    Thank for the video.
I have 3 questions about the ssd :
1- is it going to be empty like what you showd in the video
2- which device can I use to transfer data from the old ssd to my laptop
3- I searched for the same ssd brand in Aliexpress and I wanted to buy a 2 TB but I saw the following :
    -P3 plus 2TB
    -P5 plus 2TB
    -P5 2TB
So which of these should I buy.
Thanks again and I appreciate your videos, I bought another 16gb ram and it worked perfectly.

      It's my pleasure, my friend.
I appreciate your support. 🫠 Regarding your question: It should be empty unless you got an ungraded version.
If you want to clone the main SSD to the new SSD, get and download the program called "Macrium Reflect." Don't get the pirated version that also works on Piratebay. 😉 Sell your kidney and purchase the app.
Using the app, you can clone the drives.
Get the 5 plus 2TB (be careful, AliExpress has many fake SSDs).
Awesome job on the RAM upgrade.
Should you have any further questions or requests in the future, please don't hesitate to ask me.
      cheers🍻

    • @uFixTek
      @uFixTek  ปีที่แล้ว +1

Regarding your question, thank you for the feedback. You don't need to worry about the battery being connected when removing the RAM or any M.2 slot cards. It is completely safe to do so, and you don't need to be a professional to perform these upgrades.
To put it in a different perspective, many other laptops allow direct access to the RAM, SSD, and M.2 slots for users to remove the cover and perform upgrades, without requiring access to the battery. This is because the manufacturers understand that users don't need to remove or disconnect the battery in order to upgrade their components.
If you have any further questions or requests in the future, please don't hesitate to ask me.

Hi. Thanks for this informative video. I'm looking to upgrade in the future my storage on my Asus tuf gaming fx505gd. I checked on Asus website that it supports maximum of 512 PCIe 3.0. Is that the limit for an NVMeon this model of laptop?I might go with the Samsung which you shared on the post.

Hi. This video helped. I'd installed the M.2 earlier in my 2019 FX505DY but had kept the original 1TB HDD that came with it when doing so. I installed Windows from the USB and changed the boot order. It worked fine.
Later, I wanted to upgrade the HDD to a SATA SSD and I opened the machine and replaced the drive, but then it went to BIOS and didn't boot. Was it necessary to add both drives at the same time? Does the laptop require its recovery partition on the original drive? Is it possible to change the HDD without reinstalling Windows 10? I even tried creating a partition and moving the recovery partition to the SSD. I have not yet moved the EFI system partition. Will that work? Or would it be better to do a fresh install? Thank you.

Thank you for your feedback! If you wish to support the channel, you can like, subscribe, or both!
Regarding your question, it is very important that when you install a OS you disconnect or remove other drives, because if you don't the windows for some unknown reason does a dependency of the other drive even if it doesn't do anything to it.
so remove other drives and install the OS on the system that you want and after that power off and plug back the older drives and now you can format and use it as 2ndry storage.
the recovery partition has to be on the same OS storage. there are ways to move move the partition but that is advanced networking and modding firmware.
Should you have any further questions or requests in the future, please don't hesitate to ask me.

If you're going over 2TB, then sure, a heatsink will extend the lifespan of the SSD, but for anything up to 2TB, it's not required. I recommend the 980 Pro; they are very durable and long-lasting without the heatsink.

Hello, i have asus fx505dd_bq120 model - i would like to buy samsung m2 ssd 980 pro. But i do not know if it is compatible(if i have pcie 4.0 support) or not.
Because people say that if you do not have pcie 4.0 support on your motherboard, it will not give you right speed.
As to my question, does it support 4.0 pcie?

regarding your question: its a PCI-E Gen 3 my friend if you place a gen 4 still will work fine but as gen 3 speed that is still supper fast. but you should know, there is no point to have a gen 4 nvme in a laptop, unless you have a capacity to have two nvme gen 4 installed then you can take advantage of the speed by transferring file from one to other nvme. if you install only one gen 4 nvme and you want to move file to mechanical or ssd external it will slow to your USB port max speed that is not even gen 2 speed.
and regarding the windows for opening programs and all, you will not see a difference from gen 2- gen 3 , less with gen4. because windows doesn't have any internal files that are big to be opening and loading, it has micro files that needs to move around and a gen 3 or even 2 its more than enough. i hope i have explained my self.
to conclude you can have gen 4 installed on gen 3 , but it will work as gen 3 (awesome), but if its cheaper to buy gen 3 get gen 3.
      amzn.to/3v51WNY
i would say get the gen 4, if in the future you get a new laptop or anything take it out and use it on new laptop, new laptops some come with two or 3 nvme m.2 pci-e gen 4 slot.

You have the option to add a 2TB NVMe SSD as your main storage and also have another 2TB SSD added. Alternatively, you can opt for a 2TB low-profile HDD. The choice is yours depending on your specific needs and preferences.

regarding your point of view, i would agree with you, but again if you love your files and important stuff, you don't want them on ssd's.
      pros and cons:
      SSD's pros:
      -are awesome super fast
      -anti-shock
      -high capacity with low profile
      CONS:
      -very low TBW (Terabytes Written)
      -very risky on file lost
-it can die without any notice! (18years of experience in field seen so many)
      -----------------------------------------------------------------------
      HDD pros:
      -very reliable
-high % of file recovery (as its physically written)
-no TBW (you can write and re-write as much as you wish
-can be kept powered on for years without fail (that's why servers keep using HDDs)
      CONS:
      - very fragile with shock when its powered on
-limit of 2TB can be fit in laptops, over 2TB the profile gets thick
      -much slower than ssds
      *******************************************
the IDEAL configuration on laptops should be an SSD (NVME m.2) for OS , and 2TB for the storage and movies and big file.
BUT if the user is a kid and very careless then ONLY SSD'S and cloud backup.

regarding your question: The big square is a 2.5' HDD or SSD SATA is much slower thatn the little longer one, the little longer one is called m.2 NVME and it's much faster than 2.5' SSD.
      The best NVME : amzn.to/3JFekuL
      the best 2.5' ssd: amzn.to/3yFY6vg

@@prushaglli9026 i would highly recommend get the 1tb nvme and replace your main m.2 with this one and install windows on that. And if you have the doh for ssd 2.5” get that too so you can use it as a 2nd storage for super fast file transfers.
