So I ordered that same computer with 8Gb ram and decided to upgrade it to 16gb, now the laptop won’t power on even when connected to power, it won’t boot up like not even a light pops up

it happens to everyone dont worry its not just you its because the components need power when playing games battery cant supply as much power as the charger supplies and so it lags when not charging
@@lets6957 id suggest the one with lower latency bcs it will increase performance. the difference isnt gonna be too much but its gonna be better overall

32 GBs of RAM, 2 TBs of disk space, being 1 TB of NVME.
This is basically a mobile Server.
Recently, I maxed out the RAM of my third generation I5 to 16 GBs, and changed the standard drive to a SSD. Awesome results!

very nice tutorial. Headsup: 32gb doesnt mean better fps. if you're lucky, maybe 1fps in some cases, also its 2400mhz, the ram that comes with these are 2933mhz.. so the only performance increase is the more ram and it now has more capacity for stuff in the background.

11:05 the wifi card is under the nvme ssd, you have to remove it to access the wifi card. :)

i think you had 8 gb ram and added a 16gb stick
dont do that ram sticks need to be same size in order to prevent data loss and it will limit your performance by a lot
trust me replace your 8gb stick with 16gb so all the sticks are same size. all the ram sticks in your system have to identical latency,speed,voltage,size
if you have a 4200mhz ram stick and a 3200mhz stick installed all the ram sticks will run at the speed of slowest bcs the cpu cant handle multiple speeds or otherwise it'll be very ineffiecient and potensial data corruption

I'm very surprised to see the tuf is very easy to open it up. My GF63 thin is a pain in the ass to open up. The clips are very difficult to open and my hinge is never seated well again. You have to remove the hinge too!

You mentioned that this pc has one M.2 slot, but it says '2nd PCI-e SSD slot' at 10:49 of your video.(Just above the SATA3 SSD slot. Can you check it? And I have F15 FX506LI HN012 version. So do i have two M.2 slots?
yes you have 2 m.2 slots and a sata slot unless you picked the extended battery edition which will not have a sata slot but overall 2 m.2 slots are there
Good night, I have a question, from what I could see in the video the motherboard has two m2 ports, why didn't you leave the two ssd m2 nvme the 1tb and the 250 gb one?, from what I could see in the video the second port is located on the right side on the hard drive
Actually the one having 2 m.2 slot won't have a hdd slot and will have a bigger battery occupying the space of hdd.... Now as you say from the video .... The black bar on the right side of hdd is the one of 2 speaker....

@@madhabmishra7011 actually i can confirm because i have the same varient, And actually there are some varients with 2 ssd slot (one preoccupied). But not this one. And i explained it why is that before.
And yes ofcourse you can have 2 ssd in both slot if you have .
@@omdandade8245 just FYI, the open SSD slot is right above the HDD and clearly visible in the video. There was really no need to clone and remove the installed SSD, as the new one can just be put in the open slot. But Im sure he did it just to show and explain.

Waited about a week and a half to get mine from Bestbuy and I just got it yesterday and the first thing I did was upgrade the Ram (16Gb) and ad a secondary SSD (500gb). I was just having trouble because when it would boot into windows the screen will go black and then back to desktop (like when you are installing drivers for the gpu and it goes black and then back to normal) and it kept doing that, until I reinstalled the drivers for nvidia and used the custom install to do the reinstall and clean install for the drivers. Restarted the laptop a few times and I wasn’t having that issue anymore, I also let it sit for a few minutes off and then turn it back on and it still didn’t do it again. My guess what that it would switch from NVidia graphics to intel graphic on startup. Overall I like the laptop so far and for $599.99 from bestbuy was a great buy if you ask me. Might just do the clone on a new NVMe I have coming in.

Okay...so every time I connect and disconnect the power cord it flickers in and out...as if it switches cards
@@thekidbart4528 yeah it does so if you plug the battery out it goes on the silent fan setting which use the integrated gpu

Asus official site say max 32GB ram, the chipset used is Intel® HM470 which supports 64GB.Can u confirm if this laptop will support 64GB ram
Hi. According to intel, the cpu will support up to 128gb, the chipset up to 64gb. I have not installed 64gb yet in this model. It will probably support it. The manufacturers always say less than what the computer will actually support. Dale

My model of this same laptop has 2 m.2 slots. If I add a 1TB can I clone from the original 256gb and then use the 1TB as my primary drive and 256gb as secondary or would that even matter performance wise?
Hi. You can certainly clone as you suggest. The drives from the factory are not high performance by any means. If your new 1TB is a good, fast SSD, it would make a difference for sure. Dale
1tb drive is HDD and the speed difference in HDD vs SSD is like comparing day and night ssd is waay faster than a hdd which means ssd will make your boot times, load times, overall disk activity faster

Second M.2 slot is empty sir you can also add that old ssd into that port or else give it back to customer there ssd and RAM

So where is your shop? I just bought the Asus tuff a15 supposed to come today In the future I will be updating it I'm sure. But I currently live in Portland Oregon are but moving to myrtle beach south Carolina at the end of April or may so hopefully a couple of months after that I can upgrade with high ram and SSD. Anywho love watching you you make it look easy but I don't trust my shaking hands lol

I am planning to upgrade the SSD to a 1TB but struggles to find ways to transfer everything including back up, system files and factory settings etc. if I don't have that SSD adapter, can I clone the existing SSD to the HDD, install the new SSD, then clone back from HDD to SSD?

It can be great if you get a new model even with an old one but try to get a new model, they are better. It can overheat a little but if it's on a table in a cool room you shouldnt have issues.

If I where you I would go for the second one, the HyperX 16GB 2933 17 19 19 1.2V, as you get lower timing (CAS/CL) so it will be a little bit more responsive and because the 3200 one will get you nothing better as it will be limited to 2933 too 😅, so just go for the one already at 2933 MHz that will also be a little bit faster because it have lower timing.

Brother, is the gap between the screen and the keyboard (the slot) one of the excuses for the laptop, or is it a new design from ASUS?
Do you suggest upgrading from an Intel H10 ssd? It is a 512gb with 32gb Optane, 2400 read and 1400 write. I mostly use my laptop for CAD and general work. No gaming. I would like to get the best performance possible, and even though I don't really need more storage, I will get 1TB if I upgrade.
Depending on your hardware, you might get an awesome result upgrading the RAM, and using part of it as a RAMDisk, as a work area for Autocad. This is very common in Linux, but Windows support it as well.
Also, replacing the standard hard drive with a SSD or if possible, a NVME will be a night and day difference.
Unless you are a heavy gamer, or perform very specific tasks, the CPU is hardly a bottleneck.

Hey! I have an Asus TUF Gaming FX505DY and i want to make a RAM Upgrade. Do you know which memory velocity i have to buy to make the upgrade?
When we are thinking about memory upgrade there is some things to know about the Ram already in the pc, the number of stick in there and there capacity, their speed that you can see in the task manager/performance/ram it's in MHz, and the CAS /CL of the Ram. For the timing (Cas / CL) install CPU-Z, when you are searching for the new stick of RAM try to get the same CAS /CL, the same speed or more as it will ajust his speed to the stick already in the laptop, and if you can the same brand but if it's not the same brand it's fine if you have same CAS and Speed(= or +).

As a complete pc noob or beginner of great learnings i want to ask u a question, that is suppose i clone my original os and files on laptop with a new ssd or hdd and then put the ssd or hdd into a desktop/laptop, will that work?can i use the same thing in both the system regardless motherboard and the whole bios changes?

I am still using a laptopt I bought In 2012 almost 9 years non stop work barely turned off it is Asus N53 very sturdy wide build. At the time I bought it as much as this tuf cost now. Yes you can, there's no limitation to a brand when we are talking about storage. So u can put whatever compatible SSD in there, you don't have to worry about brand.
Hi sir. I brought the same laptop. And I’m trying to do the same thing as you did. When I boot up my laptop it only show one 16g of ram installed. I tried to put one in and take the other one out, both time worked. Which means the two 16g sticks are good and both slots are good. Why wouldn’t it work when I put it both? i have 2 4tb nvme in mine and a 4tb ssd samsung evo and 32gb of ram so thats 8tb of nvme and 4 tb of ssd sata so 12tb in total. crucial p3 plus gen 4 are the nvme ssd. asus tuf dash f15 gtx 1650

I want to upgrade and add a HDD but my laptop doesn't come with a generic Asus Tuf F15 sata cable.
Have you experimented with various sata cable cable, branded and offbrand like that of HP or Dell on an Asus Tuf f15 laptop with success? I can't find an Asus Tuf F15 sata cable at my local store so I want to know which type I can use as an alternative

I followed your methods to clone a hard drive to ssd on the computer I am posting from. Proceeded to do same with a pc at home, and got all bumblefracked up. The software ( Acronis ) wanted me to login, and it took another 90.00 real fast, and still did not work. I did eventually get a refund on that, they were rather nice to deal with. The money was not as important as getting it done.... So I tried Paragon software, loaded and it errors out. Probably fighting with remnants of Acronis for battleground on my drive.
Any recommended methods to clean out remnants of these programs, and get the this going? A link to dealing with warring software would suffice.

If you don't break anything there chouldn't be a problem, it depend on your model and where you are, but if you don't touch to factory seal you will have no problem. Especially if it's a MSI laptop, on some of them you have a factory seal outside the case that block your access to the screw, at some place breaking the seal void warranty and at other it don't, if you have been carefull and broke nothing. If you have a laptop that you can upgrade without breaking seal then you will have no problem, if you want to be safe, upgrade but when you take/send your laptop because he have a problem, remove what you added before letting the repair man see it.
