creeped me out megan had to live in that haunted house w/ no utilities & holes in the sealing. Cant wait for the max secret to blow. Ironic al & max were rivals & he later adopts al as a teen & gabrielle marries bo. Jake should be a chef or work at andys.
I thought Gabrielle died before she married Bo.
Never liked the two of them together. Especially remember her testifying against Bo at his murder trial to cover her own sorry ass over the baby switch (which Austin was blackmailing her over).
