After hearing he played that Samba pa ti song, I went out and bought that exact same guitar. I even confirmed with Guillermo that he didn't changed the pickups before I bought it. I am horrible at play but looking at guitar bring smile to my face every time, such a beauty.
I bought one of these guitars about 6 years ago. I didn't want a Les Paul, or a Tele or a Strat. I'm happy with my choice. The guitar is well-made, and for a very reasonable price.

We recently saw Him live here in The Tri-Cities, WA. First concert of what was supposed to be a many stop Tour with Earth, Wind, & Fire. It was an "incredible" show.Two & one half hours of nonstop Santana of old & new. Unfortunately, on a very recent stop Carlos took I'll and needed to cancel some shows. Haven't heard how He's doing or whether the Tour has resumed?
Always loved the tones out of the PRS guitars. Although the Santana SE wasn’t appealing enough for me. I do have a PRS Eriza Verde Custom 24 SE. Can’t resist and play Santana tunes on it
Sounds great! Im impressed you got that kind of sound out of an old Ax8. Did you have to make any modifications to the Santana SE guitar or thats the way it came? I was thinking of getting the Santana SE but thought it sounded too dark and crunch compared to a custom se 24
No mods on the guitar only a good setup. And the amp used in this preset is the same that you cand find in the latest Fractal processor. The new Fractal products only adds a few new amps and effects, more power to engage more things at the same time and some other features but most of the amps models remains the same since the first Axe Fx.

This guitar it´s not my favourite ... but it has a very special tone, a lot of bass, enough mids, ideal to play lead parts, I used to play in a band with it and it works perfectly in that context, it´s light and with a good set up can be very precise. In almost all my videos you can find screen shots of the presets I´m using in that specific video. Currently I´m using only a Fractal AX8 but watching the screen shots you can use similar set ups no matter the processor or the actual real gear you are using at the moment.

What's the difference between the various knob placement on this model. Some have them close for easy use in swells and others have the knobs close together far to the rear of the guitar.
