This was just so damn beautiful!!! Amelia has come a long way from where she used to be! I'm a recovering addict 2 years almost 3 years sober!!! So i completely understand Amelia's back story. And it's heartbreaking so heartbreaking!! She needed her brother at the time she was struggling the most. Yes she did awful things that's because she was on drugs she wasn't herself drugs will change you the best parts of yourself the drugs will destroy that part of you! Anything good about you will be gone. And the people around you are the real ones suffering from the shit we addicts did in active addiction. all we can do is move on from it and hopefully your loved ones will eventually forgive you and trust you again. recovery is a long process though a lot of work has to be put into it for it to work and keep you sober. you have to be willing to sacrifice a lot of things for recovery. i have learned a lot in recovery and to this day i still feel shame and regret and guilt. My heart still hurts from the way i treated people that only cared about me and wanted to help me. but i can't change any of that i can only live with it day by day. For the rest of my life and i will continue remaining sober! Because there are some bad drugs hitting the streets now. And i have a daughter that needs a sober mother not a fucked up version of one. AMEN !!! 🙏🙏
