Link is just about the only man on this show who isn't toxic in any way. Amelia would have NEVER been able to have this convo with Owen. She has come so far and she deserves this life because she never thought she deserved it before. Now she has it and it freaks her out. But she's not the best character in this universe for nothing.
Owen would not have even let her finish her sentences the way Link does. Link's benefit is that he does not have that saviour gene that the other men (read Owen) on the show have that can become toxic behaviour
link is such a nice guy. i laughed so much during their argument, because link was all, “i’m leaving! BUT i will come back. because i am a GOOD GUY.”

It’s wonderful how easily she is comfortable and transparent because he makes her feel safe enough to do that.
my sister and I are best friends, she struggles with addiction and it took her YEARS to feel comfortable talking about it at all. sometimes I worry she still doesn’t trust me enough.
I get so tired of her being a problem in every relationship she has. She ruins every one she gets involved in

@@judithryle2113 this scene isn't a problem. It is progress for Amelia. Talking as a person who works with those having addiction issues it is huge that she can talk about her having thoughts of using but she has not acted on it. This is a reason why I love grey's because they do mostly show how diseases work accurately.

I just really hope they don’t have Amelia relapse which leads to Link turning to Jo which leads to the predictable and overused “longtime besties turned lovers” storyline. Amelia and Link are such a perfect couple and it’s because they are also imperfect but in an adorable and real way that the fans really connect with.
Amelia’s relapse storyline on Private Practice was VERY dark, emotionally exhausting but also came full circle and after the horrific trauma she endured as a result of her own actions, it would be infuriating to see her go right back down that road.
Link and Amelia are the best couple on Grey’s Anatomy right now. So PLEASE do not mess that up and suddenly have Jo and Link pining for each other.
The only time that successfully worked was April and Jackson until the writers decided that Sarah Drew wasn’t worth the money to keep her on because apparently “her story was finished.”
Yess, watching Grey's really help us to see the world widely, it teaches us many lessons. But somehow terrible in showing a love story that could inspire couples.
They've got similar chemistry as Meredith and Alex so I don't think they'll do that. I can see Link and teddy having a thing then being a throuple with koracick more than him and Jo.
It’s likely there will be another relapse scene but I hope he will help her through it
It would be good to see her get the same support as she previously had on private practice
There is absolutely no chemistry between Jo and Link.
An addict sharing their worries of relapse is a comfortable addict. When an addict shuts about their worries of relapse, that’s usually when it happens. Bravo Amelia.
I think it’s really good that she feels comfortable telling him and it’s good that she lets him know instead of keeping it away from him and he’s so supportive that’s why I love them together
Its also good bc it will help stop her self destructing habits from happening cause shes facing her struggles versus drowning under the struggles of her addiction

i was SO proud of her in this moment. An addict will go and do drugs and not tell someone they are thinking about it. The fact that she has grown so much and link has provided her with this safe space that she felt she can tell him instead of just going and doing it, is such growth.
Link was probably not a good person to share that information with. If they ever break up and there is a custody battle he will use that against her. Everybody who is praising her honesty must have never had a relationship go bad.

Amelia has grown so much, I love this more mature person she’s become. Link just compliments her growth, I love her life rn 😭✌️
I love how healthy this relationship is. I love the communication, and I love the honesty. I love how real these two feel together.
I’m glad she told him the truth. The writers better not make her relapse again. The Private Practice storyline was dark and emotionally-exhausting. We don’t want that again.

I loved all there scenes this week. Amelia was so vulnerable with Link and that’s why they are such a good couple he makes her feel safe to talk about those types of things
I hope they show Amelia attending some NA meetings - she should be able to share her struggles with people who are going through the same thing

I think this is a really good way to bring back Addison in order to help Amelia with her addiction. Just like she did in Private Practice, but at least now she will help her before using.
Yeah Addison’s return would be great but they shouldn’t have Amelia relapse tbh - she’s in a good place and it might just become repetitive at this point

Every time I just have more respect for Amelia. She is one of my favorite characters because of her journey and character development. Hope they don’t screw that up.
The way they film Grey's Anatomy has been so different the past 2 seasons. The HD quality and focus on the characters faces. It's so different and clear...like you are right in front of them.

Yeah, that's the reality of former drug users: they still have those thoughts of using. The best way to combat those thoughts are to share them. I'm glad she found someone she can finally admit those thoughts too.
I didn't think it was possible to love Link/Amelia anymore than I already did! But the honesty and the acceptance in this convo is just....like...almost healing for me.😍😍😍
A few days ago I told my husband that I do think about drinking again he had no clue an thought I was doing well I said it happens from time to time I just thought I'd let you know so you knew...I've been 2yrs an 3mths sober from drinking an painkillers it's an on going battle but once you have a supportive partner talk let them know ..

And the sad truth is people in recovery do relapse. She shared too much with Link and it could bite her in the butt one day.
Doesn’t want to get married. Unsure about it….has a baby with each. I’m sorry a baby is more of a commitment than marriage. You can get divorced. Can divorce your children or trade in their parent if you don’t like them anymore. Haha. I will never understand people who have a baby but believe marriage is too much.

Jesus Christ. This is a FICTIONAL SHOW. And Scout may not be common as John, or Robert, but I've personally known 3 people named Scout. Why the hell do people think they have the right to judge other names? It has nothing to do with you. It's a TV SHOW.
It actually does have significance to Link! Link's first name is Atticus like the lawyer in To Kill a Mockingbird. Link was named after that book character. In the book, Atticus has a daughter named Scout who is the narrator of the book. So it's fitting that they named their child Scout :)

I pray to God that Owen doesn’t worm his way into Amelias life again just so he can satisfy his paternalistic needs. I’m so sick and tired of trying to preach his view of what’s “normal” into every women he meets. He’s so toxic and always rushes to get married so he can lock them down. I hope link and Amelia stay together as a couple like Derek and Meredith did and be a family.

The people blaming Izzy for Jo’s marriage derailing, need to go back and take a closer look. Because love her or hate her, Izzy was not the instigator here. Alex is a big boy who made his own choices. They are just pissed he didn’t choose the person they wanted him to.
