Great video! Enjoyed the comparisons and listening to your thought process in picking a knife. Looking forward to checking out more of your videos, subbed
I love the PM 2, but like the Para 3 for normal edc. The Sage 5 is also an excellent edc that I carry on occasion. I don’t have special circumstances with my job that requires more, however if I did, like you, the PM 2 would be my choice as well. As it is, my edc only needs to do basic tasks. Good video.
Thanks Todd! My preference has actually moved on to the full size military these days. Once I started carrying one I can’t get away from it. It’s just an amazing tool to have in your pocket each day! Still love my pm2’s tho!
Interesting choice, given your praise for the Para3's ergonomics. I wouldn't have guessed that the small size increase in the PM2 could make any meaningful difference to the wild pigs or whatever ... especially if the knife doesn't actually handle as well for you. In other words I'm not saying the Para3 is "better," but it seems that you did. I appreciated seeing these models grouped together like this.
I just found your channel and subscribed! I really like the points you bring up. Ive been eyeing up the Native for a long time and think that will be my next Spyderco when I can afford it. I look forward to watching more of your videos!
T_MAC686 thanks for the kind words! Even though I didn't choose the native in this video, it's an absolute favorite! Definitely still planning on adding one to the collection soon. I've been held up by recent hurricanes down here but have a lot of new videos planned soon! Rock n roll.
Good pick for the type of work you do. One question. Working in a damp environment, wouldn’t a liner less knife (no steel liners) or titanium scales been better to avoid corrosion? Great vid.
sorry to be offtopic but does anybody know a way to log back into an Instagram account..? I was stupid forgot the account password. I love any tricks you can offer me!
Thanks James! It took me a long while of digging through browser history to find, but here is a link to the article I was talking about in the vid. drm.kist.re.kr/DLC/publication/pdf/p-53.pdf
Great video, but what park ranger goes out in the field without his firearm? Come on man!!! The Para 2 is a great choice for your line of work, I choose the Para 3 but I’m just a civilian. But, I do have the Manix 2 XL coming for my outdoor ventures. Great video and look forward to more.
Hi,, I can't believe I missed your 1st video,, anyway, this is a totally brilliant comparison of some of the best knives on the planet, (imho),,, Yep,, I'm a total Spyderco fanboy,,, my 2 favourites are the PM2 and the UKPK,, but that's only because I haven't been able to snag a Military yet,, Really great video,, thanks,,
You should get a Spyderco dragonfly 2, really good rustproof knife. It's a little small, but it makes up for that with is usefulness. But nice to see a fellow Spyderco collector. definitely subbing!
hi, may i ask, why a folder is needed? why not simply using a lightweight mora? and if a harduse folder is needed, why not a cold steel, which is proven to be way more sturdy than a spyderco? please explain and dont get my questions bad, thx.
if you pick up a military or police model, pretty sure youd upgrade. Dont waste your time on the Stretch 2 XL....its perfect, but they went cheap with no liners and feels really flimsy, very dissapointed in what could have been one of the best spydercos of all time.
Nice collection and take on these knives. And I have always wanted to be a park ranger! But it seems to difficult to get into. (I do have qualifications that’s should help me but they don’t seem to be hiring.)

Great review! Couldn't tell that this was your first video, you sounded great!
Good video, nice to hear differents points of view about why knife is suited o not to someone.
I don't have any of these knives but I've been looking to get a few of them and this helped me
Thanks! That's the reason I started making these vids. Glad it could help!
I chose the para 3 Camo scales & Black blade just luv mine

Thanks Brian! That's good to hear. I will definitely be posting a lot more very soon!

I love this review. Thank you!
Great comparison video, thanks!
reddyuda thanks for the kind words and glad you enjoyed it!
Have a look at the Delica (Ganzo) 10 quid a pop.
I carry the Police 4 with a big bright shiny blade because of swine. It would probably work against pigs, boars, and hogs too.

@Daniel Jack instablaster =)

Miguel Lodeiro thanks for watching!
Good vid. Do you have any more info on that study you referenced? I'd like to read it.
Thanks James! It took me a long while of digging through browser history to find, but here is a link to the article I was talking about in the vid.

Do carry a fixed blade? I would like to see a similar video on fixed blades.

I assume he means a back up work knife? Surely a fixed blade is preferable field knife

all great choices
A bit late to comment but great video and defo influenced my next purchase!!
I have just about all of them on your video but you forgot to look at the police model I think it's stronger than the pm2
Fantastic review. Very helpful.
Thanks! Glad it was helpful!

They make a rust proof as well lc200 or h1
Fine job on the vids, new sub
Thank you
if i can buy the 2 for 100AUD or the 3 at full price of 200AUD
Which would you recommend and why?
as it's mainly for work, smaller is better.
I like your collection
Still carrying the same knife? Good video.
I aways thought the Para 3 was more popular
I have the camo PM2 and the PM3 both are perfect can’t ask for more . I’m liking that native 5 also . Great video comparison good job.

Last time I checked I still was! It's becoming a smaller and smaller career field these days sadly. Thanks for the comment!
